FIA Cage Magnesium Wheels DRS Wing: A New Single-Seat EV ...

This is the Baltasar Revolt R, an all-electric concept car with supercar specs and race-ready hardware. Built in Spain and unveiled at the Automobile Barcelona Show, it is an evolution of the original Baltasar Revolt, an electric roadster that was first shown in 2021. While the production version of the roadcar is still some time away, ahead of its 2026 launch, the R Concept previews what a track-only version could look like.  Coming in at 600 pounds less than the already lightweight Mazda MX-5 Miata, the Revolt R tips the scales at just 1,763 pounds, which is very impressive for an EV. The chassis is made from a blend of carbon fiber and FIA-certified chromoly steel, with magnesium wheels painted in a contrasting gold finish. Suspension components, too, are high-tech, made from carbon fiber, Kevlar, and aerospace-grade aluminum. On board, there’s just one FIA-grade carbon-bucket seat and a quick-response Formula–style steering wheel.  Baltasar hasn’t disclosed the complete power figures just yet, but the road-going Revolt already delivers 500 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque from the twin electric motor setup. Combined with a radical aero-package, which includes a front splitter and a rear diffuser that works with an active rear wing with Formula 1-style DRS tech, the Revolt R positions itself to serve as a threat to an elite rank of already established lightweight track cars. Think models like the Radical SR10, Caterham 620R, the BAC Mono, and the Ariel Atom 4. However, unlike most of its gas-powered rivals, the Revolt R is electric and packs a 700-volt battery architecture with Baltasar claiming a recharge time of just five minutes to 80%, with their proprietary DC fast charger. With an estimated $510,000 starting price, the Baltasar Revolt R is positioned considerably higher than models like the $150,000 Radical SR10 and the BAC Mono, which’ll set you back $200,000, and the Ariel E-Nomad is priced just shy of $90,000. However, compared to the likes of the McMurtry Spéirling PURE, the 1,000 all-electric hypercar that generates 4,400 pounds of downforce and costs $1.04 million, the Revolt R seems like a bargain. Most Affordable Audi e-tron GT Debuts And Its Anything Bu...

Audi has quietly revealed a new base e-tron GT in Europe. While it may have the most modest badge in the all-electric performance sedan’s lineup, don’t let the entry-level label fool you. Visually, Audi has kept things subtle, and the overall design with the extended wheelbase, sleek coupe-like profile, and large wheels mirrors its more expensive S and RS e-tron GT stablemates, save for a few more black accents up front. Starting at €108,900 in Germany, this base model e-tron GT undercuts the S by over €17,000. However, those savings don’t come with any compromises. You still get dual motors with 496 horsepower (577 hp with launch control) and Quattro all-wheel drive for year-round usability. Sure, it's 0.6 seconds slower than an e-tron S, but the base model is 66.1 pounds lighter. Despite weighing 5,200 pounds, the entry-level GT still gets to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds flat and offers 12 more miles of range over its sportier sibling.  With a 97-kWh usable battery pack, the base GT offers 622 kilometers (386 miles) on the European WLTP cycle. With support for 320 kW fast charging, you should be able to add about 285 kilometers (177 miles) of range in just 10 minutes. Inside, it's typical Audi fare, with eight-way adjustable sport seats with integrated headrests, a low-slung driving position, and clever battery packaging that opens up more space in the sport cabin. When it comes to practicality, the rear seat backrests can be folded partially or completely, and there’s a generous 405 liters (14.3 cubic feet) of space in the trunk and an additional 77 liters (2.7 cubic feet) in the frunk. Audi hasn’t announced U.S. pricing yet, but expect it to cost well into the six figures. Currently, the e-tron GT range starts with the S priced at $125,500 where whereas the top-of-the-line RS e-tron GT will set you back $167,000.  In terms of the competition, the base rear-wheel drive Porsche Taycan with 402 horsepower and an EPA-estimated 274 miles of range starts at $100,300. The entry-level Lucid Air starts at $69,900, and even the more potent Grand Touring model with 819 horsepower and 512 miles of range starts at $110,900, undercutting the e-tron GT.  Moving forward, for a brand like Audi that manufactures all of its models outside the United States, a lot of its future pricing strategy will depend on President Trump's recent tariffs imposed on imported cars and Auto parts. The German automaker is exploring U.S. manufacturing either by expanding VW Group plants or through new facilities. A decision regarding the exact location and scope for U.S. production is expected later this year. View All Audi e-tron GTs For Sale Source: Audi

