The Bentley Supersports is back, and it’s not just the latest iteration of Bentley’s dialed-in, performance-focused Continental; rather, it’s the most driver-focused Continental GT yet, with rear-wheel drive for the first time, an immensely powerful twin-turbo V8 without hybrid assist, and lightweight construction meant for optimal performance and dynamics.
While the 500-example production run of the new Supersports is already sold out, Bentley is drumming up excitement for its new Supersports with a new film: “Supersports: FULL SEND.” It’s created in collaboration with legendary driver Travis Pastrana, who drives the car around Bentley’s Crewe, England headquarters and factory in a dazzling spectacle. Filmed in the style of the iconic “Gymkhana” videos, of which Pastrana recently released his last, the Crewe campus on Pyms Lane was turned into a “Pymkhana” course.
An exclusive event in Dubai marks the debut of the new Supersports in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region for the manufacturer, and at the event, the modified “FULL SEND” car was driven into the event by Pastrana himself for a crowd of 400 VIP guests, including 100 Supersports customers. The ‘Daybreak’ launch car was also shown at the event, where the “FULL SEND” film premiered for the first time.
The gardens of the former royal palace of Sheikha Sanaa Bint Mana Al Maktoum were open to guests, which are located on the Dubai shoreline, where they could see the Burj Al Arab, which was lit up in Bentley green, specifically for the debut. Ringing in a new era for Bentley performance, the new Supersports' debut in Dubai was a momentous occasion.
