BRABUS Unveils New Bentley-Based 900 & 900 SUPERBLACK

Bentley’s flagship performance grand tourer has been officially BRABUS-ized. While much of its history is characterised by its customizations of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, BRABUS has spent more recent chapters radically expanding its portfolio. Now, BRABUS is known for boats, motorcycles, a motorhome, and plenty of exciting customizations of vehicles from other manufacturers like Porsche and Range Rover. Recently, BRABUS also announced new executive leadership as the manufacturer grows, including the appointment of Milica Umicevic as Creative Director. Her role at the manufacturer evolves from an existing position in VIP relations at BRABUS since November 2023, and as the new Creative Director, Umicevic will be at the helm of the artistic, creative, and aesthetic direction of the cherished brand, as well as of the design of new BRABUS Masterpiece vehicles. Among the first cohort of vehicles revealed under Umicevic’s creative direction at BRABUS are the new BRABUS 900 and BRABUS 900 Superblack, which, for the first time, are based on the Bentley Continental GT Speed and Bentley Continental GTC Speed. The standard Bentley Continental GT itself is at the beginning of a new chapter, adopting a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 powertrain with a hybrid system to achieve unprecedented performance. Utilizing that and developing it further, the new BRABUS 900 develops an immense 900 horsepower with 811 lb/ft of torque on tap. Getting from 0-60 in the BRABUS 900 Superblack or the BRABUS 900 Cabriolet, shown in a “Pale Brown” configuration, takes only 2.9 seconds. The Superblack coupe gets to 208 mph, while the convertible reaches 172 mph. Active valve control means that the exhaust sound is configurable from sonorous to subtle, and an incredible custom body kit gives it a signature BRAUBS aesthetic, as well as aerodynamic enhancement for performance, and custom monoblock wheels also give the cars a bespoke aesthetic. Various interior options are available for the Bentley-based BRABUS 900 supercars, and they are showcased in black and “Nocturne Brown” leather, with a special BRABUS “Shell” design in the quilting. With signature BRABUS luxury displayed on a new breed of grand tourers, the new BRABUS 900 and BRABUS 900 Superblack supercars based on the Bentley Continental GT Speed are an exciting new endeavor for the cherished customization house. Brabus Debuts 800 Cabrio and XL 800 Cabrio

Two distinct takes on the niche Convertible G-Class format The convertible G Class continues to remain rare and highly sought after on the secondary market. Factory open-top models have existed in minimal numbers, and once production ceased, anyone wanting a convertible G faced has had limited options. This has left a gap in the market for specialist aftermarket engineering firms to create solutions that are structurally validated machines with purpose. German tuner Brabus, amongst others, has since stepped into this lucrative space of an open-top G-Class, and the latest to join their lineup are the XL 800 Cabrio and 800 Cabrio.  The convertible architecture is the key achievement here. Both models use a soft top system built from more than 500 components and reinforced with high-strength steel to maintain torsional rigidity equal to the closed-top G 63. The roof opens or closes in 20 seconds and features heated rear glass. A carbon fiber surface bow stabilizes airflow and reduces wind noise. The C BOW steel roll bar integrates into the body and uses exposed carbon elements that signal both structure and design intent.   Where the two models differ is in the hardware below. The XL uses portal axles designed for extreme off-road traction and clearance. Riding on 22-inch forged Monoblock Z HD wheels, it wraps around 325-section all-terrain tires and measures 82.6 inches in overall width. The 800 Cabrio uses 24-inch Monoblock ZM Platinum Edition wheels with 295-section front and 345-section rear high-performance tires aimed at road grip. Exterior finishing is equally detailed, with the 800 XL Cab XL featuring a Pale Brown finish, where the standard 800 Cab features a stealthy black finish. Further highlights include full paint conversion of chrome and plastic surfaces, exposed carbon body elements, illuminated grille logos, and complete WIDESTAR body systems.    Inside, the XL features Ravion Red leather throughout the cabin, trunk, and footwells with Shell quilting, whereas the 800 Cabrio contrasts Oxford Sand and Cairo's Brown leather and integrates Airscarf heating into the headrests for comfort at speed with the roof down. Both use quilted floors, carbon controls, and illuminated entrance panels.  Under the hood, both versions run a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 800 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque through a Speedshift TCT nine-speed transmission that you can control manually using carbon paddles. A valve-controlled exhaust system changes tone instantly at the press of a button, shifting from restrained to a full V8 profile depending on the setting. The 800 Cabrio can hit 62 mph in 4.0 seconds and reaches a limited top speed of 149 miles per hour. The XL variant peaks at 130 miles per hour and focuses on stability under load rather than outright speed. As for pricing, the XL will set you back roughly €1.05 million or $1.22 million (based on current exchange rates), while the standard 800 Cabrio will set you back €906k or $1.04 million. Galpin Motors Debuts First U.S.-Built bb-Auto Commission