Audi Eyes Sale Of Italdesign In Wake Of Cost-Cutting Drive

Italdesign, one of Italy’s most iconic automotive design firms, may soon change hands as Parent company, Audi, intensifies its cost-cutting measures.  According to a recent report by Italian publication Corriere della Sera, employees were informed during a company-wide meeting on May 5, at its Moncalieri headquarters, that the firm was officially on the market. This move comes as part of a broader restructuring effort after Audi had a challenging 2024 with a variety of contributing factors, including sluggish EV sales and intensifying competition both in Europe and China.  Lamborghini, under Audi ownership, acquired a 90.1% stake in Italdesign back in 2010. A complete takeover of the company took place in 2015, after the famed Giorgetto Giugiaro and his son sold their remaining 10%. Founded in 1968 by Giugiaro and Aldo Mantovani, Italdesign has earned a reputation for penning some of history's most celebrated and beautiful cars. Their automotive portfolio to date spans more than 180 designs, ranging from exotics like the Maserati MC12, Lamborghini Gallardo, BMW M1, DeLorean DMC-12 to everyday models like the Mk-1 VW Golf and Fiat Panda. One of the more recent projects that garnered international headlines was the GT-R50 NISMO collaboration with Nissan in 2018, where the company was tasked with designing a 50th anniversary special for both firms. Over the decades, Italdesign has expanded its services beyond automotive to other avenues of product and transportation design. While the company remains profitable under current CEO Antonio Casu, reporting €286 million in assets, €145 million in revenue, and €20 million in profits in 2023, the vast majority of its contracts depend on the Volkswagen Group, with only 15% of its turnover coming from external sources. This casts a shadow on the company's future.  The situation in Italy’s design valley, once a hotbed for coach builders, shows a broader trend of declining demand for exterior design services. Pininfarina, Italdesign’s long-term rival, was acquired by Indian conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra in 2015. Bertone, another big name in from the Valley also filed for bankruptcy in 2014. Now owned by Ideactive, it sets to relaunch as a brand focused on luxury and high-performance vehicles. It is worth noting that VW hasn’t officially announced the sale of Italdesign, and a follow-up meeting is scheduled for May 19 with a delegation from the Industrial Union of Turin, which should give us more details.  No potential buyers have surfaced so far, but Corriere della Sera added that engineering multinationals could be on the cards.  View Luxury Cars For Sale Source: Corriere della Sera

Land Rover Set For Rally-Raid Racing Comeback With Defend...

