Is Ferrari Testing a New F80XX Hypercar?

Since its start, with Enzo behind the wheel, Ferrari has always envisioned its cars with purpose and true intent in mind, whether it be an expertly engineered endurance car for the track or a luxurious grand tourer for countryside cruises. It’s that constant connection between both worlds that has helped give the Maranello marque its reputation and recognition, while also creating opportunities to bridge the gap through exceptional supercars and hypercars like the Ferrari F80. And while most of us are still enjoying the first moments of the F80, with production and deliveries in motion, it seems as though Ferrari is already finding ways to evolve its golden child. Circulating around the automotive world are spyshots and video of what looks to be a possible Ferrari F80XX prototype, originally captured by a Reddit user (@Signal-Duck3305) and shared by one of our favorite automotive content creators, Varryx. With its Le Mans-winning 499P-derived twin-turbo V6, the Ferrari F80 is already a race-bred, road-legal hypercar, leaving you to wonder just how much further its engineers can push it before crossing into full-blown race car territory. From the on-track spy shots, the most noticeable upgrade, left completely uncovered by OEM camouflage, is a massive fixed carbon-fiber rear wing. The F80 prototype is undoubtedly logging laps in Portimao as part of its ongoing testing and development, so it may be some time before Ferrari officially confirms exactly what we’re looking at. But if this does turn out to be the new Ferrari F80XX, it would become the second XX model, alongside the SF90XX, to bring the brand’s coveted XX Programme from the track to the road. As we continue to keep our eyes and ears open for more information on this mysterious F80, stay tuned into duPont REGISTRY for all the latest news. Why the Ferrari 599 Is Becoming a Modern Collector Favorite

The Ferrari 599 series sits in a very specific moment in Maranello’s history, when the front-engined V12 grand tourer was still a flagship shift instead of today’s nostalgic throwback. Introduced in 2006 with the 599 GTB Fiorano, it succeeded the 575M Maranello and immediately reset expectations for what a front-engine Ferrari could deliver. It was a grand tourer engineered with the kind of performance and precision usually reserved for mid-engine supercars, wrapped in an elongated body that carried long-distance comfort at its core.Designed by Pininfarina in collaboration with Ferrari’s own styling team, the 599 GTB balances between a casual, spirited driver and a track monster, which still holds up today. The long hood and short rear deck preserve the classic Ferrari proportions, but it’s far more advanced than its predecessor. Massive side intakes, an aero-focused underbody, and an integrated rear spoiler all served a functional role at high speed. Inside, it maintained Ferrari’s GT philosophy, with a comfortable cabin trimmed in leather, aluminum, and optional carbon fiber, all centered around a driver-focused layout well suited for cross-country driving.Underneath, the 599 GTB is powered by a 6.0L naturally aspirated V12 derived from the Enzo, producing 612 horsepower and a character that defined Ferrari’s late-2000s era. Power is managed through either a now highly sought-after six-speed manual or the F1-style automatic gearbox before the dual-clutch era fully took over. An aluminum spaceframe chassis kept weight relatively light while offering the rigidity for track conditions, giving the 599 a dual personality that could cover miles and still deliver genuine supercar lap times when unleashed. As the platform evolved, Ferrari began to sharpen the series. The 599 HGTE (Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione) package was the first step, introducing stiffer suspension, revised tuning, and a sharper chassis. It didn’t change the personality of the car entirely, but it added precision that made the GTB feel more confident on demanding roads. Then came one of the most significant models of the era, the 599 GTO. Limited to 599 cars, it took inspiration from the exclusive 599XX track program and turned it into something far more extreme. With 661 horsepower, reduced weight, sharper aero, and transmission tuning, the GTO became the most focused expression of the 599 and a modern version of Ferrari’s historic GTO badge.Along with these special editions, Ferrari also produced several one-off and coachbuilt chassis that pushed the 599 platform further into collector territory. The 599 SA Aperta, limited to just 80 examples, reimagined the car as a front-engined V12 roadster with a shortened windshield, created to celebrate Pininfarina’s 80th anniversary. There were also bespoke commissions such as the 599 GTB China Edition, along with various Tailor-Made examples through Ferrari’s personalization programs, each adding another level of rarity to an already limited-production model line. The Ferrari 599 series shapes itself as one of the final evolutions of Ferrari’s traditional front-engine V12 GT formula before modern electronics, dual-clutch gearboxes, and hybridization found their way into production. From the standard GTB to the HGTE, GTO, and SA Aperta, the 599 defines one of the last great analog-feeling grand tourer eras from Maranello. David Lee’s Ferrari 250 GTO 'Bianco Speciale' Wins the Tony Hulman Trophy at Pebble Beach

