Bentley Celebrates 90 Years Of The Iconic Derby Bentley I...
Bentley Motors commemorates the 90th anniversary of the Derby Bentley with a gathering of 60 classic models and an exclusive black-tie dinner in Crewe. The Derby Bentley holds a special place in Bentley Motors' history, serving as the first Bentley produced under Rolls Royce ownership and setting the design and engineering standards. Bentley Motors recently marked the 90th anniversary of the legendary Derby Bentley with a private celebration at their Crewe headquarters. Organized by The Silent Sports Car Club, a fleet of 60 vintage Derby Bentleys made a grand entrance to the Dream Factory in Crewe. Over 100 guests were treated to a tour of the Bentley campus, an up-close look at the refurbished Heritage Collection, and exclusive visits to the Mulliner workshops. The star of the show was Bentley's own 1934 3½ Litre Derby Bentley, a piece of automotive history that features coachwork by Thrupp & Maberley. The vintage masterpiece was proudly displayed in the Lineage area with other pre-war Bentley examples. On Saturday, a one-of-a-kind 1939 MkV Corniche made its appearance at a black-tie dinner commemorating 90 years of Derby Bentley. The Derby Bentley lineup showcased an array of coachwork styles, representing over 40 independent coachbuilders from the 1930s. These models helped set the stage for Bentley's design language, influencing the Bentleys of the 1950s and even today’s Continental GTs. Bentley Marks 20 Years In Denmark With Two Bespoke Contin...
Bentley Motors' special occasion also celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Continental GT. As Bentley Motors marks 20 years of its successful and respected presence in Denmark, the luxury automaker is pulling out all the stops for the monumental milestone. Bentley Copenhagen, operated by Semler Gruppen as the manufacturer's sole retail partnership in the country, is riding high on this celebration that also coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Bentley Continental GT. Introduced in 2003, the Continental GT redefined grand touring, introducing all-wheel drive and an innovative W12 engine to the luxury car market. To commemorate these dual anniversaries, Bentley Copenhagen is showcasing two bespoke Continental GT models. First on the lineup is the eye-catching Continental GT Convertible S, finished in a vibrant Orange Flame factory shade. The second head-turner is the Continental GT Convertible Speed in Opalite, packing the powerful W12 engine. Following this, Bentley will halt orders for this W12 engine in Europe by mid-November 2023 as part of its Beyond100 strategy aimed at electrification. Bentley’s European Regional Director, Balazs Rooz, expressed gratitude to the Bentley Copenhagen team for their relentless dedication. He demonstrated that the successful past proves well for an electrifying future. View all current Bentley Continental GT examples currently for sale on duPont REGISTRY by clicking the link below.