Land Rover is making a bold return to rally-raid racing with the Defender Dakar D7X-R. Wrapped in a distinctive camouflage design, this purpose-built prototype has just wrapped up testing in the Moroccan Sahara desert. This is a significant more for the British brand, which has a storied past with long-distance endurance racing. Three competition Defender Dakar D7X-Rs will take part in the ‘Stock’ category of the Dakar Rally in 2026, whereas a two-car entry will participate in the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) next year. The team has roped in 14-time Dakar Rally winner, Stéphane Peterhansel, and Rokas Baciušk young rising star in the world of rally racing. Peterhansel's extensive experience, combined with Baciuška's recent successes, including a W2RC championship in the T4 class, should bring a blend of expertise and youthful energy to the team. Showcasing strength and durability, the Dakar D7X-R is built upon the robust underpinnings of the production Defender Octa, and shares a lot, including its lightweight aluminum body based on the D7x architecture, transmission, and driveline layout, with the same 626 horsepower, 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine doing duty under the hood. Land Rover’s history with the Dakar Rally dates back to the early years of the event. Back in 1981, a Range Rover Classic won the rally, in a display of the brand’s off-road prowess. Over the years, countless Land Rover models, including vintage Rovers and Bowler vehicles, have taken part in the Desert rally. The Dakar itself has also evolved since its inception in 1979. Originally, the Paris-to-Dakar rally was conceived by French racer Thierry Sabine and was designed to put man and machine to the ultimate test across some of the world’s most challenging terrains. Land Rover’s renewed commitment to the Rally-Raid racing with the Defender Dakar D7X-R marks a return to the brand’s roots of competition 4x4s and endurance racing. Prior to the team launch, Land Rover has an exhaustive test program planned, ahead of both events in 2026. View All Land Rover Defenders For Sale Image ource: Land Rover

A sleek black sports car, reminiscent of the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, is parked on a road lined with trees under a cloudy sky, exuding power worthy of the 1/2 Mile Top Speed Record.

Watch The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Outgun Hennessey’s Sta...

Swedish hypercar maker Koenigsegg has added yet another high-speed milestone to its résumé when a Jesko Absolute recently hit 359.83 km/h (223.59 mph), setting an unofficial world record for production car top speed in a standing 1/2 mile, and took 13.27 seconds.  A short Instagram video that briefly features founder Christian Von Koenigsegg captures all the action. The run was carried out just outside Koenigsegg’s factory in Ängelholm with test driver Markus Lundh behind the wheel. Onboard footage included a GPS-based Dragy readout. Now, although the record hasn’t been independently verified just yet, it outpaces the previous " title="YouTube video" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen> back in July 2024, where it took 14.51 seconds to complete the standing 1/2 mile.  Now, this isn’t the Jesko Absolut’s first claim to fame. It already holds the " title="YouTube video" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen> completing both acceleration and braking cycles in just 27.83 seconds. Edging out its own stablemate, the Regera’s previous best, the Jesko Absolut hit 412 km/h (256 mph) on that historic run in 2023. At the heart of the Jesko lies a proprietary 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 making 1,280 horsepower on regular gas, and 1,600 horsepower on E85 fuel. This flat-plane crank V8 sends power exclusively to the rear wheels via a 9-speed multi-clutch transmission that the company calls Light-speed. Unlike traditional gearboxes, what sets this unit apart is the seven clutches, making those lightning shifts possible, paying dividends on record runs like this one. Koenigsegg has delivered Absolut and Attack variants since 2022, with production capped at 125 units. The Absolut variant has one purpose: top speed. Where the track-oriented Jesko Attack variant focuses on downforce, up to 3,000 pounds of it (F1 cars make up to 6,000 pounds of downforce), the Absolut is all about being as slippery as possible, allowing it to slice through the air with minimal drag. With a curb weight of just 3,100 pounds, the result is a theoretical top speed of 310 mph, based on factory simulations.  As the competition in the hypercar space races to break the 300+ mph barrier, Koenigsegg certainly remains a frontrunner. As for this particular record, as it is yet to be certified by third parties, now all that remains is an official run from Koenigsegg.  View The Best Koenigsegg Hypercars For Sale Today View this post on Instagram A post shared by Christian von Koenigsegg (@heycvk) Source: Koenigsegg

The Two Models That Helped Lamborghini Post 29.6% Revenue...

