Porsche Exclusive has crafted another stunning car to commemorate a highlight of automotive history: the Porsche 911 Targa 4S Exclusive Mayfair Edition.
A video shared by Porsche today shares a look back at the Targa Florio, the original and legendary Sicilian endurance race that lends its name to this 911. A course that stretched nearly 45 miles and had 800 turns, the Targa Florio ran outside of Palermo, just south of Cefalu, from 1906 to 1977. By the time the last Targa Florio occurred, Porsche had claimed 11 wins, and those winning cars are what they looked to with this exclusive edition.

“It’s not only the DNA of Targa Florio that runs in this car, but the DNA of an iconic car, the 911 Targa,” describes Nick Wilson of Porsche Cars Great Britain in the video. They’ll only be making 10 of these models, and the owner of the first one created, Ted Schama, explains in the video why he jumped on the opportunity.
