SoFlo Customs Unveils New 575HP Speedster

The newest SoFlo creation is an unexpected muscle car hero. In the realm of luxury and exotic cars, high performance supercars, brawny off-roaders, and powerful luxury performance SUVs are seen throughout the market. However, an intriguing genre of off-roading supercars like the head-turning Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato and the Porsche 911 Dakar have cropped up, as well. However, 4x4 customization specialist SoFlo Customs, based in Pompano Beach, Florida as its name suggests, has thrown its hat into the off-road capable supercar ring with its newest creation: the Speedster. SoFlo Customs is known for its customization ability of models like the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator, Ford Bronco, Ford F-150, Ram TRX, and more, and the Jeep Wrangler, one of its staples, is the basis for its new Speedster, an off-road-ready 4x4 pickup truck that is also meant to take on the likes of the Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang, as well as other renowned performance cars on the tarmac with its low center of gravity and robust engine. Inspired by the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392, and serving as an extrapolation of its performance-oriented ambitions, the new SoFlo Speedster is powered by the 392 HEMI engine, a 6.4-liter V8 boasting an immense 575 horsepower. Styled with an aggressive, short-cab pickup truck silhouette, the Speedster features a lower center of gravity than a typical Jeep Wrangler, while also sporting sport-tuned suspension, 40-inch off-road-ready tires, 22-inch wheels, and performance-oriented tweaks throughout. In addition to its highly customized exterior, the interior features custom luxury touches from SoFlo Customs, including all the latest luxury and convenience features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as weatherproof upholstery for drivers to enjoy the Speedster’s performance and its open-air capabilities. If you’re looking for a head-turning off-roader with formidable performance on the tarmac, the new SoFlo Speedster delivers on all fronts. South Florida Jeeps Takes on the Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6…and...

Presented by So Flo Jeeps - There are very few trucks on the road today that can cause an entire fleet of morning commuters to stop dead in their tracks on a busy highway, even fewer that can combine the elegance and prestige of Mercedes-Benz with the raw imagination of a mythological beast. Yet that is exactly what the nation’s favorite customization professionals have done with their Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6. South Florida Jeeps (So Flo Jeeps) is a company known for outfitting premium lifts, wheels and performance packages on all types of vehicles for the last 13 years, but more recently these Fort Lauderdale phenoms have gained national notoriety for mad scientist-ing Jeeps to create 6x6’s. By cutting their Wranglers and Gladiators in half, adding two additional wheels and full-time 6-wheel drive, the Sunshine State’s prodigal son has taken their reputation to unprecedented levels. https://vimeo.com/477769508 Yet, owner/designer/engineer, Joe Ghattas, is always searching for his next build, making each more elaborate than the ones that preceded it. In that quest to push his automotive works to the edge, he and his creative-forward crew have delivered the ultimate in day-to-day luxury and off-road function. The Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 is a 2017 G-wagon conversion that boasts an already impressive factory 6.3-liter bi-turbo AMG engine which features 700 horsepower and 600 pounds of torque. With a drivetrain that has all the advantages Mercedes brings to the table, So Flo Jeeps has outfitted it with a 5” lift, 37” wide-footprint tires, 20” Benz-branded black rims and a huge handmade, technically-flawless suspension. Additionally, in an effort to distance this specific build from any competitors attempting to dethrone the king, So Flo Jeeps has added custom features, including handmade carbon fiber fenders, hood accents, a light bar and an aluminum roll cage, with steel reinforcement throughout the frame, as well as a starry-night sky interior roof, limitedly seen in Rolls Royce productions. However, the final customization might be the most jaw-dropping, as So Flo Jeeps has transformed the newly created truck’s pickup bed into a work of creative craftsmanship that would make Frank Lloyd Wright take notes. It begins with real tiger-wood being thoughtfully placed vertically, while a raging aquamarine river forged from epoxy flows through to create a design that must be seen to be believed.     The price you ask? At the moment this exact vehicle is priceless, as it is set to be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson’s January 16-21 2021 event in Scottsdale, AZ. However, So Flo Jeeps is accepting any and all applications for customers that would like their own Mercedes G-Class to receive a 6x6 conversation for $195,000. Not too high of a price tag considering the Brabus G-Class sells for over $1 million. For more information please visit https://www.soflojeeps.com/. Visit SoFloJeeps.com

