RM Sotheby’s To Offer the Only White Enzo Extant

Presented by RM Sotheby's. From his earliest days leading the Grand Prix titans of the Alfa Romeo stable to the final, game-changing supercar launched shortly before his death, Enzo Ferrari was resolutely committed throughout his life to creating world-beating machines. Whether sitting at the pinnacle of motorsport or within the pages of magazine centerfolds, cars that wore the Prancing Horse represented the very cutting edge of technology and style. Fitting, then, that the car built in his honor—the Ferrari Enzo—would exemplify everything that had seen the Maranello marque grow from a boutique producer of sports racers to one of the most coveted and desirable badges in automotive history. Like the great halo models that came before, the Enzo was created to push the envelope of road car performance, utilizing technology derived from the top-flight of motorsport and otherworldly styling from long-term partner Pininfarina. Constructed from lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum, the Enzo’s advanced chassis was clothed in composite bodywork styled by the carrozzeria’s Ken Okuyama and shaped by wind-tunnel testing. Influenced by the firm’s leading grand prix cars, the rakish nose struck a tone carried over to the rest of the coachwork, with subtle ground-effect aerodynamics and a small active spoiler in place of the F50’s outrageous rear wing. At the Enzo’s heart lay an all-new, mid-mounted, 5,998 cc V-12 engine capable of producing a staggering 651 horsepower— greater than the output of any of its rivals. But it wasn’t just the headline power figure that impressed, but how it was delivered, with an addictive combination of low-down torque, the aggressive snap of acceleration with each shift of the paddles, and the dizzying howl as the needle approaches the 8200 rpm redline. Like its top-of-the-range predecessors, the Enzo set a new benchmark for performance and design, and, due to a production run that numbered just 400 examples, has since become one of the preeminent collector cars of the modern era. Any Ferrari Enzo is a rare jewel befitting of any serious supercar collection, but chassis 133023 is an even more special machine. One of fewer than 20 “Extracampionario” cars finished in a non-standard color—a privilege reserved exclusively for Maranello’s most valued and discerning clients—this remarkable Enzo is the only example of that cohort—and indeed the full production run—to be specified in the shade of Bianco Avus. This unique Ferrari Enzo was completed on 22 May 2003, finished in the striking combination of Bianco Avus over Nero leather interior, specified with Rosso Corsa instruments and extra-large carbon-fiber bucket seats complete with rare 3D black cloth inserts. The car first made its way via Ferrari Central Europe in Wiesbaden, Germany to Symbol Automobiles in Matran, Switzerland, where it was sold to its first owner, a very private German-Swiss billionaire. Used minimally during those early years, the car spent much of its time drawing crowds while dressing the window of the boutique supplying dealer in Matran, before being exported to Hong Kong in 2011. Unregistered during its time in Hong Kong due to its left-hand-drive configuration, the Enzo served as a cornerstone of a significant Ferrari collection in recent years, and its odometer reading stands at just 9,600 km at the time of cataloging. As with many of the finest examples of the Prancing Horse, this phenomenal Enzo is recognized by Maranello with Ferrari Classiche certification awarded in November 2012. Further, the car has just received a full annual service at the Ferrari authorized dealer in Hong Kong. Offered exclusively by RM Sotheby’s and only being made available to the most discerning of clients, this offering represents an unrepeatable opportunity to take ownership of a legend: the one and only white Enzo. This rare Ferrari will be offered without reserve on RMSothebys.com in a unique private auction taking place 29-30 June 2022. Contact an RM Car Specialist with questions regarding this vehicle. 2016 Ferrari LaFerrari 7

