Bugatti Chiron Will Go 0-250-0 mph in Under a Minute

Back in 2015, the Koenigsegg One:1 broke a world record by going 0-300-0 km/h (186 mph) in just 17.95 seconds. This was an absolutely absurd record that was shocking to read. Now, two years later, the news is getting out about the Bugatti Chiron's ability to speed up and come back to a complete stop in an insane amount of time.Related - Bugatti Chiron Revs and Sounds Off in Monaco, Sounds Downright BrutalDan Prosser of EVO recently had dinner with Wolfgang Durheimer, Bentley and Bugatti's boss. It was during this meal that Durheimer remarked that the Chiron will accelerate from 0-250-0 mph in under 60 seconds.https://twitter.com/TheDanProsser/status/831919676192075776?ref_src=twsrc%5EtfwRoad and Track reported on this fact on Feb. 15, and were then told by a Bugatti spokesperson that "this figure isn't official as it hasn't been measured yet." That being said, it's tough to go against the word of the head honcho himself.Bugatti Veyron For Sale Related Video:

Bugatti Veyron vs Rimac Concept One

In the near future, electric hypercars might spell the end of cars powered by fuel alone. Concept One by Rimac makes use of one Megawatt of -battery power and four electric motors for serious performance. The front pair have a single speed gear reduction built into the motors, but the rears have an innovative two-speedd dual clutch gearbox on each side. Torque vectoring is the process of delivering more power to the outer wheels while cornering. In normal cars this is done at the differential or by the brake rotors, but either way it involves a mechanical connection. Since the Concept One has independent control of power at each wheel, their version of torque vectoring is accomplished instantly by the motor itself. At a full charge, the system offers 1,088 hp and 1,180 lb-ft of torque to the pavement. To show off the potency of the design, Rimac's chief test driver Miro Zrncevic took to a closed course against a Bugatti Veyron. Riding shotgun is William Herbert, the 18th Earl of Pembroke. His car collection knows no bounds, so perhaps he sees a Rimac as his next acquisition. The opponent is almost evenly matched, with the Veyron Super Sport offering 1,100 lb-ft of torque and 1,200 metric horsepower. Bugatti has a weight advantage of 30 lbs, but that is insignificant at these levels of power. The world needs more thousand horsepower cars, so we hope Rimac brings the concept one to its fruition. In the meantime we have a few Veyrons to choose from, so click on the link below and stay with us for more wild comparisons. All Bugatti For Sale

Clash of the Titans: McLaren F1 vs Bugatti Veyron

First off, the video included in this article by Kidston.TV is quite possibly one of the most gorgeous automotive videos I've ever seen. Not only are the subjects of the video, the Bugatti Veyron and McLaren F1, iconic in their own right, the videography is quite stunning. Each of these cars were once kings of the road. Back in the 1990's, everyone knew that the McLaren F1 was THE car. It was expensive, insanely fast and just gorgeous. In fact, Andy Wallace drove the F1 XP5 prototype car to a top speed of 240.1 mph back in 1998. That kind of speed in a road car was unheard of at the time.(Also Read - The First Bugatti Chiron Crash Has Happened)Fast forward to the early 2000's when the Bugatti Veyron entered the scene. Packing a massive W16 engine equipped with four turbos, the Veyron immediately became the king of cars. However, it wasn't until 2010 when the Veyron Super Sport became the world's fastest production car, hitting an average maximum speed of 267.856 mph. It's these incredible accolades resting behind each of these cars that makes the comparison between the two so interesting. Sure, they are from different decades and one is naturally aspirated, while the other has four turbos, but they are both equally special. In the video below, you'll see the two cars racing around beautiful scenery and even get a chance to see Andy Wallace drive both- not only did he hit the top speed in the F1, but he was also a test driver for the Veyron. Fortunately nobody was hurt."Thankfully, nobody was hurt. However, it still stinks to see parts a $2.5 million hypercar being dragged across the road as it's being towed. Also, we're also not sure if this was a test car or one that was meant for a customer. As soon as more information is released, we'll be sure to write about it. Bugatti Chiron and Vision GT Sold to this Guy for How Much?

When someone buys a supercar, we all get a little jealous and bask in their glory by drooling over the videos and Instagram posts of the vehicle. Especially when it's a Bugatti. But when someone acquires two Bugattis---one of which doesn't even have official specs released yet--- we start to wonder who this person is and how he (or she) accomplished such a feat.YouTube's effspot felt the same way when he noticed a Bugatti Chiron and Vision GT were sold to the same person so he set out to do a little research. First, he dug through social media to learn more about the buyer. Turns out said buyer seems to be the King of Saudi Arabia's grandson... well that explains how said buyer afforded such iconic supercars.(Related: Bugatti Chiron Revving Sounds Savage) Next, effspot found out the vehicles were sold directly by the manufacturer in a secret bid. So exactly how much did the Saudi Arabian king's grandson pay for the Chiron and Vision GT? Well, unfortunately, we still don't know. Effspot, through his research, was able to narrow it down though.Check the Specs on the Bugatti ChironHe asserts the vehicles could have cost anywhere from $5 million to a whopping $18 million. So the Bugatti Vision GT price is still a mystery.Other questions remain, though. Like, who exactly is the buyer? How did he acquire not just one, but two incredible vehicles without reportedly having a history of owning Bugattis? How did he beat out well-known collectors? Outbidding could definitely be one way. His status as Saudi royalty could be another. We may never know, but this is still an interesting insight into the world of collecting some of the rarest cars in the world.Check out the video below to learn more about how effspot put his detective skills to use and see the Chiron in action.Bugatti for Sale
