At the height of the topic is Rolex, after recently posting up close shots of their new releases to leave us all guessing what’s to come. Rolex is proud to unveil its newest watches for 2023 with a focus on illustrating creative inspiration while being mindful of tradition as a pioneer in Haute Horology. From special-edition Daytonas to an all-new dress model, this year’s Rolex release is sure to have buyers running to authorized dealers to secure their favorite new creation.

Cosmograph Daytona

Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Cosmograph Daytona, Rolex marks the occasion by reworking the automotive-inspired icon with numerous adjustments that would elevate its look and feel as the brand’s staple model. Improvements include visual upgrades to the dial with resized and restyled hour markers and counter rings, as well as a redesigned middle case that extends its use of precious metals. The new Rolex Daytona now comes available in full Rose Gold and Yellow Gold Oyster Flex variations with an array of dial configurations. Also added to commemorate the 60th anniversary, Rolex unveils a special 950 platinum Daytona with a first-ever transparent caseback. The Daytona is powered by Rolex’s new in-house Caliber 4143, incorporating a number of the major innovations that Rolex has brought to its movements.

1908

The all-new Rolex 1908 fashions itself as the watchmaker’s new dress model, inspired by an Oyster Perpetual from 1931. This completely new design is named after Rolex’s start year as a watch manufacturer in Switzerland. With a case design offered in White Gold and Yellow Gold, the 1908 showcases simplicity alongside the other head-turning models. The sleek and subtle dial comes available in white and black configurations. The caliber was designed to accommodate the rigorous Superlative Chronometer demands of precision and reliability. Each Rolex 1908 comes fit on a black or brown alligator leather strap with a new Dualclasp fashioned in 18k white or yellow gold.

Yachtmaster 42

The all-new Yachtmaster 42 ties into the nautical aspirations of Rolex, making it the perfect piece to take on sailing adventures. The Yachtmaster achieves its lightweight case design from a satin-finished RLX Titanium construction that is noted for its mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. Its bidirectional bezel features a matte black Cerachrom insert that matches the traditional styling of Rolex’s black-and-white dial composition. The Oyster bracelet on the Yachtmaster 42 is also made from RLX titanium and includes ceramic inserts inside the links to enhance its flexibility on the wrist and longevity.

Skydweller

New versions of the Skydweller are proud to make an appearance in this year’s Rolex releases, presenting some incredible metal and color combinations. The case welcomes back two new 18k White Gold models styled on a comfortable oyster flex band and matching metal bracelet. New dial colors decorate the face of the Sky-Dweller, with a delicate mint green offered on the white gold version and an elegant blue-green exclusively for the 18kt Everose Gold version. The new-generation Sky-Dweller is equipped with caliber 9002, displaying hours, minutes, seconds, date, month, and an additional time zone in a 24-hour format.

GMT-Master II

For the everyday traveler, the newly improved Rolex GMT-Master II proves to be the perfect companion to take on your next flight. Rolex styles the new GMT in stunning full 18k Yellow Gold and two-tone Rolesor combinations with matching Cerachrom black bezel inserts. The GMT-Master II allows the wearer to read the time in two time zones using the conventional display and its 18k gold arrow-tipped 24-hour hand. The newest versions of GMT-Master II come exclusively fit on Rolex’s jubilee bracelets to match the styling of each case.

Explorer 40

The Explorer collection pays homage to one of Rolex’s first tool watches, which carries on with decades of models that continue to be worn daily. The all-new Rolex Explorer 40 resumes tradition with a satin oystersteel construction that defines itself as simple, robust, and corrosion-resistant. Exclusive to Rolex, its black and white dial features a Chromalight display that radiates a long-lasting blue glow in dark conditions. The Explorer 40 is fitted on the same Oyster bracelet developed by Rolex in the 1930s. This three-piece link bracelet features the Oysterlock folding safety clasp, which prevents accidental opening.

Oyster Perpetual

The inspiration of color within the Oyster Perpetual line evolves within the new 2023 releases, concentrating on creative dial designs that add fun to the world of luxury watches. Rolex decorates the Oyster Perpetual (31mm, 36mm, 41mm) with multi-color dots that resemble the dial shades of its previous generation. The vivid colors introduced in 2020 include candy pink, turquoise blue, yellow, coral red, and green. The Oyster Perpetual 31 is equipped with caliber 2232, while the Oyster Perpetual 36 and Oyster Perpetual 41 are fitted with caliber 3230. Each of the new colorful Rolex Oyster Perpetual models comes on the iconic three-piece oystersteel bracelet.
