One-off Bugatti Brouillard W16 Makes Its First Public App...

At the Quail this morning, Bugatti took the wraps off its one-of-one Brouillard, a coachbuilt hypercar that combines modern W16 firepower with deeply personal heritage cues. It’s the first public appearance for the bespoke build, which broke cover about 10 days ago after a series of mysterious teasers that we reported on. CEO of Bugatti Rimac, Mate Rimac, was on site to personally present the car to an ecstatic crowd. The Brouillard marks the debut of Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire, a new tier of customization that sits above the brand’s already extreme Sur Mesure offerings. The primary goal is to channel the same spirit of models like the iconic Type 57’s most coveted coachbuilt variants: the Galibier, Stelvio, Ventoux, and Atalante, through the lens of 21st-century engineering. Bugatti says that it will only produce up to two Solitaire cars per year, each built around existing powertrains and chassis, but wrapped in entirely bespoke bodywork and interiors. This stunning green example is named after Ettore Bugatti’s prized white-and-gray thoroughbred. Renowned for its speed and a surprising ability to open its stable door using a mechanism Ettore designed, the equestrian connection runs deep in the Brouillard. Inside, you’ll find embroidered horse motifs, a miniature sculpture of the thoroughbred in the gear selector, and tartan fabrics that contrast with green-tinted carbon fiber, sourced from Paris. The glass roof floods the cabin with light, amplifying the already dramatic cabin. Outside, the Brouillard trades the Chiron’s rounded tail for a much sharper coupé silhouette with a fixed ducktail spoiler, sculpted air intakes, and a sweeping roofline. The overall form is both functional and beautiful, with aerodynamics designed to channel and feed air to the W16’s massive cooling needs. Yes, that legendary Piëch-era W16, which has been doing duty since the days of the Veyron.  Despite Bugatti’s recent Rimac partnership and the debut of its hybrid V16-powered Tourbillon, the Brouillard features the marque’s celebrated 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged 16-cylinder uni, which puts out 1,600 horsepower. This hypercar is part of the last wave of W16-powered Bugattis, sitting alongside other ultra-limited farewell models. The timing is important because Bugatti has entered a new era, merging with Rimac and shifting toward hybrid power. The Tourbillon is already making headlines for its naturally aspirated V16 and electric assistance, but the Brouillard proves that the W16’s final chapter is being written with the same level of passion that has defined the French marque for more than a century. So here’s the question: if Solitaire lets clients dream up exquisite machines like the Brouillard, how far could Bugatti push this idea? No word on the price, but given that this is a one-off, something in the eight figures cannot be ruled out. Having said that, as a proof of concept, the Brouillard shows that in an extremely crowded hypercar market crowded there is still room for a truly personal, coachbuilt creation. Bugatti Unveils New W16 One-Off Brouillard