Renowned California-based Ferrari collector David Lee’s 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO ‘Bianco Speciale’ received the Tony Hulman Trophy for 'the most significant race car present' at the 2026 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance during Monterey Car Week. Chassis 3729GT is one of just 36 Ferrari 250 GTOs produced between 1962 and 1964, and the only example Ferrari finished in white at the factory. The competition-bred car’soriginal owner, British privateer team principal John Coombs, commissioned the Bianco Speciale paintwork instead of Ferrari’s traditional racing red.   View this post on Instagram A post shared by Commissioner David Lee I Ferrari Ambassador (@ferraricollector_davidlee)   The Tony Hulman Trophy traces its origins to a 1993 donation by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Foundation. It honors longtime Indianapolis Motor Speedway owner Tony Hulman, whose ceremonial starting command became synonymous with the Indianapolis 500. The trophy was among several special awards presented at the 75th Pebble Beach Concours, which featured 218 cars from 14 countries and 30 U.S. states. Best of Show went to a 1935 Duesenberg SSJ Special Speedster once owned by Clark Gable and presented by collector Harry Yeaggy. Lee’s collection spans Ferrari road cars, limited-production models and competition machinery. He owns Ferrari’s five modern halo cars in both red and yellow: the 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari. He calls the two sets his “Ketchup and Mustard Collection.” The white GTO now marks the start of what Lee has called his “Mayo Collection.”  Lee acquired chassis 3729GT for $38.5 million at Mecum Kissimmee back in January, setting a new auction record for Mecum. As noted on Petrolicious, that sale reinforced the 250 GTO’s position in the eight-figure collector-car market. Bianco Speciale held fifth place on our list of the most expensive cars sold at auction until this past weekend, when Carroll Shelby’s former Daytona Coupe sold for $42.9 million at Gooding Christie’s Pebble Beach auction during Monterey Car Week 2026. The sale not only made it the most expensive American car ever sold at auction, but also the highest-priced collector car sold at auction in 2026.  In case you missed how the Bianco Speciale changed hands, the video below features Lee, Mecum Auctions founder Dana Mecum and Kevin Cohen, President of Beverly Hills Motoring, discussing how the $38.5 million deal came together. Ferrari Unveils The New One-Off CZ26

Ferrari boasts a lineup that includes some of the world’s most exclusive supercars and performance cars, but there are several levels of exclusivity and rarity within Ferrari’s lineup, as well. At the top is Ferrari’s Special Projects program, where the most discerning Ferrari clients get the opportunity to work with the Ferrari Design Studio to execute a truly unique vision. The latest creation from the Special Projects Program is the CZ26, which builds on the basis of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale to become something truly special. The new Ferrari CZ26 retains all of the performance and technical specs of the SF90 Stradale, but transforms the hybrid supercar with a new design. Ferrari designed the CZ26 to have a “horizontal” design, with a two-box silhouette enhanced by prominent wheel arches. The car features a decidedly clean, minimalistic aesthetic and ‘70s Italian design influence throughout, and its unique body also features specific lighting elements, grilles, and more. Black trim on the roof and pillars visually separates the cockpit from the lower half of the body, which is finished in the exclusive Argento Veloce shade. The silver paint color features a liquid effect that enhances the car’s minimalistic yet flowing silhouette. Details in Rosso Lampante help highlight specific elements and add visual interest. Meanwhile, the wheels of the CZ26 are unique, as well, and natural-finish titanium tailpipes also contribute to the unique aesthetic. <- Gallery -> Black technical fabric is used for the interior upholstery, with inserts in the seats in a color that was designed specifically for the CZ26. Rosso Lampante also provides accents in the interior, creating a cohesive color story inside and out. Satin carbon fiber and gloss carbon fiber come together to provide contrast and a truly bespoke detail, with the gloss carbon fiber having metallic fibers woven into it. An already spectacular supercar powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine with a plug-in hybrid system that powers all four wheels, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale was the perfect basis for Ferrari’s latest Special Projects one-off, the new CZ26, which was unveiled as a new take on Ferrari’s mid-engined berlinetta supercar and created specifically for a United States-based client. Ferrari’s Naturally-Aspirated V8 Era Is Officially Becoming Collector Gold

