Are you looking for a nimble V8 luxury car that is smaller than a Porsche 911? The new Aston Martin Vantage is smaller than it appears. In the latest upload from Jay Leno’s Garage, he touches on the finer points of the 2019 model. They needed the best V8 available, and it sparked a collaboration between Mercedes-AMG. Aston Martin builds their own version of the 4-liter twin turbo, making 503 hp and 505 lb-ft of torque.
This is sent to the rear 8-speed transmission by a carbon fiber torque tube. Placing the wheels at the very corners of the body allows the car to look larger than it is. Along with an all-new aluminum chassis, it allows the Vantage to weigh-in at only 3,300 lbs. For $150,000 you will have a great power-to-weight ratio along with English luxury and German reliability.
