Lotus 3-Eleven Ends With Their Quickest Model Yet

Lotus is sending off their 3-Eleven model in a proper way, with their quickest street-legal sports car yet: the 3-Eleven 430. Lotus notes that the new 3-Eleven 430 "raises the bar beyond the reach of aspiring rivals." That's quite a statement, but a quick look at the specs and performance of the new model speak louder than a quote I pulled form the press release. The new model has its supercharged 3.5-liter V6 upgraded to 430 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. What's that power and a light weight of 2,028 lbs get you? Let's list it out. 0-62 mph in 3.1 seconds Top Speed of 180 mph Hethel Circuit lap time of 1'24" (0.8 seconds quicker than the Exige Cup 430) Those aren't bad figures and I'm 99 percent sure this car would be an absolute treat to drive around a track. Lightweight, fast acceleration, and an open-top experience? Yeah, this would be dessert with a cherry on top.Only 20 examples of the Lotus 3-Eleven 430 will be produced. Its price starts at £102,000 (~ $140,000 USD).List Your Exotic Car For Sale

BMW Unveils The M4 Convertible 30 Jahre Edition

It is hard to believe the M Division of BMW has been building convertibles for three decades. Everyone seems to have a story of the E30 series. The light and nimble E30 M3 lost its top in time for the summer of '88. Convertibles had fallen out of style by the mid 70's, and America's last drop top was the 1976 Eldorado. When Corvette brought back the ragtop in 1988 they were forced to add 500 lbs of chassis bracing to keep it from shaking to death.BMW M5 Drifts For 8 Hours, Breaks Two World Records BMW has never accepted compromises like the other manufacturers. That is why each successive M convertible has been an instant collectible. Knowing how much we love them, BMW has pulled back the curtain on a 30th-anniversary edition. Times have changed, and the 2-door is now the M4 instead of the M3. Only 300 examples of the M4 Convertible 30 Jahre (year) will be produced. It will arrive with 450 hp thanks to the M Sport exhaust. The Adaptive M suspension has been returned to a specific Sport mode for this limited run. Tuning for the Active M differential and the sway bars were also revised.2018 BMW M4: Price, Specs, & Review Only two colors will be offered: Macao Blue Metallic and Mandarin II. Both colors have decades of history with the M division, and they look great riding on the 20" Orbit Grey forged M alloy wheels (also specific to this edition). The interior is full Merino leather, in a color scheme that matches either of the body colors. Of course, the dash will have 30 Jahre Edition badges that feature each car's number of the 300. Spartans would approve of only 300 examples, and we can't wait to put the top down. So tell us your favorite M car story in the comments below and click the link to find an M4 near you.Browse BMW M4 For Sale

Ferrari 488 Pista Specs, Photos, Price & Review

Remember how we all thought it was the Ferrari 488 GTO? Think again. Introducing the new Ferrari 488 Pista, a new and more aggressive take on the Italian automaker's already fantastic model.Images of the vehicle were posted onto FerrariChat.com by user -CD-. In these pics we see a way more aggressive version of the 488. Its front splitter is more prominent than the GTB version and there's the addition of a massive air vent. All signs point to a more track-oriented car, right? Considering "Pista" in Italian translates to "Track," it makes sense. The images are one thing, but what about the specs? Thankfully Autocar Japan posted them in an article, but they, unfortunately, deleted that article. Methinks they weren't supposed to divulge the info. Motor1.com happened to catch it in the middle of the night and posted the specs. For power, there's a twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 engine that produces 711 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque. Compared to the 488 GTB, that's an increase of 50 hp and 7 lb-ft. Combines this increase of power with a reduced weight of 2,821 lbs (a 199 lbs decrease) and you have a car that will outperform the 488 GTB on the track. In fact, they note that the 0-62 mph time is only 2.8 seconds and its top speed is set at 211 mph. That's one quick horse.2018 Ferrari 812 Superfast: Price, Specs, & Review On the track, however, it all means nothing if there's no downforce. Well, Ferrari's engineers managed to increase the 488 Pista's downforce by 20 percent.Price? It's reported that it will be at $300,000.Check back with us for the official release form Ferrari when it's released into the wild.View All Ferraris for Sale

Porsche 992

Is This The Next Porsche 911?

