A new bespoke creation celebrates a cinematic automotive legacy.
The iconic James Bond movies are known for action-packed espionage and timeless style, with the films known for luxury watches, fashion, high-tech gadgets, and prominently, luxury cars. For 60 years, Aston Martin has been the hero car of many James Bond films, starting with the historic DB5 in Goldfinger. 60 years later, Aston Martin is celebrating its 007 legacy with a new creation from Aston Martin’s Q bespoke division, the new Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition, echoing the iconic DB5 in the form of Aston Martin’s latest super tourer.
The bespoke vehicle echoes the original DB5’s Silver Birch paintwork, and its other classic-inspired touches include a Prince of Wales Check perforation pattern in the leather seats, 18-karat gold plated interior accents, gold woven into carbon fiber, and an “eight of hearts” card depicted into the sun visor.
The car, of which only 60 will be made worldwide, will come with a suite of special commemorative gifts for owners. These include a luxurious presentation box for the key, a speedform, a section of the Goldfinger film in 35mm film, a limited edition magazine, a bespoke attaché case, and a magnum of 2007 vintage Champagne Bollinger with matching glasses, also presented in a special case.
Ultra rare and exclusive, the new Aston Martin DB12 Goldfinger Edition combines the high-tech luxury and high-performance innovation of Aston Martin’s latest DB12 with the timeless elegance of Aston Martin cars in the James Bond films, especially the inaugural DB5 from Goldfinger. With only 60 examples, its small group of owners will get a taste of James Bond luxury.
