Bugatti Nears The End Of Its Final Testing Phase For The ...

Bugatti moves forward with Mistral testing. Bugatti has always been known for pushing the boundaries of design and performance, and the all-new $5 million W16 Mistral is no exception. The latest modern hypercar represents Bugatti's first open-top model since 2015, featuring the brand's iconic W16 engine in its final and most powerful form. As a farewell for this legendary engine, the W16 Mistral combines expert engineering and aerodynamic finesse to deliver a truly indescribable driving experience, capable of surpassing the 260 mph mark. The thorough testing program for the W16 Mistral highlights Bugatti's relentless pursuit of perfection. From rigorous crash tests guaranteeing passenger safety to dynamic performance evaluations, every inch of Bugatti's new roadster has been scrutinized. The new lightweight monocoque design and sharp aerodynamics set new standards for safety and performance, ensuring the W16 Mistral meets international safety standards across various markets, including North America and Europe. Prototype 2 of the W16 Mistral has already covered 20,000 miles, tackling diverse terrains and conditions. The extensive road testing phase highlights the hypercar's adaptability and durability. With an additional 3,000 miles of track testing planned, Bugatti aims to accumulate 25,000 on this prototype, demonstrating durability that exceeds the demands placed on most modern-day Bugatti customer cars. One of the final and most challenging parts of the testing phase will be verifying the Mistral's top speed. Finding a suitable track to reach over 260 mph safely presents a logistical challenge, but Bugatti remains confident. Emilio Scervo, Chief Engineer, emphasizes that achieving this top speed will be straightforward once access to an appropriate track is secured. As the W16 Mistral nears the end of its testing journey, Bugatti continues to keep the automotive world and its owner updated on the newest hypercar roadster. Production is expected to begin at the Molsheim Atelier later this year, marking the arrival of Bugatti's most aerodynamic and powerful open-top car to date. See Jacob & Co.'s New Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Delivery

Congratulations on your new Bugatti, Jacob! With a partnership that spans more than five years, Jacob & Co. and Bugatti share a similar brand DNA focused on design, performance, and engineering. And while most automotive-inspired watches only aesthetically resemble their counterparts with matching color schemes and branding, Jacob & Co. goes above and beyond by reimagining watches to mimic every inch of the hypercar. After being given the opportunity to configure his very own Bugatti, Jacob & Co. Founder Jacob Arabo has finally taken delivery of his very own Chiron Super Sport thanks to the hypercar professionals at Miller Motorcars of Greenwich, CT. The monumental occasion took place at Bugatti's production facility in Molsheim, where Jacob, his son Benjamin, and Miller Motorcars Sale Manager Even Cygler met to get a first glimpse at one of the best spec'd Chirons ever created. As the official watch partner of Bugatti and a believer in family and heritage, Jacob chose to finish his Chiron Super Sport in Bugatti's historic French Racing Blue. The blue and white color combination derives inspiration from the crashing sea's blue waters and white foam. Color-matched blue sports wheels and carbon ceramic brakes add a monochromatic touch that honors Bugatti's status as a hypercar pioneer. Inside, the Chirons driver-centric cabin presents a vibrant interior design that beautifully resembles the car's exterior. In addition, Bugatti used its bespoke expertise to embroider Jacob & Co. logos onto each headrest lower door panel. The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport showcases an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine that pumps out a staggering 1,577 horsepower. This powerhouse propels the Chiron from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds, with a top speed of 273 mph. Bugatti has fine-tuned every aspect to ensure the Chiron Super Sport delivers an exhilarating yet smooth driving experience. With plans on shipping the hypercar stateside, we cannot wait to see Jacob Arabo's new Bugatti Chiron Super Sport in person. Jacob & Co. Debuts Its New Hypercar-Inspired Bugatti Tour...

With a relationship built on ultra-exclusive watches and multi-million dollar hypercars, Jacob & Co. and Bugatti celebrate hyper horology through a collection of automotive-inspired watches that embody the same design, materials, and technology as their four-wheel counterparts. After honoring the Bugatti Chiron's legacy through a series of Chiron Tourbillon examples, each fitted with a W16 engine movement, Jacob & Co. is proud to help kick off the next era of high-performance hypercars with its all-new Bugatti Tourbillon watch. Limited to just 250 units, the Jacob & Co. Bugatti Tourbillon is the perfect blend of aesthetics, mechanics, and functionality. The first version, crafted in black DLC titanium, is even more exclusive, with only 150 pieces available. Measuring 52 x 44mm with a 15mm thickness, the case features a spear-heading front grille and side radiator inlets, all covered with a laser-etched grid pattern. Large sapphire openings on the sides, shaped and tinted like car windows, offer an up-close view of Jacob & Co.'s intricate JCAM55 movement, comprised of 557 components. The hour and minute hands are retrograde, completing a 270-degree arc before jumping back to zero, just like an rpm gauge. The legendary Bugatti logo is proudly displayed between the jumping hands, adding to the watch's automotive DNA. At the heart of the Bugatti Tourbillon is a miniature V16 engine block, crafted from a single piece of transparent sapphire. The engine block, with its 16 titanium pistons, is driven by a single-axis crankshaft, one of the most complex and delicate parts ever created in modern watchmaking. When activated, the crankshaft spins, and all 16 cylinders move up and down, mimicking a real internal combustion engine. This remarkable automaton sequence, complete with its own set of exhaust manifolds, lasts for 20 seconds. The Jacob & Co. Bugatti Tourbillon is a marvel of engineering and a true collector's item for those with an open order for Bugatti's new Tourbillon hypercar. Cosworth Unveils Its Most Powerful Hypercar Engine Yet Wi...

Cosworth has once again redefined automotive excellence with the launch of its most powerful hypercar engine to date, unveiled alongside the Bugatti Tourbillon on June 20. This marks a significant milestone for both industry leaders, as the Tourbillon joins an elite group of Cosworth-powered hypercars, such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie and the Gordon Murray T.50. The collaboration between Bugatti and Cosworth began in 2021 with a vision to develop a high-capacity, high-revving V16 engine, an accomplishment not seen since the 1930s. The Bugatti Tourbillon's naturally aspirated V16 engine, first teased in early 2024, has been under wraps until now. Cosworth reveals that its 8.35-liter powerhouse can reach up to 9000rpm. The engine's construction involved ingenious techniques, including a cross-plane crank design and a dry sump to optimize performance and weight. Remarkably, the engine weighs just 555 lbs, lighter than the Aston Martin Valkyrie's V12, thanks to the use of titanium connecting rods and carbon fiber inlets. It's an engineering marvel that showcases Cosworth's dedication to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in hypercar performance. Bruce Wood, Cosworth's Managing Director of Powertrain, expressed his excitement over the V16's performance and unbelievably unique sound. The Bugatti Tourbillon's hybrid powertrain, combined with Cosworth's cutting-edge design, promises to deliver an exceptional driving experience for those lucky enough to have secured an allocation. Cosworth's CEO, Dr. Florian Kamelger, highlighted the company's commitment to innovation, heritage, and strict emissions standards, highlighting this partnership with Bugatti as an example of the brand's world-class capabilities. As the Bugatti Tourbillon hits the roads, it stands as a beacon of automotive engineering, representing the pinnacle of what Cosworth and Bugatti can achieve together.
