Apollo IE Caught Testing, Looks and Sounds Vicious

At this point, I don't need to be convinced anymore that the Apollo Intensa Emozione (IE) is going to be one of the most visceral supercars ever created. From its design to its engine, the IE looks and sounds like its screaming at the top of its metal lungs at all times. To further exemplify this is a new video from Apollo Automobil that shows the hypercar testing on the streets of Hong Kong. In the video, found below, you hear the high-pitched engine revving up and taking off on a highway-- this is the kind of car you never listen to music in because the engine is truly an orchestral masterpiece. As for the aesthetics of the IE, it looks like a dagger in the night thanks to its sharp edges and wild design. Seriously, I can't wait to see this car up close and personal. My phone's camera will be tested on that day!

Apollo Teases Something Wild

Late last year, Roland Gumpert parted ways with the company he founded. The Gumpert Apollo was produced from 2005 to 2012, and it was powered by Audi's twin turbo 4.2 liter V8. It was state of the art when it launched, but the supercar world has seen some wild advances. Under new ownership, Apollo Automobil is poised to release the Apollo IE. Owned by Ideal Team Venture, the new Apollo will emerge from the same Hong Kong financiers who purchased DeTomasso. We hope it looks something like this:Their first creation was the Apollo Arrow, but it never left the concept stage. The new Apollo IE appears to be a clean sheet design. Three exhaust ports are illuminated below an impressive rear spoiler. American race team Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus was involved with the creation of the Arrow, but it appears as if it was a one-time deal. Starting from scratch is no easy task. Perhaps working outside the constraints of the major manufacturers will allow the Apollo IE to shake up the industry. Tell us what you think will be under the hood, and stay with us for more updates from Apollo.

Apollo Arrow: The World's Newest Hypercar

Apollo Automobili, the automaker formerly known as Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH, has introduced a brand new model into their upcoming lineup, the Apollo Arrow.Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the Arrow is being called a hypercar by Apollo and from the looks of the car, that moniker is deserved. When they started building the car, they put an incredible amount of effort into having the most fluid aerodynamics possible, while keeping the target dry weight of the car at 1,300 kg (2,866 lbs). As for the final design, they landed on an exterior that was "inspired by the carnivorous ruthlessness of the ocean." Yes, it's the shark of the road.Under its hood is a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 986 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque. Yeah, those are most certainly hypercar numbers. This power flows through a 7-speed sequential transmission with a twin-plate clutch configuration. With massive power, a quick transmission, and lightweight, the Arrow can shoot from 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds, 0-124 mph in 8.8 seconds and to a top speed of 224 mph.Could the Apollo Arrow be the next big contender in the hypercar segment? Only time will tell, but the specifications are quite telling of a formidable opponent.Apollo Arrow Specs Engine: Twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 Horsepower: 986 hp Torque: 737 lb-ft 0-62 mph: 2.9 seconds Top Speed: 224 mph
