World's Fastest Nissan GT-R Has 3,000 Horsepower

Congratulations to Extreme Turbo Systems for their achievement of having the world's fastest R35 Nissan GT-R. Just how fast did their 3,000 horsepower GT-R go? I'll put it into perspective, thanks to 1320video's description on the world record run.Previously, the fastest GT-R ran 255.2 mph in a standing mile. The ETS GT-R managed to run 255 mph in a half-mile. Yes, it went just as fast in half the distance. That is... incredible, almost unbelievable. Also, Check Out - Lamborghini Gets Stunned by Insane Nissan GT-R1320video noted that the run took place in Colorado, making the altitude and less-dense air not a perfect fit for the turbochargers. However, it did make it easier for the car to cut through the air as it sprinted down the strip. He noted that the ETS team's goal was "pushing as much boost as they can out the turbochargers as fast as they can."Check out the world record run in the video below for yourself!

Nissan GT-R With Over 2,400 HP Sets Out to Break Records

Think back to the 90's when the McLaren F1 was the king of cars, partially because of its incredible top speed of 240.1 mph. Nowadays, a modified Nissan GT-R running 200 mph in just a quarter-mile is becoming more commonplace, putting us into an era of insane speed. Who knows how fast these cars could go if they were given the room.(Related - Old Meets New: Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 vs 2017 GT-R)One specific car, the T1 GT-R, packs over 2,400 horsepower and is looking to break into the 6 second quarter-mile time. Tony Palo and his team at T1 Race took their GT-R out to Texas Speed Syndicate's Quick 30 event to see if they could break the GT-R world record. They came close, but unfortunately running 7.430 @ 204.82 mph isn't good enough anymore. After checking his time slip, Palo told 1320video that he's going to put all the pieces together, drive it into the trailer and try again. Will he break the record? Only time will tell, but if he does, you know we'll have the video of his run here on Autofluence. All Nissan GT-R For Sale