It seems like only yesterday we were introduced to the current Porsche 911. The second phase of the 991 series is known as 991.2 to Porsche enthusiasts, and it arrived in 2016 for the '17 Model Year. Turning the world upside down, every 911 model features turbos except the GT3 series. This helps emissions and fuel economy ratings by coupling a tame 3.0 liter flat-six to a pair of small variable-geometry turbos.Hitting 221 mph in a Porsche 911 GT2 RS on the AutobahnPurists cried foul, as only the sacred 911 Turbo models should actually arrive with forced induction, but the rest of us cheered the availability of 370 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque in the base model cars. Naturally aspirated fans have embraced the GT3 and its wild RS version thanks to 500 horsepower and 9,000 rpm. And if you want the biggest turbos, the GT2 RS offers 700 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque. So where does Porsche go from here? The answer is in a new 911 series which will be known as the 992. We don't know much at this point in terms of engine or chassis innovations, but a curious image was uploaded to Instagram this morning by @ptsgt4. Could this be the new Porsche 992 911? Claims are this is the real deal and has leaked on the internet. (Source: @ninastegmaier) It looks a lot like the new Panamera. Wether this is true or not; what do you think about it if this is true? Let me know in the comments down below. // Via: @exclusive_porsche_models // #PTSGT4 #992 #Porsche992 #992911 A post shared by @PTSGT4 - Robin (@ptsgt4) on Feb 19, 2018 at 2:24am PST Speculation on their innovations includes more carbon fiber, less weight, and it looks like styling could be influenced by the Panamera. Save this image before it disappears, and tell us what you are looking forward to in the Porsche 911 Series 992.

Why a Truck Needs to be the Next Addition to Your Collection

Browsing the New York Times yesterday, we came across some interesting statistics: American trucks are back in a big way. Over the past decade, every manufacturer has followed each other down the rabbit hole of building crossovers. These family haulers are basically jacked-up sedans with poor visibility, limited cargo space, and wimpy towing abilities. The notion that a crossover can be luxurious is hard to contemplate, so the big 3 have responded in a classic way. The luxury full-size SUV and truck market is hot. Ford has taken the aluminum construction of the F150 series and adapted it to the new Lincoln Navigator. Using the same massaging seats as the Continental, the EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 will give the Escalade a run for its money. Speaking of Cadillac, GM finally allowed Chevrolet to build a Tahoe with the 6.2 Liter engine that has been previously exclusive to Cadillac and GMC's Denali models. Sales in 2017 were so strong that GM gave every hourly employee a nice bonus for their efforts.New 2019 Silverado GalleryThe new Chevy Silverado RST is smaller and lighter than the Suburban, and it combines Corvette power with Brembo brakes and a mean exhaust note. Essentially it's the Police Interceptor package along with snazzy styling upgrades. Since it has a more affordable price than import SUVs, dealers are having a hard time keeping them in stock. The NYT article also states that GMC is having to ramp up production on their Denali versions of the Sierra and Yukon to keep up with demand. Mr. duPont even traded in his Porsche Macan for a 6.2 powered Yukon, and it is a beast!Ford Announces Ranger Raptor and We Want It…Now All RAM Trucks for SaleFiat-Chrysler's new Ram is poised to steal everyone's thunder with the 2019 Ram series. The multi-chamber air suspension and the small Eco-Diesel engines make it a comfortable & efficient option. The Silverado and Sierra are also new for 2019. Focusing on aerodynamics and weight, the smoothed front is comprised of more aluminum than they have ever offered. The bed is still cold-rolled steel to handle the abuse of a job site. And Ford's sales of the F150 Raptor are helped by the aftermarket. All Roush Raptors for SaleThe Roush Raptor offers 500 horsepower and 562 lb-ft of torque. Working with RPG offroad, it arrives with LED lighting, Fox Racing 3.0 shocks, tubular bumpers and more. Sometimes four tires won't do, so allow John Hennessey and his team to build your very own VelociRaptor 6x6. They boost the output to 602 horsepower and 622 lb-ft of torque, which is sent through 3 locking differentials.Full-size trucks have grown larger and more luxurious, which has opened the door for the return of the midsize pickup. Ford has shocked the world with the return of the Ranger, with a Raptor version that has no equal on the market. GM's Colorado and Canyon twins offer the same V6 found in the Camaro and Cadillac, and their biggest hit has been the ZR2 package. The suspension is by MultiMatic, the same experts responsible for the Camaro ZL1 and the Ford GT. Mercedes-Benz even released a pickup, but it is illegal in the US. Bruiser Conversions' 6x6 JeepIn some situations, only a Jeep Wrangler will do. That's why Bruiser Conversions was the first shop to LS swap the new Wrangler JL. They also offer the JK Crew in 4x4 and 6x6 configurations. They have been a fixture at our Cars & Coffee shows because the 6 Wheel Drive spreads weight so evenly that it doesn't disturb our landscaping (plus, it's doubtful any other rig could pull them from atop the hill). All Silverado 2500s for SaleIf you are dead-set on a rugged German SUV, the new G63 AMG are still on the slow boat from Deutschland. Their rivals are the BMW X Series, which are not actually German. From the X1 to the X6, each one is built by BMW USA in Greer, South Carolina. Nissan and Mercedes-Benz are also planning to expand their US factories to meet demand around the world. Don't forget about our other aftermarket friends like Brabus, because they will expand your horizons. Tell us which new truck you would consider in the comments below. All F-150 Raptors for Sale

