RM Sotheby's Set To Auction Michael Schumacher's 2006 Scu...

A chance to own a piece of F1 history. Throughout Formula 1's illustrious history, more than 777 drivers have graced racing grids worldwide to compete at the highest level of motorsport. Of those who have dedicated their lives to the sport, a few names carry monumental significance among past, present, and future fans of F1. Alongside icons like Ayrton Senna and Niki Lauda, Michael Schumacher established legendary status with a 19-year career that includes a record-setting seven Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles. The 2006 F1 season stands out as Schumacher's most memorable, as it was his last year racing for Scuderia Ferrari F1 before retiring for the first time. To this day, the Schumacher name echoes throughout the halls of the team's HQ in Maranello with trophies, race cars, and other accolades that honor the former German racing driver. Today, the auction professionals at RM Sotheby's are proud to announce the upcoming sale of Michael Schumacher's 2006 Ferrari 248 F1 as part of its event in New York City. The 2006 Ferrari 248 became part of Schumacher’s five incredible Grand Prix wins during his last season with Ferrari, including memorable victories at San Marino, the European Grand Prix, and his final home win in Germany. For Schumacher fans and F1 memorabilia collectors, this is a piece of racing history loaded with achievements and milestones that made Schumacher’s career so legendary. What makes this Ferrari 248 F1 even more special? For starters, it’s the exact car Schumacher drove to break Ayrton Senna’s record for pole positions and achieve his final career pole and win. This example is also Ferrari Classiche certified, meaning it retains all its original, matching parts, just as it was back in 2006. With Scuderia Ferrari's V8 capable of hitting an impressive 20,000 rpm, the 248 chassis represents an era of raw power and peak performance limits in racing that we'll never witness again. Notably, it’s been in private ownership since 2007, meaning it’s preserved some serious Ferrari magic. If you’re a collector or just love the excitement of F1 racing, RM Sotheby's will be auctioning the iconic F1 car on November 14. A rare chance to connect with Schumacher’s legacy, it’s not every day that a car like this comes along. With the anticipation of selling for a jaw-dropping price, stay tuned into duPont REGISTRY for the upcoming auction results of Michael Schumacher's 2006 Ferrari 248 F1 car. Five Cars Bringing the Heat to RM Sotheby’s 2024 Miami Au...

Perhaps the only thing hotter in Miami right now may be the cars on offer at RM Sotheby’s 2024 Miami Auction. The now two-day sale, part of the company’s inaugural car exhibition event, ModaMiami, will see 125 lots cross the block, consisting of everything from desirable blue-chip collectibles, incredibly hot sports cars and hypercars, classics and retro youngtimer vehicles, to boats, a plane, and more. Car connoisseurs and collectors can look to add to their garages at the auction’s Friday and Saturday events, 1-2 March, and plan to see even more remarkable vehicles—over 200 more of them, on Saturday and Sunday, 2-3 March, as part of the ModaMiami automotive exhibition festivities. Miami is its own paradise, but the Miami Auction and ModaMiami event makes for a paradise for the car enthusiast. Here’s just a small taste of what will cross the block in Miami next month. 2010 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport ‘Sang Bleu’ The names Bugatti and Veyron already hold high esteem and admiration in car enthusiast crowds, especially for those interested in fast cars or hypercars. And while the Bugatti Veyron hypercar, in itself, is already a machine incredibly limited in quantity, this particular example, the 2010 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport ‘Sang Bleu’, is the only one that was ever produced. This “one of one” Veyron was built to be a one-off show car for Bugatti, which debuted at Pebble Beach in 2009 for the marque’s 100th anniversary. Built around its 8.0-liter W-16 engine, Bugatti opted to dress this particular Veyron in a unique exterior—the color here is not paint. Rather, it’s made of unfinished materials: specifically carbon fiber treated in royal blue, and the rest in a beautifully polished aluminum. The unique choice of finish was decided to honor Bugatti’s rich French racing history and the French Racing Blue worn by those cars, and thus the ‘Sang Bleu’, translating to “Blue Blood,” was born. See More on the ‘Sang Bleu’ 2018 Bugatti Chiron Another round of Bugatti French Racing Blue, but this time in the form of the just as elusive Chiron model. The Chiron, named for legendary Bugatti works racing driver Louis Chiron, would be the successor to the Veyron, made to be even more impressive, more powerful, and more everything compared to its preceding sibling. The body shape was further refined, and the drivetrain would gain larger two-stage turbochargers and catalytic converters, along with an all-new titanium exhaust system. This new configuration packed a punch of 1,479 horsepower. When mated to an adaptive Haldex all-wheel-drive system and seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle, the Chiron was more a rocket ship, launching from 0 to 60 in 2.4 seconds, and fast enough to have an electronically limited top speed at 261 mph. Learn More about the Chiron 2015 McLaren P1 A new hypercar era dawned in the 2010s, and with it brought a trio of especially spectacular cars that would rule the streets in the modern era. Their names? The Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 Spyder, and the McLaren P1. McLaren’s P1 was McLaren’s answer to raising the benchmark on its sports cars. The P1 was almost otherworldly, built with a monocoque chassis that weighed as little as 200 pounds, all surrounded by carbon fiber panels to keep the car incredibly lightweight. The weight reduction was helpful considering the P1 was powered by a hybrid system consisting of a mid-mounted 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-8, paired with an electric motor that was utilized to torque-fill gaps during shifts or at lower rpms that its combustion engine would experience. In turn, the 717 horsepower engine with the electric motor’s output of 176 horsepower combined for an impressive 893 horsepower output. This example, number 117 of only 350 P1s made, is particularly rare, presenting with only 19 miles on the odometer. Learn More About This Low-Mileage P1 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista Coupe and 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista Spider In a world where the name Ferrari still means something incredibly special, there are few things that can make something that special even more special. But in this instance, this particular pairing is something to behold for car and Ferrari enthusiasts alike: a 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista Coupe optioned through Ferrari’s Tailor Made program, tailor made with a twin in the form of a 488 Pista Spider. The Coupe and Spider “set” are believed to be the only pairing ever designed to match. Both are finished in Rosso Maranello and hand-painted dream lines on the carbon fiber side skirts, rear diffuser, and paddle shifters. Much like the other vehicles featured in this article, you’ll find hordes of power under the hood with the Pista’s 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V-8. Both cars will be offered separately, without reserve, but why split up such a beautiful family? Learn More About the 488 Pista Coupe Learn More About the 488 Pista Spider

