Defender Announces New Design Updates

Defender’s expanding lineup continues to evolve.

One of the most venerated and storied names in the world of off-roading, Defender ha sa lineup of some of the most capable SUVs on the market, which has recently expanded in a meaning ful way with the introduction of the new Defender OCTA, a performance-oriented variant of the Defender that is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 producing a respectable 626 horsepower. With the OCTA serving as the basis for Defender’s upcoming Dakar Rally racing effort, the modern Defender lineup is experiencing a peak of ubiquity and versatility.

This year, the lineup for the Defender has been upgraded throughout to continue the evolution of one of the world’s favorite SUV nameplates, including revised design, new exterior colors, updated infotainment, technology and features, and more.

After more than five years has passed since the introduction of the revived, modern Defender, the brand has expanded to include three body styles, the 90, 110, and 130, all of which, including the OCTA, have been updated for the upcoming model year. Throughout the lineup, the headlight design has been revised with signature details and fog lighting coming as standard, Woolstone Green and Borasco Grey have been introduced as new colors, a larger 13.1-inch touchscreen enhances the infotainment experience, and Adaptive Off‑Road Cruise Control is now available as an option for greater off-road ease and comfort.

The high-performance Defender OCTA is now available with a new Sargasso Blue exterior color, as well as a Patagonia White Matte Wrap and Textured Graphite accents. New features, finishes, wheels, accessories, and more help contribute to the continually growing legacy of the celebrated and highly capable Defender lineup.