With 2,967 deliveries, Automobili Lamborghini just posted strong first-quarter sales numbers for 2025. With  €895.2 million in revenue, this is a 29.6% jump over Q1, 2024 results. Operating income (€248.1 million) rose even faster by 32.8%. CEO Stephan Winkelman praised the brand’s continued resilient performance to strong global demand and the roll-out of two key models: The Revuelto, Lamborghini’s first V12 plug-in hybrid, and the Urus SE, a hybrid version of its super SUV. Production of both models is currently at full capacity, with the Revuelto carrying a two-year waiting list. “The results confirm the strength of our brand, even in an uncertain economic context. It’s up to us to build our own resilience.” - Stephan Winkelmann, CEO, Automobili Lamborghini Building on last year's record numbers, Lamborghini’s sales figures stand out as other luxury and performance automakers scramble to rework strategies in the face of President Trump’s 25% tariffs on imported vehicles and auto parts, which came into effect on April 3, 2025. Brands like Aston Martin will reduce U.S.-bound shipments, JLR has paused all exports, while Porsche and Audi are holding shipments as they evaluate long-term solutions. Ferrari announced a 10% hike on some of its models.  Despite the mounting pressure, Lamborghini, for now, appears unfazed in these uncertain times. The United States led Lamborghini sales across all regions in Q1, with 933 units, followed by Germany with 366 units and the U.K. with 272 units. With 1,034 units, the Americas saw a 21% increase compared to +7% and +14 % increases from the EMEA and APAC regions. Having said that, Lamborghini is well aware that all this could very well change if trade conditions tighten further, stating that protectionist measures could have negative effects for growth, competitiveness, and development. The Italian brand currently exports all of its vehicles from Italy, and for the foreseeable future, can rely on its full order book to continue to work with buyers willing to wait.  View All Lamborghinis For Sale Source: Lamborghini

Black and white Cadillac Formula 1 new logo above the words “CADILLAC FORMULA 1 TEAM” on a white background, unveiled at the Miami Grand Prix.

Cadillac Formula 1 Team Debuts Bold New Logo at Glamorous...

The new Cadillac Formula 1 Team has revealed its official team logo in a cinematic teaser video unveiled during a star-studded event at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix. Set to join the FIA Formula 1 World Championship grid in 2026, the team took center stage at Queen in South Beach, Miami, hosting a high-profile launch that matched the luxury and ambition of the brand. The exclusive event, hosted by actor and former NFL star Terry Crews, brought out motorsport royalty, including Mario Andretti and ex-Ferrari F1 winner Eddie Irvine. A key highlight of the evening was the first glimpse of the team’s bold branding, a visual representation of Cadillac’s entrance into the pinnacle of global motorsport. General Motors, through its iconic Cadillac luxury brand, is stepping into Formula 1 with a 350-strong team to compete against elite names like Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG, McLaren, and Red Bull Racing. The entry is backed by a partnership with TWG Motorsports, led by Dan Towriss and born out of the Andretti Global organization, which competes in the IndyCar Series and Formula E World Championship. The team’s branding draws from Cadillac’s rich heritage and American identity, bringing a fresh voice to Formula 1’s traditionally European landscape. “Cadillac is honored to share the F1 stage with the best luxury brands from around the world,” said GM President Mark Reuss. “It’s a brand whose legacy on and off the track is filled with innovation, technological precision, and timeless beauty. Our journey has been long, but from the very beginning, it has been about ambition… audacity… and now acceleration.” https://twitter.com/Cadillac_F1/status/1918850162509709602 Cadillac Formula 1 Team CEO Dan Towriss also addressed the journey to Formula 1: “It’s been a long journey, and when we said we were going to build a Formula 1 team, we were told it would be ‘too hard, too ambitious and take too long to do it,’ but every ‘no’ sharpened our focus… Every time we ran into an obstacle, we just found a new way, a new path to get around it.” As the 11th team on the 2026 Formula 1 grid, speculation has intensified around Cadillac’s driver lineup. American IndyCar star Colton Herta remains a strong candidate, while a huge crowd assembled outside the Miami event and echoed chants of “Get Checo!” in support of Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez, following his exit from Red Bull Racing at the end of last season. Cadillac has appointed experienced F1 figure Graeme Lowdon as team principal and will begin racing with Ferrari power units until 2029, when GM Performance Powertrains will take over as a full FIA-approved F1 power unit supplier. With the reveal of its branding, Cadillac has set the tone for what promises to be a groundbreaking chapter in luxury performance and American motorsport ambition. Limited-Run Mercedes-AMG GT 63 'APXGP Edition' Unveiled A...