1992 Ferrari F40 Being Auctioned At Mecum Kissimmee 2023

Image with size : Presented by Mecum Auctions. 1992 Ferrari F40 Being Auctioned At Mecum Kissimmee 2023 Introduced on July 21, 1987, to a gathering of the world motoring press by Enzo Ferrari himself, the Ferrari F40 was the final supercar commissioned by Il Commendatore before his passing in 1988. The successor to the 288 GTO, it was named to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the great Italian carmaker and has gained in stature in the interim as one of the purest distillations of the Ferrari mystique. No. 179 of a total of 213 built to U.S. market specifications, F40 No. 92189 is a sensational offering wearing iconic Rosso Corsa over a red and gray interior, with an odometer reading of 10,994 miles. The F40’s coachwork was designed by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti employing contemporary Ferrari Formula 1 practice in its construction, which comprised a combination of carbon fiber composites, Kevlar and Nomex, the same materials that form its rigid yet lightweight chassis. The vented Plexiglas backlight showcases the snarling matching-numbers 2936cc DOHC V-8 engine, which packs twin water-cooled IHI turbochargers, air-to-air intercoolers, four valves per cylinder, sequential fuel injection and a Weber-Marelli management system to produce 478 HP at 7,000 RPM and 425 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 through a gated 5-speed gearbox. The all-independent suspension and brakes are likewise F1-bred, using double wishbones with coilover shock absorbers, rack-and-pinion steering, ventilated and cross-drilled rotors, and lightweight aluminum calipers. Pirelli P-Zero Assimetrico tires on factory wheels complete the car’s underpinnings with a major contribution to its incredible handling. A unique feature of this exceptional F40 is its Tubi exhaust system, which was specially tuned for this car; a crated factory exhaust system is included should the future owner wish to return it to original fitment. The car’s in-depth documentation shows an official factory build start date of November 26, 1991. It was completed on January 10, 1992, and reportedly seen on the F40 assembly line by expert Ferrari historian Marcel Massini, who contributed a detailed report to complement the accompanying Ferrari Classiche Red Book. Offered with the original books in a leather case and the all-important tool roll, the car comes with a detailed service history including a no-expense-spared engine and gearbox restoration completed January 26, 2022, by the Ferrari specialists at Evans Automotive in Columbus, Ohio. This vehicle will be offered at MECUM Auctions annual Kissimmee Florida,  The World's Largest Collector Car Auction®, along with almost 4,000 cars and thousands of Road Art items.  Taking place January 4-15, 2023.  View more cars and register to bid online at https://drive.mecum.com/kissimmee-2023.
