While models including the Ferrari Dino 246 GT have already been lauded as cherished classics, the increased presence of V6 engines in Ferrari’s lineup today cement the V6 Dino’s status as one of the most influential historic models in Ferrari’s heritage, and a highly desirable model for collectors.
Sotheby’s Motorsport is currently featuring this beautiful 1971 Ferrari Dino 246 GT for auction, with bidding ending today. This model features the larger 2.4-liter V6 engine than the original 2.0-liter engine in the 206 GT, making it significantly more powerful, and it’s stiffer and lighter than its predecessor, as well. This specific example was delivered new in Monaco, and was given a bare metal restoration by Italy’s Toni Auto. Original accessories, including the tool kit, books, and keys are included.