Ferrari 360 Modena The market for collector cars has exploded over the last decade. From analog Porsche 911s and gated Lamborghinis to low-production homologation supercars, enthusiasts and collectors are chasing the cars that deliver something increasingly rare in the today's automotive world, character. And as the industry rapidly shifts toward downsized turbocharged engines and hybrid-assisted powertrains, a new generation of Ferrari models has quickly skyrocketed in popularity and value, becoming some of the most desirable modern classics on the market. Ferrari F430 16M Ferrari’s naturally-aspirated mid-engine V8 era, including the Ferrari 360, F430, and 458 generations,  represents what many enthusiasts now consider the sweet spot between analog emotion and modern usability. These cars weren’t just expensive Italian supercars built as eye candy or for city cruising. They were deeply rooted in motorsport, inspired heavily by Ferrari’s Challenge racing programs and Formula 1 development. Limited-production variants like the 360 Challenge Stradale, F430 Scuderia, and 458 Speciale symbolized the lost art of homologation, taking race-inspired engineering and reimagining it into road-going collector cars that are still exciting to drive decades later. Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta Today, these Ferraris are experiencing a resurgence unlike ever seen before, and some people are starting to kick themselves for not buying them sooner before the market took off. Collectors are falling back in love with naturally-aspirated engines, lightweight chassis, and the kind of driving experience that’s raw, connected, and requires full attention, something a lot of today’s turbocharged supercars struggle to replicate. From the gated manual feel of the 360 Modena and the race-inspired edge of the F430 Scuderia to the screaming 9,000-RPM magic of the 458 Speciale, every one of these Ferraris represents a special moment in time before hybrid powertrains and electrification started changing the supercar world for good. This Ferrari Enzo Is Driving 3,200 Miles To Monterey Car Week For A Cause

Of all the cars I've admired and dreamed of owning, since flipping through the pages of a duPont REGISTRY as an 11-year-old kid, the Ferrari Enzo has and will always hold the number one spot. Looking back, it's probably the car that started it all for me. That story rings true for many other enthusiasts, and with the current Enzo market soaring like never before, the early-2000s Ferrari we’ve all grown to love has crossed over into the eight-figure, collector-car category. And while some owners are hanging up the keys to protect their investment, others like Barry Lundgren (@sharetheenzo) are enjoying them just as Enzo himself would’ve wanted, racking up miles and making memories behind the wheel. An incredible follow on Instagram, Larry’s page is dedicated to the encounters and experiences sparked by the Enzo, which has now covered more than 36,000 miles across the U.S. Its presence alone attracts the attention of everyone, from the avid enthusiast who could list off every single spec to an everyday driver just curious about what they’re looking at. No stranger to road tripping one of Ferrari’s Big Five, Larry and Julien Lundgren have set off on an epic journey to join Luxury Rally Club’s Rally To Monterey Car Week, driving coast to coast to raise money for the Cam Neely Foundation. The Cam Neely Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports cancer treatment and research efforts while providing a convenient, comfortable place to live, relax, and talk to others while undergoing treatment at Tufts Medical Center. Before setting off on its 3,200-mile journey from Boston, Massachusetts, to Los Angeles, California, a drive that takes more than 55 hours, the Enzo stopped by Addictive Autosport in Walpole for a quick color change. Members of the AA team worked for 32 hours straight to completely wrap and transform its Rosso Corsa exterior into something that resembles Argento Nürburgring. Now, more than halfway through the trip, Larry and Julien have already ventured out of the East Coast, through the Midwest, and are within a half day of driving left to their destination, already surpassing $14,000 in donations on GoFundMe. Along the way, those who have stopped to see the Enzo, have been asked to sign the wrap, hoping to cover every surface with names by the end of Car Week.If you’re looking to stay updated with where the Enzo is, follow @sharetheenzo on Instagram, with more to come once they arrive at Monterey Car Week with Luxury Rally Club. And for those who are lucky enough to find their way onto California’s Northern Peninsula in the coming weeks, keep an eye and an ear out for the famous Ferrari Enzo. Why The 458 Speciale Is One Of The Best Modern Ferraris