The new era of Bugatti brings forth its first one-off. Bugatti is known for creating some of the world’s most desirable, expensive, exclusive, and unique hypercars, and having merged with electric hypercar rising star Rimac recently, Bugatti has entered a new era as a brand, retiring its quad-turbocharged W16 engine in favor of a naturally aspirated V16 engine from Cosworth with hybrid technology to reach unprecedented levels of power and performance in its new hypercar model, the Tourbillon. As the Tourbillon emerges and the last W16-powered Bugattis are produced, the exciting transition of Bugatti as a manufacturer is taking shape before our eyes. However, the new era of Bugatti is already proving to be incredibly exciting, with a new one-off model joining the repertoire of futuristic new ultra-exclusive Bugatti creations. That one-off is the new Bugatti Brouillard, a unique masterpiece created by Bugatti’s new and most exclusive “Solitaire” designation, a level beyond even the incredible bespoke craftsmanship capabilities of Bugatti’s Sur Mesure arm. The new coupe pays a beautiful homage to Ettore Bugatti, being named after his own cherished horse who could open his own stable door using a mechanism Ettore Bugatti designed himself. Brouillard had a stunning white coat, and like many of the cars that Bugatti would bring to the automotive world, personified speed, elegance, and grace. Brouillard, and the Programme Solitaire as a whole, is inspired by the practice of coachbuilding which Bugatti was known for and which was much more common in the automotive industry in the early 20th century, creating stunningly unique bodies for vehicles that rendered them one-of-a-kind. Contrary to what has been suggested by the beginning of a new age for Bugatti, the new Brouillard is powered by Bugatti’s legendary quad-turbocharged W16 engine with nearly 1,600 horsepower, being one of the ultra-exclusive models that is helping say goodbye to the cherished powertrain. Its unique bodywork includes a fixed ducktail spoiler, and a silhouette that is informed by principles of classic art. Its interior matches the green exterior, with custom-woven fabric from Paris, green-tinted carbon fiber, and a stunning glass roof bringing together natural light, beautifully embroidered horse motifs, and Bugatti’s performance-oriented opulence. The collector who now owns the Brouillard is a passionate Bugatti enthusiast who not only collects cars but also Carlo Bugatti’s furniture and Rembrandt Bugatti’s art. The official unveiling of the new Bugatti Brouillard will take place during Monterey Car Week, officially kicking off Bugatti’s Solitaire program which promises to only make up to two cars each year. Making use of existing Bugatti powertrains and chassis, Solitaire creations, like the Brouillard, will feature absolutely incredible bespoke bodywork and interior details. How Bugatti Meticulously Packaged The Tourbillon

Bugatti shows how all the Tourbillon’s splendor came together. Automotive engineering is a respectable and challenging feat, thanks to the fact that so many factors are involved. The design of the vehicle not only has to look beautiful, but it also has to possess aerodynamic efficiency. Meanwhile, the interior has to accommodate passengers, technology, and luxury features comfortably, and the mechanical components must be carefully and thoughtfully placed within an extensive set of parameters. In the case of hypercars, all of these factors must be achieved at an even higher level, and manufacturers like Bugatti have the added challenge of paying homage to a rich century of heritage with design cues like its iconic Horseshoe grille. The Bugatti Tourbillon is the latest and perhaps most ambitious example of Bugatti’s ability to do all of these things, and the documentary series from the manufacturer, called “Bugatti: A New Era” has been chronicling the journey that led to its creation. With its bold V16 engine (which is longer and narrower than its W16 predecessor) and hybrid system, meant that Bugatti returned to the drawing board when it came to everything about the Tourbillon’s packaging. Beyond the aesthetic, new solutions have been achieved for the Tourbillon’s design from bumper to bumper, allowing for a vehicle that is able to surpass the unfathomable standards set by the Chiron. With the help of cutting-edge technology and AI, engineers were able to reach an absolutely optimal solution when it comes to optimizing the Tourbillon’s performance, and you can watch the new episode of the documentary series now that shows the challenge that setting new standards for hypercar performance takes for the manufacturer whose Chiron already dominates the hypercar world. Watch CEO Mate Rimac Reveal How The Bugatti Tourbillon’s ...

