Oris is proud to join the Billion Oysters Project with the release of its all-new New York Harbor Limited Edition, a 2,000-piece release based on the iconic Aquis diver’s watch. The Billion Oysters Project is a wonderfully ambitious non-profit aiming to restore one billion oysters to the New York Harbor.

The latest collaboration project takes shape in a 41.5mm multi-piece case design made from stainless steel, utilizing its functional rotating bezel and 300-meter water resistance for any diving expedition. The signature feature on the special edition Aquis diver watch is its green mother-of-pearl dial, which is inspired by both the color of the famous harbor’s water and the inside of an oyster shell. The New York Harbor is powered by Oris’ in-house 733 movement, driving its hours, minutes, central sweep seconds, date, and stop second functions. A covered backcase presents a detailed engraving of three oysters, with commemorative engravings signifying the special release from Oris x The Billion Oysters Project. Oris fits each New York Harbor Aquis with a matching green rubber strap and stainless steel folding clasp. Each piece sold comes with a special presentation box that includes a replacement metal bracelet, watch tool, and documentation to prove its authenticity. So far, The Billion Oyster Project is happy to announce that 75 million juvenile oysters have been introduced to 18 restoration sites in New York’s Harbor. The new Oris Aquis New York Harbor Limited Edition is currently available through an authorized dealer for CHF 2,400 ($2,500).
