While the upcoming year proves to be promising for the luxury watch world and the handful of its biggest names, there seems to be a significant shift in the popularity of small-batch independent watchmakers. Among the almost infinite list of brands, the horologists at MB&F are leading the way through innovative new models and creative collaborations with other industry leaders. Today, MB&F is proud to kick off 2025 in style with the release of two limited-edition Legacy Machine “Longhorns” to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Reflecting on the last 20 years, Founder Max Büsser shares: “It is like a dream come true, only I never dreamt it. I could never have even imagined we would be where we are today back then; it is surreal.”
The MB&F Legacy Machine Perpetual Longhorn celebrates a concept born in 2009 but brought to life now as part of the brand’s monumental milestone. Inspired by the idea of elongated lugs, or “horns,” the design element is finally realized in a way that balances aesthetics and functionality. The watch features long lugs with precision placement for better fit, showcasing its stainless steel case, rhodium-plated base plates, and black lacquer sub-dials accented by blued hands.
At the heart of the LM Perpetual Longhorn lies MB&F’s award-winning perpetual calendar, a movement crafted with 581 components in collaboration with watchmaker Stephen McDonnell. Unlike traditional perpetual calendars, this mechanism eliminates typical complications, offering a smoother, user-friendly experience. With its blend of avant-garde design and groundbreaking mechanics, the Legacy Machine Perpetual Longhorn embodies MB&F’s vision for the future while honoring its roots. The all-new MB&F 20th Anniversary Long Horn Limited Editions are now available exclusively through authorized boutiques worldwide.