The Tourbillon marks a radical evolution for French hypercar maker Bugatti. Unveiled in June last year, it is the brand’s first new model under CEO Mate Rimac’s leadership and the first model since, to ditch forced induction. That’s right, no turbos. The quad-turbos seen on the Veyron and Chiron’s 8.0-liter W16 has now made way for a naturally-aspirated V16 hybrid in Bugatti’s latest flagship. In a rare behind-the-scenes video part of the documentary series from Bugatti, ‘A New Era’, Rimac invites viewers into the car’s Validation Prototype (VP) phase, the second major milestone in Bugatti’s three-part development process in Episode 8. Just like the Veyron and Chiron before it, the Tourbillon moves from the Experimental Phase (XP) to (VP) and then eventually to the pre-series production, where everything is locked in. At the heart of the Bugatti Tourbillon lies an all-new 8.3-liter V16 engine developed by Cosworth, which by itself produces 1,000 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. Throw in three electric motors and the Tourbillon has a combined system output of 1,800 horsepower and 1,696 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and a single rear 250 kW electric motor. But operating at 800 volts, the electric motors do more than provide instantaneous torque, as they also generate power, recharge the battery, and serve as the starter motor, eliminating the need for a separate 12-volt starting system. "The electric powertrain, being very high tech, very high performance, is actually enabling this very emotional combustion engine. Where the combustion engine isn’t able to deliver its full power, the electric motor can with the roar of a V16 naturally aspirated engine. This is how electrification should enhance, not compromise, the driving experience." - Mate Rimac, CEO Bugatti-Rimac Upfront, two more electric motors, each with their own gearbox and inverter, live inside a unified housing and offer torque vectoring and all-wheel drive, all while saving space. There’s also the 25 kWh, 800–volt T-shaped oil-cooled battery, embedded into the chassis, packing 1,500 cells, all while keeping the center of gravity low. The Tourbillon offers up to 37 miles (60 kilometers) of all-electric driving range. Despite being a hybrid, the entire powertrain module on the Tourbillon weighs 947 pounds (430 kg), making it lighter than the engine and transmission of the outgoing Chiron. You no longer need the additional plumbing and intercoolers found on the quad-turbo W16. Even the forged aluminium suspension is 3D-printed and 45% lighter than before. Although it packs a longer V16 compared to the old W16, the aforementioned dual front-electric motors, complex cooling system, and the T-Shaped battery, the overall footprint of the Tourbillon has been reduced, with increased luggage space compared to its predecessors, all made possible due to clever packaging. But really, a Bugatti all about big speed, and the company claims a top speed of 277 mph, but the goal will eventually be to outgun the Chiron Super Sport 300+. Bugatti will only build 250 examples of the $4.1 million Tourbillon, with deliveries beginning in 2026. View All Bugattis For Sale " width="680"> Source: Bugatti

Check Out This 1-of-1 $4.7M Bugatti Bolide Finished In Co...

The one-of-a-kind spec just wrapped up production and is on its way to a new home. When Bugatti first revealed the Bolide as its newest track-only hypercar, its sole focus was delivering a professional racing experience for its most beloved clientele. Whereas models like the Veyron and Chiron held the perfect balance between luxury and performance, the Bolide represents Bugatti's raw side and its historic legacy in motorsports. And while additional options and personalization for a stripped-down, track-focused race car are few and far to come by, owners are differentiating themselves from the other 40 examples with head-turning paint jobs. Celebrating the completion of each of its hypercar builds with pride, Bugatti recently shared pre-delivery photos of this jaw-dropping Bolide from its Molsheim factory. Uploaded to Instagram before being shipped to its lucky new owner, this Bolide spec shies away from Bugatti's exposed carbon launch livery with a color combination you'd never expect. Copper and Brown Carbon reimagine the Bolide in a whole new light with contrast that accentuates its aero-focused body, highlighting other areas of the car that would normally be hidden with darker finishes. Components like its massive exposed carbon roof scoop and shark fin rear wing stand out even more with a touch of shimmering copper. No configuration is complete without honoring Bugatti's heritage by incorporating the French flag, which is proudly handpainted on each side splitter. Inside, the cabin of this Bugatti Bolide would have anyone second-guessing it as an everyday road car. It is layered in rich, luxurious light brown leather and exposed brown carbon to match the exterior. Every inch of the interior screams Bugatti craftsmanship, knowing that the driver and passenger will be suited up in race gear every time it moves. The Bugatti Bolide is all about extreme track performance, and at the heart of it lies an 8.0L quad-turbocharged W16 engine that pushes out a mind-blowing 1,578 horsepower. Bugatti claims a top speed well north of 300 mph, and while it's more track monster than grand tourer, the Bolide's acceleration numbers are 0 to 60 mph in under 2.2 seconds. Now in the hands of its new owner, we hope to see this 1-of-1 Bugatti Bolide on a race track in the future. View All Bugatti Hypercars For Sale Source: Bugatti Instagram