Monterey Car Week is no stranger to rare Porsche builds, but this year, something unusual stood out. California-based Galpin Motors pulled the cover off its first U.S.-built bb-Auto commission, a G-Body 1986 Porsche Targa called “Streets of Gold,” a sports car that combines biblical imagery, high-end craftsmanship, and track-ready engineering into a single package. If you attended Motorlux, Werks Reunion Monterey, Casa Lee, or the Monterey Motorsports Festival this year, chances are you saw this unique car in person.  Commissioned by Alexander Everest, a healthcare executive and founder of Christ and Cars, the build draws heavily from scripture. The shimmering metallic gold paint seen here directly references heaven’s streets of gold described in Revelation, while the gauge cluster uses mother-of-pearl and 24-karat gold to symbolize the gates of heaven. Even the shift knob carries meaning, carved from acacia wood, believed to be the same material used for Noah’s Ark. That level of detail extends far beyond symbolism. Under the rear decklid sits a hand-built, naturally aspirated 4.0-liter Ed Pink Racing engine, tuned for 400 horsepower. Dual oil coolers keep temperatures in check, while modern Porsche Active Suspension Management smooths out rough roads, and Brembo brakes paired with Michelin Cup 2 tires ensure it stops as well as it goes. The car rides on custom 18-inch HRE wheels, designed specifically for this build with bespoke bb-Auto center caps. Inside, Sparco seats wrapped in leather anchor the driver, Alcantara trim lines the cabin, and a Morel/Mosconi/Focal audio setup turns the car into a rolling soundstage. But to understand why Galpin’s partnership matters, you need to look back at where bb-Auto comes from. Founded in 1974 as bb (Buchmann + Buchmann), later known as B+B Auto Exclusiv, by German designer Rainer Buchmann, he saw the potential of merging Silicon Valley tech with European sports cars long before mainstream automakers did.  His shop, first known as B&B, shocked the industry in 1976 with the Porsche 911 Turbo Targa “Rainbow Car,” painted in the now iconic Polaroid-inspired stripes for the Photokina show in Cologne. That car made headlines worldwide and brought bb-Auto instant fame.  " width="680"> From then on, Buchmann’s cars became known for their signature styling cues. He pioneered pearlescent paint finishes adapted from cosmetic pigments, embraced bold multicolor liveries, and wasn’t afraid to engineer wide-body Targas Porsche said were “impossible.”  In the cabin, bb fitted early digital dashboards, multifunction steering wheels, and high-fidelity multi-speaker audio systems long before they were industry norms. In short, he had the foresight to innovate and anticipate technology that would eventually become mainstream 10 to 20 years later.  Exotic materials like mother-of-pearl and gold trim elevated the interiors, and every build told a story, whether it was the aforementioned Rainbow Car’s Polaroid stripes or the Moonracer Project, a more mature reinterpretation of the Rainbow Car in the 1980s. Some other noteworthy creations include the bb Mercedes 600 Pullman, bb Porsche Turbo Targa, and the Moonracer Project. So what does all this mean for you? If you’re a Porsche collector, Galpin is now the exclusive U.S. partner for bb-Auto and joins the highly evolved Porsche-restomodding culture in the Golden State. Whether future commissions lean toward spiritual symbolism or experimental tech, bb-Auto is once again in the spotlight, and time will tell what they come up with next. Ringbrothers Debut Aston Martin OCTAVIA: A Supercharged 1...

Ringbrothers, the world-renowned custom car builder and parts manufacturer, unveiled its most ambitious project to date – the stunning 1971 Aston Martin DBS “OCTAVIA.” Debuting at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering today, this fully bespoke commission marks both Ringbrothers’ first Aston Martin build and its inaugural showing at one of the most prestigious automotive events in the world. “OCTAVIA” began with a donor 1971 Aston Martin DBS, transformed through more than 12,000 hours of meticulous design, engineering, and craftsmanship. The result is a British motoring icon reborn in carbon fiber and loaded with cutting-edge performance technology. “It’s nearly impossible to convey all the intricacies that went into engineering this car,” said Ringbrothers co-owner Mike Ring. “We’ve combined the ferocity of American muscle with the stiff upper lip of English sophistication and motoring. ‘OCTAVIA’ is beyond anything we’ve built before and a celebration of the hot rodding spirit, unveiled in Monterey on the grandest stage of them all.” The exterior retains the classic silhouette penned by William Towns, but with curves that are sharper, more muscular, and widened – eight inches at the front and ten inches at the rear. Designer Gary Ragle was instrumental in shaping the revised bodywork, the engine bay, the completely bespoke interior, and the countless small details that set the car apart. Under the clamshell hood lies a Ford Performance 5.0-liter V8 with a 2.65-liter Harrop supercharger, delivering 805 horsepower through a six-speed manual gearbox. A custom Roadster Shop FAST TRACK chassis, Fox coilovers, Brembo brakes, and one-off centerlock HRE wheels ensure “OCTAVIA” drives as menacingly as it looks. Inside, carbon fiber, pleated leather, and 3D-printed stainless-steel accents blend modern luxury with handcrafted artistry. The MI6-inspired theme is capped with playful touches, including “Aston Martini” valve covers and a martini-glass dipstick handle. “OCTAVIA is a combination of state-of-the-art fabrication and imagination,” said co-owner Jim Ring. “We asked ourselves, ‘What would an MI6 agent drive on holiday?’ This was the result.” With its breathtaking craftsmanship, world-class performance, and bold creative vision, “OCTAVIA” is a statement piece that redefines what’s possible in bespoke automotive design, and not only keeps the spirit of the 1970s DBS alive – it takes it to another level. RVC's "Rogue Warrior" Brings a Luxury Lounge To The Great...