Vinaccia 2016 Ferrari LaFerrari - RM Sotheby's London 2021

Presented by RM Sotheby's - Perhaps more than any other automaker, Ferrari has a tradition of building limited-production supercars that push the envelope of performance and design, while enriching the manufacturer’s cachet. From the competition-intended 288 GTO of the mid-1980s, through the 40th anniversary F40 model, the F50, and the Enzo, these cars have served heritage commemorative purposes while reinforcing Maranello’s identity as a boutique company that builds nothing less than the finest money can buy. By the early 2010s, this notion was challenged by a new breed of hybrid-electric hypercars being produced by other manufacturers, most notably the Porsche 918 Spyder and the McLaren P1. Relying on the spirit of competition that had served it so well on the track for 65 years, Ferrari duly met this challenge with yet another limited-production supercar, one that would dwarf its predecessors in power, technology, and scope. Unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Salon, the new model was simply called LaFerrari—literally “The Ferrari.” When the performance numbers and build approach were eventually dissected by the media and enthusiasts, it was difficult to argue with the model’s boastful name. The heart of LaFerrari is a rear-placed, 6.3-liter V-12 that was directly lifted from the developmental FXX model. With an absurd compression ratio of 13.5:1 the V-12 develops 789 hp, redlining at a whopping 9,250 rpm. The 516 ft-lb of torque arrive relatively high, just shy of 7,000 rpm. So an electric motor derived from the company’s F1 car KERS technology was installed in the rear, adding 161 hp, most of which is tapped for use at lower rpms. Power is routed directly to the rear axle alone, and shifting is accommodated by a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle. In total, the two engines combine for a head-spinning 949 hp and 663 ft lb of torque, propelling the slippery LaFerrari to 60 mph from standstill in as little as 2.4 seconds. The quarter-mile arrives in 9.7 seconds at 149.2 mph, besting both the Porsche 918 and the Bugatti Veyron. As Road & Track writer Larry Webster noted after his test, “It’s closer to driving an LMP car than, say, a 458 Speciale.” The LaFerrari’s carbon fiber tub is baked alongside those of the Scuderia Ferrari’s Formula 1 cars, and the hypercar’s entire architecture is based around the driver’s seating position, which is 2.4 inches lower than that of the Enzo. This was achieved, ironically, by removing the seat. That is to say the LaFerrari’s seats are little more than Alcantara-swathed pads that are directly attached to the floor and rear firewall. Accordingly, the pedals are adjustable and the “seat” is custom-padded for each individual buyer. Ferrari’s in-house designer Flavio Manzoni penned the coachwork, which is beautifully low-slung and sleek while eschewing the brutal and somewhat controversial styling of the Enzo. In order to control all the power on tap, the body was adorned with a host of electronically deployed active aerodynamic elements, including smart front and rear undercarriage panels, and a rear spoiler, which manage to continuously attenuate downforce from between 200 and 800 pds. Mammoth cross-drilled and vented Brembo carbon ceramic disc brakes and proprietary Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires complete the technical profile, keeping the LaFerrari as grounded as possible through screaming switchbacks. Concluding production in January 2016, the manufacture of the closed variant of the LaFerrari was capped at 499 examples, lending the model the degree of exclusivity expected of a top-shelf Maranello hypercar. Officially retailing for over $1.3 million, all 499 cars were purchased by preferred clients before the first LaFerrari was even complete. Road & Track's Webster was amazed at the hypercar’s versatility, and its grit at the limit. “The LaFerrari…was surprisingly docile at low speeds…There’s a lot of talk nowadays about how civilized sports car have become how modern tire and electronic systems have insulated drivers…The LaFerrari stands that notion on end…It demands a style that’s both aggressive and delicate. An amazing amount of speed is available to even modestly skilled drivers…but only the truly skilled can deploy all it offers…Take the LaFerrari where it wants to go…and the fangs come out. And that’s exactly how it should be.” This incredibly well presented LaFerrari benefits from a life of doting care under just two ownerships while experiencing very minimal driving use. Distributed in 2016 to the authorized Ferrari dealer Niki Hasler for customer delivery, the LaFerrari was purchased new by a respected marque collector based in Switzerland, and it was specified with a bespoke paint and interior combination that was used on this example alone. The exterior was finished in Vinaccia while the interior was upholstered in specially ordered Pelle Chiodi Di Garofano, replicating colors used on two of the owner’s significant historic Ferraris. The front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser were all finished in satin black. Further options included five-spoke forged alloy wheels painted in grigio, an automatic suspension lifter, nero-finished brake calipers, Ferrari track telemetry, track inner cams kit, embossed Prancing Horse logos on the headrests, an integrated audio system, F150 plaque on the steering wheel, rosso button surrounds to the center bridge, and Topaz self-healing paint protection film on the entire exterior. Retained by the original owner for a year or two, the LaFerrari was later acquired by the consignor, who imported the car to the United Kingdom with VAT and duties paid, and first registered it in May 2018. Since then the Ferrari has lived a quiet life of controlled storage, and the odometer currently displays just 918 miles. Among its rare public appearances, the LaFerrari was presented once at a supercar day at Stoner Park. Accompanied by a full set of color-matched luggage, a toolkit, and owner’s manuals, the LaFerrari is documented with a full service history conducted by the authorized dealers Niki Hasler in Switzerland, and Maranello Concessionaires in the UK. The uniquely finished and rarely driven berlinetta awaits its next caretaker, offering prodigious power and advanced technological function. It should find a warm welcome at marque events and major Concours d’Elegance worldwide, or it may be quietly admired for its brilliance as Maranello’s most highly developed hypercar, an eminent example of the Ferrari. This vehicle will be offered at RM Sotheby’s 15th annual London auction on 6 November, taking place at Waterloo Place and online at rmsothebys.com. CCP Spring Classic Auction: 1979 Ferrari BB 512 Berlinett...