Ferrari has an immense pedigree of incredible cars, with countless breathtaking creations that showcase speed, luxury, engineering prowess, and design beauty, and for a car to stand out as one of the best Ferraris is no easy feat. The Ferrari 458 Speciale is one of those cars, managing to be the creme de la creme and be noted as one of the greatest performance cars ever made, but what makes it special isn’t as simple as being the fastest, most powerful, or most expensive. However, that is what makes it a car that will always be special and remembered. As top speed and power records continue to eclipse each other, especially as electrification has taken stats like horsepower and torque figures to a whole new level, the Ferrari 458 Speciale remains one of the greatest moments in Ferrari’s history, and whether that’s in tangible or intangible ways, its everlasting legendary status is impossible to deny. To those unfamiliar with the legacy of the Prancing Horse, it might be hard to understand why prices for the Ferrari 458 Speciale remain so incredibly high as time passes, but those who are in the know see it as a modern gem. So why is the Ferrari 458 Speciale so special, no pun intended? One of the most important reasons is that it’s the end of an era. The Ferrari 458 Speciale was the last, and arguably the greatest Ferrari to be powered by a naturally-aspirated V8 engine. A 4.9-liter unit, the engine mustered 597 horsepower and 398 lb/ft of torque, giving the car the ability to get from 0-60 mph in just 3.0 seconds, with a top speed of 202 mph. Its Fiorano Circuit lap time was only half a second slower than the F12berlinetta and its V12 engine, and its revised design, focused on aerodynamics and enhanced performance, was the result of a collaboration between the Ferrari Styling Center and Pininfarina. While the exact number is unknown, an exclusive, limited number of 458 Speciale coupes were made, but even more exclusive is the Ferrari 458 Speciale A. Standing for “Aperta,” the A designated that this version of the 458 Speciale was a Spider, and with its open top, it reached a slightly lower top speed of 199 mph. Only 499 examples of the 458 Speciale A were made, making it even more exclusive and desirable. With its rarity, its incredible performance, and its status as the ultimate naturally-aspirated V8 Ferrari, the 458 Speciale will always be one of the greatest Ferraris to ever take its place in the Prancing Horse’s stable. If you’re interested in owning one, it would certainly be a great addition to any Ferrari collection or exotic car collection. Ferrari USA Reveals 10 Bespoke Purosangues with American Grand Tour Atelier Collection