The Rogue Warrior from Rogue Van Company (RVC) takes serious off-road capabilities and wraps them in a cabin that feels like a luxury lounge and rugged workhorse combined in one. Every detail, from the bold Miami Porsche Blue finish with paint protection film and chunky 37-inch Toyo tires to the sleek, walnut-clad interior, shows that RVC isn’t willing to cut corners when it comes to either performance or style. Out on the trail, you’ll appreciate the solid upgrades RVC has installed, like the Baja Designs lighting to light up the night, heavy-duty side ladders and roof rack from Rugged Design Concepts, and a stout front bumper and rear gear carrier by Owl Vans. The Van Compass suspension smooths out rough terrain, so you’re just as comfortable charging through dirt as you are cruising the highway. Step inside, and you’ll notice the smart lighting setup right away. The black walnut slat ceiling is fitted with recessed lights that give the space a cozy glow, while motion-activated cabinet lights and under-counter strips keep things functional and inviting. It’s the kind of thoughtful detail that turns a really well-equipped van into a home on wheels. Storage is equally clever as the benches lift up to reveal a hidden “garage” for the 14 kWh power bank, a Victron energy system, and the Aqua-Hot radiant heater, all of which is tucked away neatly so you still have usable seating. Pull-out drawers on beefy slides give you serious storage capacity without sacrificing style. Inside finishes balance practicality with a high-end vibe. The slate floors are protected by woven vinyl mats, Italian leather seats and cushions sport the classic Porsche Pepita pattern, and black walnut cabinets and trim have been milled, machined, and hand-finished for a warm, custom feel. Even the ceiling’s wool-felt backing helps keep noise down and adds a subtle texture. When it’s time to sleep, a latex mattress drops down from the ceiling, turning the living area into a spacious bed that can fit tall sleepers thanks to the extra width provided by Flarespace flares. By day, it tucks away to make room for a comfy dinette. The galley is all about clean lines and functionality. The walnut countertops and cabinetry feature knurled black hardware, a composite sink with a cutting board cover, and a flush induction cooktop. A hidden marine fridge keeps your food out of sight, and deep drawers handle all your cookware. Dual walnut Lagun tables and a curved LG Smart TV with Apple TV give you flexible dining, work, or chill-out zones—complete with plush Pepita seating. Under the hood is a 48 V system with a 5 kW Victron inverter, Lynx distribution bus, and a 14 kWh lithium battery that's been built into the floor. A hefty 5 kW alternator for fast charging, 400 W of solar panels, and both 12 V/48 V inputs mean you’ll stay powered up almost anywhere. The HVAC package keeps you comfortable too, with a quiet 48 V IceBox AC and a diesel-fired Aqua-Hot heater, plus MaxxAir fans and screened windows for airflow. The Rogue Warrior proves that you don’t have to pick between rugged capability and top-tier comfort. It’s the kind of van that’s ready to take you anywhere in style, with all the conveniences you need for life off the grid. Visit RogueVans.com For More

6x6 Mayhem and Off-Road Royalty Collide in 'Truck Dynasty...

