Bentley Teases The Torcal’s Craftsmanship
Bentley Motors has over a century of history creating cars that are known for their elegant luxury, robust performance, and captivating design. However, the manufacturer is at a turning point, as its first production BEV is about to be unveiled. Called the Torcal, the new model will be the fourth model line in Bentley’s current portfolio, and it promises to honor decades of Bentley history while also introducing cutting-edge technology and engineering innovation. Meanwhile, the Torcal will feature the craftsmanship that has defined the past 80 years of Bentley, with British suppliers, the same people who are behind the rest of Bentley’s modern lineup, and a purpose-built factory that was created within an original 1938 building. The floor of the factory was made to be precisely level, which is important for the Autonomous Guided Vehicles that will move in-build vehicles throughout the facility. Nearing completion, the production line for the new Torcal is part of a significant self-funded investment of roughly $468 million that Bentley Motors has made towards its future. <- Gallery -> Working on a diverse range of vehicles, from the electric Torcal to the V8-powered Supersports, the same generationally preserved skills are behind elements of both, like hand-stitched leather, authenticity through their engineering, spirited performance, and sumptuous luxury. The Torcal is also the first beneficiary of the Design Studio in Crewe that Bentley Motors opened in 2025, and the car is set to be unveiled on September 23. In less than one week, Bentley is set to open a new chapter in its century-long history with the unveiling of its futuristic production BEV, while remaining true to its proud legacy of Crewe craftsmanship.