With the 2025 Miami Grand Prix weekend upon us, Mercedes-AMG has taken the wraps off the GT 63 “APXGP Edition”, a limited-run coupe that celebrates the upcoming Apple Originals film, F1. Starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, and directed by Joseph Kosinski (who also directed Top Gun: Maverick), was shot during actual Grand Prix weekends. Pitt plays a retired driver pulled back into the high-stakes world of Formula 1, mentoring a young talent portrayed by Idris. Lewis Hamilton served as one of the producers, while Mercedes-AMG played a key role in production, from supplying track-ready AMG models, including an AMG SL, G-Class, GT, and FIA safety and medical cars, to helping with the crafting of the movie’s fictional racing team, APXGP. The race cars featured in the film, convincingly wrapped by Mercedes to look like F1 cars, are built on a Formula 2 chassis.  This brings us to the special edition road car. The AMG GT 63 APXGP Edition borrows heavily from the fictional race team. Painted matte black with race gold accents surrounding the AMG-specific grille, it wears a chequered flag motif behind the front fender vents and is set against contrasting matte race gold 21-inch forged wheels. The carbon-fibre aero-kit, made up of splitters, sills, rear diffuser, and a fixed rear wing, is shared with top-tier AMG packages. As part of the extended Night Edition Package, black chrome now features on the radiator grille, the AMG crest, and the three-pointed star on the rear.   Inside the race gold theme continues, with carbon fiber trim, black Nappa leather, and microfiber suede on the seats and steering, set against gold contrast stitching on the door panels, instrument panel, and the center armrest. It doesn’t stop there as the door sill trims feature AMG lettering that is backlit in gold, and the floor mats come with a leather insert embroidered with the APXGP logo in race gold. On the tech front, you get a high-end 15-speaker 1,170-watt Burmester audio system and a data logger that comes with the AMG Track pack. Just 52 examples of this special edition will be made worldwide, and each will come with a numbered badge that showcases the car’s exclusivity.  As for performance, this sports car may be movie-themed, but it still packs a hand-built 4.0-liter Bi-turbo V8 with 577 horsepower, which gets you to 60 mph in just over 3.0 seconds. Throw in all-wheel drive, active suspension, a front-axle lift system, rear wheel-steering, and carbon ceramic brakes, and you’ve got yourself a fantastic grand tourer that can also do duty on track. Mercedes-AMG hasn’t announced pricing for the APXGP Edition, but considering the standard GT63 coupe starts just shy of $180,000, this limited run model targeting collectors should cost more. For fans, expect high-octane drama in the film F1, which is set to hit theaters internationally on June 25 and June 27 in North America. View All Mercedes-AMG GTs For Sale Source: Mercedes-AMG

Aerodynamics, Elevated: How Aston Martin’s Design DNA Sha...