Hennessey Maximus 1000 Jeep Gladiator Desert Shakedown

A few weeks ago we saw how John Hennessey's latest creation handled muddy terrain. As expected, the Hellcat-powered Jeep didn't break a sweat. Going fast over sand is a completely different matter, so that question has been answered with the Hennessey Maximus 1000 Jeep Gladiator desert shakedown. Great Sand Dunes National Park looks like a scene from the Sahara. Situated at the eastern edge of the Great Basin, the Great Sand Dunes National Park is home to the largest dunes in North America. This remnant of an pre-historic seafloor is open to 4WD fun almost year-round. Having 1,000 horsepower and 933 b-ft of torque, the 8-lug Dana 60 axles will send sand into orbit. Spinning tires send little resistance to the engine, and it allows the supercharger to be heard for miles. Hennessey Trackhawk: Now the Fastest SUV in the World?

Everything is bigger in Texas. Seriously, I didn't believe this until I saw how prevalent 3-liter bottles of Dr. Pepper were in the state. And, as if I needed more proof than a big bottle of Dr. Pepper, Hennessey Performance just laid down a massive claim that's backed by real numbers. According to the Sealy, Texas-based tuner, their Jeep Trackhawk with the HPE1200 Supercharged Upgrade can accomplish the following: 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds 1/4 Mile in 9.6 seconds @ 145 mph 200+ mph top speed What are the Fastest SUVs in the World? Find out Here. Those three figures are downright incredible and you can see it all in action in the video below. To make those kinds of numbers happen, the HPE1200 upgrade adds a lot to the already potent SUV. The resulting output of the Trackhawk with the upgrade is 1200 horsepower and 1,000 lb-ft of torque at the engine, 1,003 hp and 892 lb-ft at the wheels. That's quite a bit over the stock output of 707 horsepower. You can learn more about this wild SUV by clicking here.

Shmee150 Tests the 1000 Horsepower Hennessey Jeep Trackhawk

Hennessey Performance is in the game of taking vehicles that are already powerful and turning them into all-powerful monsters. For instance, they've gone ahead and added more power into the Jeep Trackhawk, an SUV that's already powered by the Hellcat's supercharged 6.2-liter V8. Why in the world would they add more power to an SUV that's already packing 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque? Because that's what Hennessey does and I hope they never stop creating these beautiful machines. Shmee150 recently had the chance to drive the HPE1000 Trackhawk at Hennessey's testing ground. This specific SUV has been modified to create 1,026 horsepower and 969 lb-ft of torque. That's not a typo. In the video of him driving the SUV, found below, he notes that this Trackhawk is packing more power than a Bugatti Veyron hypercar. That's... insane.

Commando, Cure for the Common Wrangler

Measured by any yardstick the Jeep Commando is a special machine. From its genesis as a military-come-civilian implement, to its genuine go-anywhere capability, to its brutally extroverted attitude, the Commando goes well beyond the norm. The civilian Commando was inspired by Hendrick Dynamics’ tactical Commando and is as close as one will get to the combat-ready article without running afoul of the Department of Defense. When Transamerican Manufacturing Group and Dealer Services International (DSI) came together with Hendrick Dynamics to create this animal they did so with a commitment to product authenticity and an abiding pledge to supporting veterans. The first unit was auctioned at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach in April 2016. The entire $225,000 winning bid went to the Patriot Foundation, a veteran’s charity. The Commando begins with a Wrangler JK Unlimited, and just about every component receives attention. It gets a highly engineered lift using heavy-duty upper and lower control arms with adjustable front uppers and adjustable rear arms to ensure proper axle placement. It compensates for the sharper front driveline angle with a stout double-cardan driveshaft and the oil pan is protected by a Rubicon Express skidplate. This Commando retains the Rubicon’s 3.73 gearing and selectable Tru-Lok Dana differentials. It sits on exclusive 17” Pro Comp wheels in Pro Comp Extreme MT2 Mud Terrain tires. It mounts enough LEDs to illuminate a runway, includes Smittybilt interior upgrades aplenty, and its Smittybilt Gen II front bumper houses a 9,500lb XRC winch behind an aluminum fairlead. You could make this a trailer queen, but that would be sacrilege. The tan 3/16″ cold rolled powder-coated steel rock rails and 1/8” cold rolled steel fender armoring look great but are not there to simply ward off desert and forest striping. If you are ever in an unfortunate bind and need to stop a typical handgun round, you have a fighting chance. Yes, one can feel the weight penalty behind the wheel, but who cares? This over-engineered monster maintains excellent on-road behavior and is more than two-tons of fun to operate. So if the driver behind you doesn’t appreciate your forward progress you can use the 107 pound Smittybilt Gen II Rear Bumper as a battering ram, back over the aggressor on your over-sized Pro Comp rubber, or just shrug off incoming fire from your rolling panic room. But anger is not what you will encounter when driving this beast. After piloting Italian exotics, luxury icons, and pristine classics I have rarely encountered a vehicle that attracts so much attention. And eye-catching modified Jeeps are downright common on southern California roads. Nonetheless, I was stopped in parking lots, in traffic, and during the photo shoot by curious and occasionally assertive admirers. Countless others snapped photos on the move.Commando is available exclusively at select Jeep dealers across the United States and Canada. And acquiring one is a no-compromise proposition because Commando comes with a factory matched three-year 36,000-mile warranty, and factory matched Powertrain protection. Spec it in authentic military tan or black. Either way, in a world of modified Jeeps the Commando is a special cure for the common Wrangler.Learn More

