Wrecked and Repaired Ferrari Enzo Sells For High Price

The legend is that Bo Stefan Eriksson crashed his Ferrari Enzo back in 2006, leaving the car pretty damaged. Luckily, the car was not damaged beyond repair and the wizards at Ferrari Technical Assistance Service brought the car back to life.Their team, after repairing the car to the point of Ferrari Classiche certification, added quite a few modern features on top of its new Nero Daytona Finish. These included: Satellite Navigation Bose Stereo System Reversing Camera Power Windows Rear Spoiler with “Enzo Script” Now, if you don't think a repaired Enzo like this wouldn't be worth a lot, you'd be sorely mistaken.RM Sotheby's had this Enzo, chassis 135564, cross their block at their Paris event this week and it went for an astounding €1,568,000, which translates to roughly $1,745,000 USD at the current exchange rate of publication. $1.6 Million Offered for Impounded Ferrari Enzo, Can't Ac...

Imagine having $1.6 million to throw down on a Ferrari Enzo-- which happens to just be sitting on an impound lot, collecting dust-- and being told no. This scenario isn't just hypothetical. It actually happened to one bidder looking to secure the famed car from a Dubai impound lot.Dubai is known for its high number of exotics, many of which somehow end up in similar predicaments. The impound lots usually auction off the cars, but this particular supercar is the subject of an ongoing Interpol investigation. Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of Traffic Department at Dubai Police told 7DAYS, a Dubai-based news station, Source: Luxury4Play.com“The car remains in limbo as there is a legal dispute about it. Recently an American man, who is interested in buying rare cars, offered us Dhs6 million for it, but we can’t do anything with it for the moment.”Luckily, the lot will remove the car from the blistering, Dubai sun and store it in a warehouse instead. Hopefully, someone will sort this all out so this beauty can get back on the road!Ferrari Enzo For Sale

Ferrari's California T Showcased in "Deserto Rosso"

The Middle East has created much buzz for Ferrari as many of the Prancing Horse's cars have been selling in the area. Their latest video showcases the beautiful Liwa Oasis (and the Ferrari California T), an area amidst the vast deserts of the Middle East-- likely an intentional display of gratitude for the area's dedication to the brand. In the video called "Deserto Rosso", which is Italian for Red Desert, Ferrari's California T is depicted in the brand's signature red color, flanked by an additional California T in a more modest midnight blue finish. The two elegant vehicles glide through the Run' al Khali, also known as the "Empty Quarter" as the day fades into night. The California T shifted from a natural aspiration to turbocharging just a couple of years ago, and the newly released Handling Speciale Package is now available. We look forward to the official showcasing at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Check out "Deserto Rosso" by clicking play below. Ferrari California T For Sale

2016 Ferrari FXX K: Price, Specs, Review and Photos

2016 Ferrari FXX K Specs Price: $2.7 million (est) Engine: 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 Horsepower: 1035 hp 0–62: TBD Top Speed: TBD Transmission: 7-speed dual-clutch automatic Torque: 664 lb-ft ReviewFerrari closed out 2014 with a bang, introducing us to the successor to the Italian powerhouse’s famed FXX model: the Ferrari FXX K. Unveiled in December 2014, the FXX K is an “uncompromised” rendition of the hybrid LaFerrari, with the name’s ‘K’ derived from the kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) the car employs. While the LaFerrari and the new FXX K utilize the same system, speed is the major factor separating the two. The FXX K produces 1,035 horsepower and more than 664 pound-feet of torque, an 85 horsepower increase over the LaFerrari. This is no doubt due to the new features, including updated camshafts, a modified valve train, redesigned intake mani-folds and a modified exhaust system sans silencers for an aggressive audible growl. ...the FXX K is an “uncompromised” rendition of the hybrid LaFerrari, with the name’s ‘K’ derived from the kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) the car employs There are several other noticeable modifications to the FXX K, the most apparent being the twin-profile rear spoiler. Collectively with the mobile spoiler and new front splitter, these additions generate a 50 percent improvement in downforce in low drag configuration and an additional 30 percent increase in the more aggressive downforce configuration.Ferrari has also added four settings the driver can choose from to better control the car’s performance and KERS. Each setting creates a different result; the Qualify setting allows for maximum performance with limited driving time, the Long Run setting creates a more consistent performance output, the Manual Boost setting instantly boosts torque delivery and the Fast Charge setting recharges the car’s battery in a flash.Ferraris For Sale Buy Your Issue Now

Now, I get to inform you of the auction's star of the night: a 1956 Ferrari 290 MM, built for Formula One driver Juan Manuel Fangio. After a spirited auction, the hammer down with a final bid of $28 million. According to RM Sotheby's Facebook post regarding this lot, the crowd reacted to the final bid with applause. What's more, the pre-auction estimate for the car was $28 million - spot on. Needless to say, their experts at RM Sotheby's know how to value their lots. This exact 290 MM was chassis #0626 and was one of four examples ever built. It was purchased by Temple Buell in New York in the spring of 1957. Buell then sold the car in 1958, and it continued to be raced up until 1964. After being owned by world-renowned Ferrari collector Pierre Bardinon for 34 years, it was then passed to a new owner, who had the car regularly maintained for 12 years. Now, the famed 290 MM is in the hands of a new owner and we wish them a fruitful ownership.Gallery (Source: RM Sotheby's)

Ferrari 288 GTO vs F40 vs F50 vs Enzo vs LaFerrari: Part 1

One of the perks of our job is to watch a ton of car videos in order to provide you with the best content on the internet. That being said, Alejandro Salomon has raised the bar for supercar footage, starting with his "Hyper 5" series and now with the "Ferrari's Big 5" series. In this series, he and his team pit the Italian company's big five cars against each other: the 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari. After a thorough series of legal disclaimers, the evolution of the modern Ferrari is shown in exquisite detail, as this video was meant to serve as an introduction to what's to come. You see, this is only part one of a new three-part series, and we can barely wait for the next installment. We’re not sure how he was able to gather these cars together in one place because this is the automotive equivalent of dividing by zero. Either way, we should all be thankful that he created this series.Check out the first video below and stay with us for Part 2. And, if you want, pick your favorite and put it in the comments below.Ferrari For Sale (Source: Ferrari)

Koenigsegg CCR Evo vs. Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano in Rolling...

Which can take on the track more deftly than the other, a supercar from a boutique Swedish manufacturer or a production beast from one of Italy's most storied marques? After a rolling start, your guess is as good as mine. The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is a beautiful creation from Italy, capable of a 0-62 mph sprint in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph. Ferrari's famous V12 is housed under the hood, creating an aggressive 620 hp for drivers to play with. Its dry weight is just 3,482 pounds, and which moves quickly with 448 lb-ft of torque on tap.As for the Koenigsegg CCR Evolution, a run from 0 to 62 mph will take just 3.2 seconds. As an upgraded version of the CCR's 4.7-liter V8, the CCR Evo was tuned to create 891 bhp and 750 lb-ft of torque, all with a dry weight of 3,086 pounds. From a comparison of the numbers, one might deduce who the winner could be, but it's always important to remember the driver's abilities when making such a call. Luckily for us, we don't have to just wonder; GTBoard.com shared a video to YouTube Nov. 11 of these two taking each other on from a rolling start in two races.Check out the comparison below, then find yourself a Koenigsegg or Ferrari from our exclusive listings.Koenigseggs For Sale  599 GTB Fioranos For Sale (via YouTube) See More Koenigsegg News