If you think custom trucks are just lifted suspensions and oversized tires, think again. The humble pickup truck is what built post-war America, hauling everything from lumber to towing trailers, helping lay power lines, and playing a key role in the vast Interstate network. The big three were pivotal in this effort, and today, trucks come in all shapes and sizes, from compact to heavy-duty, from bare-bones workhorses to plush, and even leather-wrapped luxury rigs.  But Apocalypse Manufacturing, based in Southern Florida, is taking things to the extreme in the custom truck scene, which is the focus of Truck Dynasty, Discovery Channel’s new occupation‑reality series, premiering Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 9 PM ET/PT. The show centers on Joe Ghattas, founder and owner of Apocalypse, working alongside his wife and co‑owner, Ashley Ghattas, in a family‑run shop that pushes custom truck fabrication to the limits. With builds starting out as Gladiators, Broncos, and RAMs, what sets Apocalypse apart is its willingness to push boundaries on design and functionality. While most shops focus purely on off-road capability or sheer size, Apocalypse blends extravagance, everyday usability, and personalization that speaks to each owner’s lifestyle. More recently, even a Lamborghini Urus (SloFlo Customs)and a Land Rover Defender have received the full apocalypse treatment. Apocalypse builds extreme 6x6 and 4x4 trucks, while SoFlo Customs customizes a broader range of vehicles with a direct-to-consumer approach. Since launching Apocalypse, the team has built several custom trucks, including their signature 6x6 (six-wheel drive) models, carving out a niche for themselves. Now, these aren’t just extended trucks with extra axles, because Apocalypse’s 6x6s feature custom-built chassis reinforcements, upgraded suspensions, and unique styling cues that blend rugged utility with street cred. Highlights typically include widebody fenders, chunky off-road tires (40 inches), custom paint jobs, and so much more.  Throw in crate motor flex (the Hellcat V8 is very popular: but LS3, HEMI, diesels are also available) and a luxurious cabin with pretty much any conceivable material imaginable (Alcantara, leather, carbon-fiber), and you have something that’s rugged on the outside, but comfy on the inside. Their Hellfire series, in particular, is among the most popular and aggressive builds, engineered for both show and serious off-road performance. Undoubtedly, they have an equally exuberant list of clients. From celebrity chefs to NBA legends and fashion icons, Apocalypse’s builds are as flamboyant as they are functional.  Think Guy Fieri, who commissioned an Apocalypse Hellfire loaded with a slide-out mobile kitchen, or Shaquille O’Neal, who ordered a superhero-themed Apocalypse Super Truck that looks like something that’s truly from the post-apocalyptic world. The show will also showcase amphibious vehicles like the “Boat Truck” and high‑water response builds that can handle land, water, and even disaster zones.  But Truck Dynasty isn’t just about glamor and fame. Each episode is set to dive deep into the engineering chaos behind these extreme builds. At its heart, Truck Dynasty is a story of bold ideas and family hustle. Joe’s in-laws anchor the operation, running sales and marketing. It’s a family affair, with horsepower, hydraulic lifts, and heavy metal thrown in. So, whether it rolls, floats, or climbs, tune in on August 12 to watch the drama unfold and find out exactly how this one-of-a-kind crew transforms your everyday truck into machines that turn heads both in the real and virtual world.  View All Apocalypse Trucks For Sale " width="680"> Images Source: Warner Bros.Discovery

Theon Design's New Air-Cooled 911 Has Better Power-To-Wei...

Air-cooled charm meets performance that rivals Porsche’s modern pinnacle. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is one of the most impressive track-ready performance machines that the manufacturer has ever produced, with an incredible amount of power squeezed out of its naturally aspirated boxer six-cylinder engine, as well as highly advanced weight-saving techniques and aerodynamics. However, Theon Design, a specialist in creating bespoke commissions based on the 964, one of the most beloved air-cooled generations of the Porsche 911, has managed to eclipse the GT3 RS’s power-to-weight ratio with its latest creation. The new car from Theon Design is the firm’s lightest and most powerful 911 comission yet, with a 4.0-liter flat-six air-cooled engine that manages to muster a robust 421 horsepower. While that figure is much less than that of the latest 911 GT3 RS, what makes that power so meaningful is the fact that the new Theon Design commission, which was built for a US-based customer over the course of 18 months, tips the scales at just 2,450 pounds, thanks to its F1-grade carbon-kevlar body. With the 964 donor car completely stripped down to create this incredible performance machine that combines the best of the old and new world of Porsche 911s, only the doors are steel, preserving the iconic feeling of opening and closing the doors of an old-school Porsche 911. Meanwhile, the engine is placed low in the engine bay, optimizing weight distribution to 46:54, despite the rear-engine configuration of the 911 not catering to optimal weight distribution on its own. A special six-speed manual gearbox provides performance and purist feeling, while carbon ceramic brakes and advanced suspension give modern confidence along with the car’s vintage charm. As far as cosmetics, the car is finished in Azzuro Thetys Metallic, with leather upholstery and trimming throughout the interior indicating luxury craftsmanship and the bespoke nature of the commission. Recaro CS seats with leather-trimmed hard backs combine luxury with motorsport potential, and a JL Audio system with a bespoke setup and a power-deploying Alpine head unit helps continue the combination of modern luxury and old-school charm. With incredible power and lightweight construction, Theon Design proves that the air-cooled Porsche 911 still has plenty of performance merit. Image Source: Theon Design
