Since its successful introduction into the world of motorsport, the Extreme E off-road racing series continues its journey of racing spec electric SUVs in the most remote areas in the world. As the official timekeeper of the Extreme E, Zenith is proud to unveil a new limited-edition timepiece to commemorate the all-electric race series. The all-new Zenith DEFY Extreme E Desert x Prix Edition features a 45mm case design crafted from a lightweight blend of carbon and titanium. Beneath the matching fixed bezel lies the skeletonized dial design, which includes a yellow chronograph layout that accurately displays the 1/100th of a second, 30-minute counter, 60-second counter, and power reserve indicator functions.

The special-edition DEFY chronograph is powered by Zenith’s iconic in-house El Primero movement, which includes 239 components and provides a minimum 50-hour power reserve. The transparent backcase allows for a closer look at the inner workings of the El Primero movement, while the outer portion is engraved to signify the special release. Designed to function in any environment that the Extreme E series travels, Zenith fits the new release with a yellow velcro strap that features rubber from recycled tires.