Ferrari USA has built 10 one-off versions of its four-door Purosangue exclusively for the United States, a move that underlines how central American demand has become to one of the Italian marque’s most profitable verticals: personalization. The American Grand Tour Atelier Collection comprises 10 cars, each finished in a unique specification themed on a US landscape, from desert dunes to coastal cliffs to mountain forest. "The Sands" pairs Blu Genziana Storico with Sabbia leather for pale desert dunes. "The Coast" reads ocean and weathered cliff through Blu Cangiante and Terra Antica hides. "The Mountains," "The Great Plains," and "The Forests" work through glacial greens and earthy bronzes. The second half shifts from landscapes to roads and adopts a more overtly American palette. "Overlook," "Straightaway," "Byway," "Mountainpass," and "Switchback" run through Rosso California, Blu NART, and Blu America finishes, with red, white, and blue recurring across the final five. <- Gallery -> The United States, of course, is Ferrari's single largest market, taking roughly one in four cars the company sells and generating 28 percent of its net revenue in 2025. Maranello has increasingly leaned on bespoke commissions to lift margins without raising volumes, a "fewer cars, more profit" approach evident across its recent reporting, from strong Q4 and full-year 2025 results to rising revenues and profits in Q2 2026, where operating profit climbed even as shipments stayed nearly flat. Nearly 75 years of V12 grand tourers have answered the American road. The 250 GT California Spider was conceived in the late 1950s for American clients, at the urging of US importers Luigi Chinetti and John von Neumann. Chinetti's North American Racing Team gave its name to the rare 275 GTB/4S NART Spider, of which only 10 were built. The 365 GTB/4 became known as the "Daytona" after Ferrari's 1-2-3 sweep of the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona, a name Ferrari revived again with the Daytona SP3 from Ferrari’s Icona Series. Every car in this collection retains the Purosangue's naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, which puts out 715 horsepower, one of the last 12-cylinder engines on sale in any segment as rivals move to hybrids and downsized turbo units. While pricing has not been disclosed, the standard Purosangue starts at just over $390,000, but bespoke Atelier cars carry substantial premiums, and used examples already trade well above list, with market data showing a duPont REGISTRY Index (dRi) value of $587,445. Ferrari Reports Q2 2026 Financial Results

One of the most recognizable and desirable brands in the world, inside and outside of the automotive industry, Ferrari is not only a legend for its incredible racing and road cars, but also for being an impressive example of business success. In the first half of 2026, Ferrari, like all of the world’s automotive manufacturers, was faced with a challenging global climate, but the historic brand continued to increase its revenue and profit compared to the second quarter and first half of last year. With 1.938 billion Euros in revenue for the quarter, Ferrari increased its revenue by eight percent compared to 2025’s number of 1.787 billion Euros. For the first half of the year, 3.786 billion Euros in revenue represented a six-percent increase compared to the first half of 2025. Meanwhile, Ferrari also increased its net and operating profits in both the first half of the year and the second quarter, the most impressive jump being a ten-percent increase in operating profit to 605 million Euros from 552 million, between the second quarters of 2025 and 2026. Throughout the period, Ferrari has increased deliveries of the 12Cilindri and 12Cilindri Spider, as well as the Purosangue and the 296 Speciale family. The Amalfi and 849 Testarossa family spent the period in their ramp-up phase, while the 296 GTS, the Roma Spider, and the SF90 XX were phased out. Meanwhile, two unique new Ferraris were added to the brand’s portfolio in the second quarter alone, each representing opposite ends of the spectrum of Ferrari’s brand: the new Ferrari Luce and the 12Cilindri Manuale. The Luce is Ferrari’s first EV, a powerful and technologically impressive model whose design tapped the talent of LoveFrom, and the 12Cilindri Manuale is a triumphant return of a beloved Ferrari formula, combining a front-mounted V12 engine with a manual transmission. A special limited series model, the 12Cilindri Manuale is already fully allocated. About the results, Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna said, “The robust results achieved in the second quarter reflect our disciplined execution and the continued strength of our strategy. A sustained trend in personalizations allows us to raise the guidance for the year. In a single quarter, we introduced the Ferrari Luce and the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale: two very different sports cars that embody the same Ferrari DNA and demonstrate how we blend tradition and innovation in unique ways. Today we have the most complete line-up in Ferrari history and we continue to experience healthy demand, with an order book that entirely covers 2027.” With positive results for the second quarter and first half of the year, Ferrari is enjoying a successful 2026 despite unique global circumstances.
