You Can Buy the DeLorean Hovercraft Right Now

Matt Riese had a dream of creating a DeLorean DMC-12 Hovercraft. This dream was realized after years of designing, construction, testing and even a Kickstarter campaign. He debuted the hovercraft by driving it across the McCovey Cove in San Francisco, California during the start of the Giants' playoff run in 2012. The best part about the debut is that he held up a sign that read: "I'm back from the future. Spoiler alert. The Giants win it all." Guess who won the World Series that year? The Giants.  Now, six years after the hovering DeLorean made its debut, Riese is parting ways with his beloved hovercraft. It's currently listed on eBay with a "Buy It Now" price of $45,000. For that price, you're getting a working hovercraft that looks just like one of the most iconic American automobiles ever created. He notes that who ever buys the hovercraft will also have direct phone access to him in case the new owner is in need of technical assistance. Check out the video below to see the hovercraft in action for yourself! You can also learn more about the hovercraft by visiting DeLoreanHovercraft.com. Man Hits 88 MPH in His DeLorean: Gets Ticket Instead of T...

In Essex, England, speeding in a DeLorean won't take you though the space-time continuum, unfortunately. DeLorean owner, Nigel Mills, an Essex resident found this out over the weekend as he was clocked going 18 mph over the speed limit, according to British news outlet, The Guardian.Mills, a Back to the Future fan, purchased his DeLorean a while back and likes to take the car out for a ride a couple of times a year, and this time, the clear Sunday roadways had him wanting to step on the gas a bit. At 88 mph, Mills was going well over the posted speed limit, but he told The Guardian he just wanted to take his vehicle out for a "run around."(Related - Prank: Daughter's Hilarious Reaction To Parents Buying DeLorean)Luckily for him, the magistrates responsible for pulling him over didn't show up to court so his ticket was thrown out. Maybe next time, that magic 88 MPH will take him to another time and place rather than the court room.DeLorean for Sale Related Video

This is what being an automotive enthusiast is all about: pure joy when meeting one of your dreams cars. Two parents decided they would go out and buy themselves one of the most iconic automobiles ever featured on the big screen, the DeLorean DMC-12. This was the car that took Marty McFly and Doc Brown back into the future in the famous "Back to the Future" movie. While this model was really the only thing to come from DeLorean Motor Company, even though a revival is underway, it has become an icon in the automotive world.(Also Check Out: Hypercar Prank: Picking Up Uber Riders In A Bugatti Veyron)Instead of telling their daughter they had purchased the car, they decided to play a little prank on her. The father and daughter decided to take pictures with the car, and the whole time the girl had not known the dad had just purchased the car that very day. After some pictures, the dad "accidentally" opens the door and starts up the car. The girl's reactions is absolutely priceless. Her face was filled with joy and astonishment as she realized it was the family's car and immediately plopped down into the driver's seat. Her reaction is one of the reasons why I love being in this industry, as it always makes my day when I see pure joy that was created by cars.
