Bugatti Teases a Modern 57 SC Atlantic

Amid all the Geneva previews last week, Bugatti offered a Throwback Thursday. A press release highlighted the significance of the Type 57 SC. Initially offered as a 2-door sedan, 4-door sedan, and a convertible. Something special was reserved for their best customers, and Jean Bugatti decided to shock the world. The Atlantic is one of the rarest and most beautiful cars ever made, but only 4 were ever built. Bugatti teased a modern 57 SC Atlantic on on Facebook last night, so maybe a 5th example is in the works.

There are currently rumors that Ferdinand Piech might have ordered the car for $18,000,000. As the head of VW group, he is also Ferdinand Porsche's Grandson. His Porsche cousins keep a controlling interest in every brand VW owns, and they oversaw his purchase of Bentley, Lamborghini and Bugatti.
