Cars & Coffee Palm Beach March 2020 Recap

Sponsored by Cars and Coffee Palm Beach - Cars & Coffee Palm Beach March Edition at Palm Beach Outlets welcomed special co-host Michelin USA and their featured guests to the Showcase Area. The event is the world's largest cars and coffee event with thousands of display vehicles, tens of thousands of spectators, vendors, stores, giveaways, free coffee courtesy of Blackout Coffee Co., and something for everyone. The monthly celebration is presented by Adam's Polishes with support from Off Lease Only and Powersports of Palm Beach. Highlights included: 1. An impressive Ferrari Dino from the renowned Larry Wilson Collection headlined the east side of the Michelin Showcase. (Photo courtesy of John Zeilinga) 2. GEAR Racing Team's #19 IMSA Lamborghini turned a lot of heads in the Michelin Showcase Area. Since the event's date of Mar 8 was International Women's Day, the team was an extremely appropriate addition as GEAR stands for "Girl Empowerment Around Racing." (Photo by Keith Chisholm) 3. A 1954 Maserati A6GCS Spider, also part of the Larry Wilson Collection, helped demonstrate the diversity of the Michelin line and the amazing array of vehicles that the Wilson Collection has secured, restored, and maintains.  (Photo by Mike Melnick)  4. Race Car Driver Tristan Nunez, of IMSA's #77 Mazda RT24-P DPI, was on hand to meet fans, sign autographs, talk tires and, of course, browse the latest issue of duPont REGISTRY. Elo, owner of Miami Supercar Rooms, was back by popular demand in the Michelin Feature Area with his one-of-a-kind 1968 Lamborghini Espada Rat Rod. He took a few moments to explain the build by Danton Art Kustoms and all of the hard work and creativity that went into designing the 6-7 figure gem.  (Photo by Black & Yellow Photos)  7. iHeart Radio's popular on-air personality Carmine, from Wild 95.5, made sure showgoers in the Michelin area found their groove. He also found some favorite articles in the latest issue of duPont REGISTRY.  (Photo by Rohan Jackson)   8. At least 8 Ford GTs graced the show field, including a black second generation GT with the Tire Kingdom/Michelin tents.  (Photo by Keith Chisholm)  9. 2020 Cinema Series Shelby Cobra Heading to Barrett-Jackso...

Bigger isn't always better. Having driven small and big-block versions of the iconic Shelby Cobra, I prefer the light & nimble 289 small block. Sure the 427 is a mean machine, but it is a handful in the corners. That's why we're thankful the 289 is poised to return. In the latest press release from Barrett-Jackson, we learned the 2020 Cinema Series Shelby Cobra will be unveiled at their Palm Beach auction. This limited run of continuation Cobras will start with CSX8198. It will be offered at no reserve and as a fitting tribute to Ken Miles. As seen in "Ford vs Ferrari", the car will include a cracked windshield along with the wrench used to crack it. Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach on duPont Registry Directory A modern aluminum 289 block is stroked to 331 cubic inches to offer 450 horsepower through a 5-speed Tremec transmission. Click the button below to find a Cobra for yourself and we'll see you at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach April 16-18. 2020 New York Auto Show Rescheduled Over Coronavirus Conc...

We knew it would happen, but the news is officially here: the 2020 New York International Auto Show has been rescheduled. This news comes to us from the event's website where a letter was published. The event will now be held August 28 – September 6, 2020 with press days happening August 26 & 27, 2020. “We are taking this extraordinary step to help protect our attendees, exhibitors and all participants from the coronavirus,” said Mark Schienberg, president of the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association, the organization that owns and operates the New York Auto Show. “For 120 years, ‘the show must go on’ has been heavily embedded in our DNA, and while the decision to move the show dates didn’t come easy, our top priority remains with the health and well-being of all those involved in this historic event. We have already been in communication with many of our exhibitors and partners and are confident that the new dates for the 2020 Show will make for another successful event.” Featured Image via Facebook

