Since it cemented itself as the first wristwatch on the moon’s surface in 1969, the Omega Speedmaster has become a quintessential part of watch history and a staple piece in any collection. Now, with a diverse collection of models and styles that fit lifestyles of all kinds, the Speedmaster’s spectrum ranges from subtle everyday examples to precious high-dollar collectibles. Today, Omega is proud to honor its astrological roots by unveiling the all-new Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite series, featuring two different stainless-steel versions.
Both 43mm stainless steel watches showcase dials made from genuine iron meteorite in a unique ribbon-like pattern. The most noticeable characteristic is the moonphase display at 6 o’clock, with two cabochon moons crafted from actual Moon meteorites designed to show the lunar cycles for both hemispheres. Even the starry backdrop behind the moons reflects the sky as it appeared during the Apollo 11 Moon landing in 1969, viewed from Omega’s home in Bienne, Switzerland.
Both models have their own vibe: the black PVD version with white gold highlights keeps it sleek, while the grey dial paired with blue PVD details feels fresh and modern. Powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9914, these Speedmasters are built for precision and performance. The new Omega Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite collection is now available online and in-store for $17,100. Shop all current Omega Speedmasters for sale by clicking the link below.
