A modern take on a classic.
Pushing the boundaries of traditional watchmaking with innovative designs and technology, Richard Mille has quickly gained top-tier status since its humble start in 2001. The renowned Swiss watchmaker first made waves in the watch world with the debut of its RM 001 Tourbillon, which introduced a new square case design and extra thing construction that housed its complex movement. Today, the brand now features an array of models and collections that not only look the part but also function with precision under the most demanding conditions. Richard Mille is proud to honor its history by going full circle with the release of its all-new RM 16-02 Extraflat, a modern reinterpretation of the watch that started it all.
The Richard Mille RM 16-02 stands out with its bold, Brutalist-inspired design and intricate openwork details. Its rectangular case, now 10% smaller than the original RM 016, offers a sleek and comfortable fit at 36 x 45.65mm. Two case options are available: a microblasted titanium version with polished bevels and a Terracotta Quartz TPT version in a warm, earthy tone. Inside, the watch houses the Calibre CRMA9, a movement designed to maximize light and showcase its skeletonized structure. It’s the perfect example of Richard Mille’s craftsmanship, with 67 precisely crafted openings, chamfered edges, and a lightweight titanium baseplate. The all-new Richard Mille RM 16-02 Extraflat is now available at authorized boutiques worldwide.