2020 Amelia Island Concours Recap

Timing makes all the difference. Bill Warner and his team started a small car show 25 years ago, and a majority of them have fell victim to Florida's erratic weather. It appears as if the curse has been lifted, as we enjoyed perfect weather. With so much to see and do during the weekend, we figured you would like to see a 2020 Amelia Island Concours recap. As a native of Amelia Island, I attended the first show at age 10. Since then, it has attracted several auctions, private unveilings, and a Porsche Werks Reunion. Our focus was on saturating the attendees with our latest issue. For complete coverage, we took the high ground of the 1st fairway. The MotorXpo was the entrance and exit for Saturday's Cars & Coffee show. As the public got a preview of the show field, Roger Penske was giving a seminar on his early racing years. As always, we could not attend this show without the support of our clients. That is why our friends at Specialty Vehicle Engineering stole the show by awakening a new 2020 Yenko 1000 Camaro. It was parked next to their 455 horsepower Syclone truck. A freshly restored 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha from Hummer1.com towered over a Vanderhall Venice. Next to them was a 2018 Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet from World Imports (Lotus of Jacksonville). Luxury Lease Partners offered 0% interest to drive the world's best cars, and Airstream arrived in the all-new 2020 Interstate. After wowing the crowds, we awoke Sunday after losing an hour to Daylight Saving Time. Each one of us had a mission to cover the show's themed presentations. GM brought every mid-engine Corvette prototype to inspire a new generation of owners. McLaren unveiled the 765LT and took our breath away. Iconic Team Penske cars were shown in public for the first time in years. Lotus unveiled the Evija while the De Tomaso P72 roared with Ford ferocity. Apollo's latest IE looked into the future, much like Harley Earl's concepts did for the Greatest Generation. Tell us which car you want to see in person and stay with us for more amazing events. Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch, FL – This past weekend, Exotic Car Lovers from around the greater Sarasota area came together to celebrate fine food and exotic automobiles at the Sarasota Ferrari Drivers Group ‘Driving for the Dream’ Gala weekend. Attendees enjoyed a gala dinner and lively silent and live auctions at GROVE restaurant on Friday evening. Then on Saturday morning, some 150 cars flooded into downtown Lakewood Ranch for the group’s fourth annual Exotic Car Show in support of ‘Flight to the North Pole.’ Main Street overflowed with exotic autos from such marques as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren, Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Bentley, Lotus, and Audi. There was also a special Classic Car section featuring vintage British and American cars. The weekend closed with an exhibitors’ drive on Sunday morning, followed by brunch at The Capital Grille. Just remember before getting the car of your dreams to go to https://www.anewdriver.ie/ and get driving lessons to be more prepared when you get your license and avoid any accidents out there. “It was a fantastic weekend,” said co-organizer Joe Brielmann. “The Gala dinner was a big success and the array of exotics on display Saturday was outstanding—the weather was beautiful, and we had great attendance at the show. All the weekend’s proceeds go to support ‘Flight to the North Pole,’ and this year I’m proud to say we exceeded last year’s total.”  The Ferrari Drivers Group is very grateful to its 2020 sponsors for their support, including Platinum Sponsor Ferrari of Tampa Bay; Diamond Sponsor Lamborghini Sarasota, Hagerty Insurance and Sage Auto Studios; Gold Sponsor Suncoast Porsche; Dimmitt Automotive Group and Media Sponsors Sarasota Scene and iHeartMEDIA/WSRZ107.9 Stay with us for all your Ferrari events, and we'll see you at the Amelia Island Concours. Geneva Motor Show Cancelled Due to Coronavirus Fears

Yesterday we heard rumors of Asian automakers planning a limited appearance at this year's biggest car show. It is now far worse than we suspected, as Reuters just reported that the 2020 Geneva Motor Show has been canceled over Coronavirus fears. Last year we saw the unveiling of the Bugatti La Voiture Noir and the Koenigsegg Jesko, so we can only guess what we won't see this year. "We regret this situation, but the health of all participants is our and our exhibitors' top priority. This is a case of force majeure and a tremendous loss for the manufacturers who have invested massively in their presence in Geneva. However, we are convinced that they will understand this decision," said Maurice Turrettini, Chairman of the Foundation Board. Browse Sports Cars For Sale Video (C) SellerieCimes

duPont REGISTRY Cars & Coffee February 2020

Call it a Polar Vortex, cold snap, or lack of warmth, Saturday was a cold morning. Nevertheless, our faithful fans enjoyed the extra power offered by the cold & dense air. It was the first time we have seen a new Ferrari R8 Tributo in person, and it does not disappoint. A new ICON A5 Amphibious plane arrived on a trailer, and it is a marvel of modern aeronautical design. Two pristine deTomaso Panteras were parked across from an original Hurst GTO, and our west lot was filled with new & old domestic power. The east side was filled with air-cooled Porsches of all ages, a pristine Jaguar E-type, and several Ferrari 488 coupes & Spiders. With two commercial coffee pots running wide open, we reached a new record of 14 gallons between 6 and 8:30 A.M. We couldn't do this without our sponsors, so here's to all our friends at: Paddock1.com The Auto Den Ferrari of Tampa Bay European Exotic Center Dimmitt Luxury Cars ICON Aviation St. Petersburg Grand Prix We'll see you all next month Peter O.
