As part of its commitment to spearhead sustainable mobility, Porsche is setting sail towards the future of boating with the renowned Frauscher Shipyard. Together, they are developing the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air, an innovative electric yacht promising to define new standards for maritime sustainability. This venture marks Porsche’s ambition to extend its electric prowess beyond the road and racing cars.
The Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air, bearing echoes of Porsche’s all-electric Taycan sports sedan, promises impressive acceleration, robust pulling power, and remarkable, continuously available performance. A combination of aesthetics and innovation, the yacht utilizes the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) technology, integrating a high-capacity 100 kWh lithium-ion battery, the latest-generation permanently excited synchronous electric motor (PSM), and state-of-the-art power electronics.
Benefiting from Porsche’s 800-volt technology, the electric yacht can be charged at DC fast-charging stations and AC charging points, offering practicality alongside sustainability. Porsche’s influence extends to the yacht’s design, with Studio F.A. Porsche spearheading the helm stand design, steering wheel, and main console. With seating for up to nine passengers, the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air provides luxury and comfort. From the generous lounge area, sun pads, and upholstered benches, to the premium sound system and refrigerator, every aspect is carefully crafted to ensure an exceptional boating experience. Porsche’s distinct design touch is also reflected in the high-performance, luxurious seats, and upholstery.
Launching in 2024, the Frauscher x Porsche electric yacht assures emission-free, tranquil journeys across bays, inland waters, and open lakes, redefining sustainable pleasure on the water. Pre-orders are now open for the exclusive first edition limited to just 25 units, exemplifying Porsche’s relentless pursuit of sustainable luxury mobility.