Presented by Collector Car Productions - The Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer was the first in a series of Ferraris to use a mid-mounted flat-twelve engine, and was the first mid-engined road car to bear the Ferrari name and the Cavallino Rampante (prancing horse). The name 512 referred to the car’s 5-liter 12 cylinder engine and 929 BB512 units were built. The example offered here is a very special one indeed having traveled only 23,650 kilometers from new! Even more impressive, is the fact that the paint is mostly original. We found the original paint condition to be extremely impressive and free of obvious damages or imperfections. The interior was equally impressive and although there are some minor signs of small scuff marks, the original interior soft components are not far away from showroom new. The engine bay and suspension components are amazingly free of dust or grease and speak volumes to the care and attention to proper storage conditions that this car has resided in. Aside from the original trunk accessories such as the jack roll and tool kit, this Boxer comes with the original service book and manuals. And to put the icing on the cake, the car comes with a complete inspection report from Ferrari Classiche who issued the Ferrari Certificate of Authenticity. A World Class Documented Ferrari . . . This is just one of approximately 100 great hand-selected cars to be offered at the Toronto Spring Classic Car Online Auction to be held on June 12, 2021 by CCP Auctions. View Listing

Rare Sunroof Six-Speed Ferrari 360 Modena Coupe For Sale

Presented by Ferrari Lake Forest - This specific 360 is one of the rarest and most desirable 360 Modena’s produced.  In addition to being equipped with a manual six-speed transmission, it was also optioned with a " title="YouTube video" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen>. It is believed that only 25 cars worldwide were fitted with this option and of those only 12 were released in the US market.  The manual removable section works like a GTS body style and adds almost no additional weight so the center of gravity won’t be affected. The detachable sunroof stores neatly behind the seats. With less than 23,550 miles, this unique 360  would make an exquisite addition to any collection.   The 360 Modena was a clean-sheet design that foretold future trends for Ferrari road cars. The design called for seemingly contrasting objectives, lower weight combined with greater chassis rigidity. The engineers in Maranello were able to achieve such success by employing innovative construction technology.   The 360 Modena was the first production Ferrari to be constructed entirely out of aluminum. The car's body shell, chassis, and suspension wishbones were all made from lightweight material. Aluminum allowed engineers to achieve the best overall performance and handling in a mid-engined Ferrari at the time. The  Chassis was designed and built in collaboration with Alcoa. The partnership allowed for a structure to be built that was 40% stronger in structural rigidity and  28% lighter, compared to the model's predecessor, the 355. The suspension mounting points are one-piece casting and the chassis was assembled on the same technique used for the F50, a CNC workstation.   The styling was the 163rd Ferrari to be penned by Pininfarina. It combines elements of classic Ferraris, such as the 250LM, 268SP, and Dino. Like the 488 and many other modern Ferrari models today, the 360 Modena was the first Ferrari to show the ventrally mounted V8 engine under a glass cover.  View Price and Listing