From the moment you see it, the Aston Martin Residences doesn’t just remind you of a car, it reminds you of their cars. Clean. Commanding. Effortless. Standing 66 stories above the edge of Biscayne Bay, the building takes its design language directly from Aston Martin’s most iconic vehicles. The tower’s curved, aerodynamic form echoes the silhouette of a DB11, smooth and uninterrupted, sculpted for motion. Like the car, it isn’t loud or angular. It’s balanced, refined, and fast without shouting.Step back, and the tapering of the structure begins to feel familiar, like the profile of a Valhalla, narrowing at the waist and flaring again as it rises. It’s a study in proportion. Just as each Aston Martin is designed for performance and poise, the building’s architecture creates a sense of lift, like it's ready to take off. The glass façade wraps around the tower with the same precision you’d see in the body panels of a Vantage. Reflections shift as the sun moves, playing off the curves like light on polished aluminum. It doesn’t just look engineered. It looks wind tunnel tested. The connection deepens inside. Residences are designed with the same intention as a GT cabin: open, breathable, yet focused. The flow of each floor plan mirrors the spatial rhythm of a DBX, offering comfort without compromise. Materials matter here: hand-finished woods, tailored leather accents, and metallic details pulled directly from Aston Martin’s design studio in Gaydon. Even the lighting feels automotive, subtle, ambient, built to highlight form over flash. Balconies extend like rear spoilers, angled, aerodynamic, and functional. They don’t just frame the view. They shape the building’s rhythm, floor after floor, the way a rear diffuser shapes airflow beneath a supercar. And then there’s the pinnacle, the triplex penthouse. Delivered with one of only 24 Aston Martin Vulcans ever made, it isn’t just a collector’s piece. It’s a declaration. An understanding that some things are built not just to impress, but to endure. That design, when done right, becomes an identity. The Aston Martin Residences doesn’t borrow from the brand, it is the brand. A vertical grand tourer. A structure sculpted with the same performance logic, aesthetic restraint, and timeless elegance that has defined every car to wear the Aston Martin wings. And for those who see what others don’t, those who know the difference between fast and beautifully fast, perhaps this building already speaks your language. First Ferrari EV On Track For October Launch With Core Te...

Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna reaffirmed the Italian brand’s commitment to maintaining control of its core technologies, as it prepares for the unveil its first all-electric vehicle in October. In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Vignia said that key components will continue to be developed in-house. While he acknowledged ongoing business relationships with suppliers in Asia for non-strategic parts, he dismissed speculation about a potential collaboration with Chinese EV startup Leap Motor, clarifying that Ferrari does not purchase platforms or strategic components from external sources. I would like to remind three important things for our brand. 1. In Ferrari, we don't use platform, 2. We don't buy platform from outside, 3. We'll always keep in-house strategic components Benedetto Vigna, CEO, Ferrari If we look at Ferrari’s journey with electrification, it has its roots in the KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) used in F1 race cars in the late 2000s. The company first introduced hybrid-electric technology in a road-going model with the La Ferrari hypercar in 2013 . Since 2020, cars like the SF90 Stradale and the 296 GTB have expanded electrification across the lineup. The upcoming EV will be its first battery-electric vehicle, and Ferrari has invested heavily in a new assembly facility for the production of both hybrid and BEVs. The ‘E-Building’ plant, north of its Maranello campus, will be central to Ferrari’s next generation of vehicles is now nearly complete. Spanning 42,500 square meters, it will help boost the annual capacity by 6,000 units. With a Vigna added that buyers will soon have the choice between traditional gas/ICE, hybrids, and EVs, with 60% of models being offered by 2026, coming from electrified models. Also, in the face of U.S.-China trade tensions and looming tariffs, Ferrari has already adjusted its pricing structure. Vigna has said that any cars invoiced before April 2nd would see no price hikes, and models like the Roma, 296 and SF90 will remain unaffected regardless of the order date. Models like the 12Cilindri, Purosangue SUV and F80, will see an increase of up to 10%. Even in these uncertain times and volatility in the auto market, Ferrari’s stock has been relatively stable, and this is reflected by a full order-book through 2026. Vigna said that global demand remains strong and is growing, particularly in new regions like Korea and Eastern Europe, expanding its reach beyond traditional markets. Demand in China alone has doubled since before the pandemic, but volume is still modest compared to Europe and the United States.  The upcoming EV marks a pivotal moment in the Italian automaker’s history and while combustion engines are at the very heart of any Ferrari, the company says that it will be rooted in the brand’s racing heritage. It will be one of six new models that Ferrari plans to launch this year and more details will be revealed by the CEO on May 6, 2025, during Ferrari’s earnings call.