GM Gives $11,750 Bonus To Every Hourly Employee

The market has been a little shaky recently, but USA Today is reporting that every GM is giving every union-represented employee a profit-sharing bonus of $11,750. You can't deny CEO Mary Barra has turned GM around. She is quoted as saying: "The actions we took to further strengthen our core business and advance our visions for personal mobility made 2017 a transformative year. We will continue executing our plan and reshaping our company to position it for long-term success." They only made $12.8 Billion (pre-tax) in 2017... Earnings per share also beat the analysts' predictions at $6.62 vs $6.50. Mary T. Barra, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, General Motors Company, Image Courtesy of GMThey are not alone in giving back, as Ford plans to give $7,500 and Fiat-Chrysler is giving back an average of $5,000. Ford and GM both have nice earnings thanks to streamlining their US operations. Unfortunately, this puts an end to the Australian auto industry along with GM selling off the Opel brand. Our friends down under will now receive Fords built in the US, and Holden will sell re-badged Chevrolets. Opel and their English brand Vauxhall were sold to their French rivals at Peugeot-Citroen.2019 Corvette ZR1: Fastest Production Car At VIRThis gives GM one of the best balance sheets in the business, so our hats are off to the United Auto Workers. What does 2018 have in store? The Silverado is all new for 2019, the Corvette ZR1's lap time at the VIR is now the fastest, and the top-secret mid-engine supercar will be revealed. Yenko Feature

By Andrew Nabors –  February 15, 2018

Up Close & Personal With SVE's Yenko Stage II 1,000 HP Ca...

If you weren't here in November, you missed out on a great Cars & Coffee show. My old friends Ed & David Hamburger brought their latest build from SVE. Specialty Vehicle Engineering started life as Hamburger's Oil Pans in 1970. Ed realized the need for strong oil pans because wheelies tend to break stuff when the nose comes back down. Literally, the pan that changed an industry, it allowed him and his son David to form SLP, or Street Legal Performance in the 80's. If you had a Camaro or Firebird, SLP sold everything necessary to make it a supercar. Busines was booming in 1996 when Chevrolet decided to resurrect the SS Camaro. Instead of doing it in-house, they allowed SLP to transform the Z28 into the SS in a factory located next to the Camaro's assembly line. It was also the birthplace of the ferocious Firehawk, along with other GM special projects. But by 2002 the writing was on the wall. The Camaro would not pass modern crash standards without a complete redesign, so GM killed it and the Firebird. Ed decided to sell SLP to Jack Roush, and tried to retire...but once the new Camaro was announced in 2009, it was time to get back to work. They stood out from the competition by going the extra step. Every SLP part was 50-state legal, in a time when modifying your car was almost a felony. A year ago they unveiled the Yenko  Camaro 800, a fitting tribute to Camaro legend Don Yenko. We knew they were bringing it to our show, but the other car in their hauler took our breath away. The Yenko 1,000 is the culmination of many late nights and countless dyno runs. The 6.2 liter V8 is removed and then it goes under the knife. Then it is bored and receives forged internals that bumps displacement to 6.8 liters, or 414 ci. A new hand-ported set of LT4 heads and a top-secret cam are fed by a massive supercharger of their own design. The result is 1,000 horsepower and 875 lb-ft of torque. 2019 Corvette ZR1: Fastest Production Car At VIR Back in 2001, the death of the Camaro was announced. My first job was as a grease monkey at Ron Anderson Chevrolet, so I decided to cash in my scholarship and buy one of their final cars. Ed and David have been friends of mine ever since, and I still own my first car. The quality of their products speaks for itself. From the medical-grade stainless steel used in the exhaust to the vinyl graphics that still look new. If you don't need 1,000 horsepower, SVE will be happy to offer you the best Camaro upgrades on the market.