A Punk Rock Crawler: Fab Fours' Legend 2.WOAH

Fab Fours went above and beyond when they created the Legend; there are no questions about that. And though you might not think it was possible, they've outdone the original Legend. The aptly named Legend 2.WOAH is fierce. It doesn't have a bumper - it has a "grumper." It isn't just ready for off-roading - it's stacked on 46" Baja Claw Tires. Forget a sunroof - it got its hair done. After a few voiced opinions insinuating the original Legend was just a pretty showcar, not capable of the extreme off-roading Fab Fours advertised, it was time to crank it up. The 2.WOAH puts those to rest, as it was built to be a hardcore rock crawler.“My marketing team game me the kibosh on taking it off-road since they would need it in 'show-ready condition' for the next year," Greg Higgs, CEO and Owner of Fab Fours, said. "That’s where THE LEGEND 2.0 comes in since we had to shut down the naysayers that said THE LEGEND was a trailer queen. It was true for a moment, but only because of its celebrity status and the need to stay pristine so that people could experience THE LEGEND in its original form.”Custom Jeep Wrangler For SaleThe original LEGEND, too, was a prototype. As the first full build to come from Fab Fours, it was technically a prototype. It used a stock powertrain, and though minor, some functionality issues were discovered during a week-long rock crawling trip in Colorado. With their second creation, version 2.0 turned 2.WOAH, those issues are resolved. An integrated grille and bumper, dubbed the "Grumper," adds extra clearance and better protection for the 480 hp V8 from GM. The wheelbase was extended to 136 inches, an additional 10 inches on the front and back, to increase stability. And, it has a mohawk.Check out the photos of this insane off-road monster in the gallery below, and visit Fab Fours at www.FabFours.com to learn more.Learn MoreGallery

Custom Turbocharged 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Jeeps hold a special place in the hearts of American marque enthusiasts, and particularly Wranglers. Their profile is iconic, but there's always a way to take an icon and make it a bit better. Taggart Autosport in Cary, North Carolina, has done just that, and, if you'd like, the end result can make its way into your garage. Purchased new and sent straight to Taggart's 20,000 square foot facility, this 2015 Jeep Wrangler has become a one-off example. A 70 mm Garrett T4 Turbocharger capable of boosting power up to 550 hp has been added, along with a Tial blowoff valve and wastegate, tuning its performance up to an entirely new level. However, despite the 3.6-liter V6's added turbocharger, it has been conservatively tuned to create 360 hp. In terms of aesthetic features, an LED lightbar, matte black accents, heavy-duty bumpers and large, off-road fuel wheels add to an aggressive and rugged appearance. The interior, however, is where it gets quite nice - fully customized leather seats can be found in the front and rear, a 9-speaker Alpine sound system provides the tunes and a carbon fiber trim kit pulls it all together. Their showroom is open by appointment only, but that doesn't mean you can't take a closer look at this Jeep right now. Check out the photos and full listing at the button below, and contact Taggart to schedule your viewing.
