In the horological world, collaborations often yield stunning creations, and the partnership between MB&F and H. Moser is no exception. Their latest masterpiece, the H. Moser x MB&F Streamliner Pandamonium, specifically designed for the Only Watch charity auction, pushes the boundaries of luxury watchmaking while contributing to a noble cause. Since 2005, Only Watch has been an ardent fundraiser for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research, a devastating condition that progressively weakens children’s muscles. The Streamliner Pandamonium is a harmonious blend of MB&F and H. Moser’s signature styles, incorporating H. Moser’s minimalist Streamliner case and a fresh fumé dial.
The watch also features a heavily modified minute repeater complication that showcases MB&F’s iconic flying balance wheel under a clear sapphire dome. Yet, the pièce de résistance is the watch’s chiming mechanism led by a miniature DJ panda, a mascot for MB&F’s Only Watch contributions. Crafted meticulously from white gold and standing at a mere 5.35 mm, the panda took countless hours to perfect, from design to final polishing. The panda was first introduced in Only Watch 2011 as a symbolic representation of the dreams and struggles of children affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Now, in 2023, it returns to help these children escape their daily hardships, if only momentarily, through the therapeutic power of music. The piece uniquè MB&F x H. Moser Streamliner Pandamonium will embark in a few days, along with all the other unique pieces, for the Only Watch world tour, culminating at the auction itself on November 5th in Geneva, Switzerland.
