Aston Martin is one of the world’s most celebrated manufacturers in the automotive industry, with a history of luxurious British performance cars and a legacy of racing icons. Ahead of this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the 75th iteration of the legendary event, Aston Martin Q has created a trio of exclusive DB12 S cars, all tying Aston Martin’s racing roots to those of the historic concours event.
This year’s concours will highlight ‘50s sports cars, historic racers, and the history of performance-oriented automotive engineering and design. Referencing race cars from the same period as the inaugural Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Aston Martin’s new trio of exclusive cars echoes the 1951 Aston Martin Racing Team cars.
That year, the Aston Martin Racing Team competed with three DB2s, registered with plates that read ‘VMF,’ and each sporting a uniquely colored grille. Built the year before, they were made to compete at Le Mans and raced in other competitions in 1951.

Each of the three DB12 S cars references one of the three cars from 75 years ago, including VMF 63, with accents in Rosso Red, VMF 64, with Speed Yellow details, and VMF 65, which features accents in Ellwood Blue.
The cars are finished with Carbon Black exteriors and feature painted grilles, “75” roundel graphics, and other commemorative details. The interiors feature contrast stitching and special embroidery, commemorative plaques, and painted touches.
In addition to debuting the new bespoke cars, Aston Martin’s presence at Monterey Car Week this year also includes “Astons on the Avenue,” an event gathering old and new Aston Martin cars on the idyllic Ocean Avenue of Carmel-by-the-Sea, and The House of Aston Martin, located near Poppy Hills Golf Course, featuring the latest Aston Martin cars, as well as the presences of Aston Martin’s partners, like Bollinger, Bowers & Wilkins, Breitling, Glenfiddich, and Elemis. Celebrating a shared heritage in automotive excellence and sporting triumph, Aston Martin’s presence at this year’s Monterey Car Week is a major one.
