Ready for Anything: Rally Fighter at Taggart Autosport

If you’re the type of person that prefers to make their own path, regardless of where the paved road ends, then the Rally Fighter might be the car for you. With 20 inches of travel, nearly 450 hp from a Corvette engine and a manually adjustable dual ride height, there aren't a lot of places that the Rally Fighter can’t go.First off, let’s catch you up on the history of the Rally Fighter. In 2007, John ‘Jay’ Rogers, Local Motors Co-Founder and CEO, set out to completely disrupt the way things work in the automotive industry. The team used open-source principles to change the way cars are designed, developed and brought to market. Rally cars previously had to be built by the owner; now, Taggart Autosport is building them for clients.Glance under the hood and you’ll find a GM LS3 E-Rod 376ci all aluminum V8 that produces 430 hp at 5,900 rpms and 424 lb-ft of torque at 4,600 rpms. The LS3 sits back quite far in the powder coated frame to give a great front-rear weight ratio. Before being chosen as the Rally Fighter's power plant, the LS3 was painstakingly modernized by GM to be street legal, even by California's tough standards.Bolted to the block is a GM 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission that sends power to a Ford 9-inch rear-end with a 4.11 gear. Mash the throttle, and the Rally Fighter will rocket from 0-60 mph in six seconds flat. Give it enough room and it can achieve a top speed of 131 mph. The team also decided to keep the car a RWD vehicle. This makes for an incredibly fun ride on or off the street. While the LS3 is a more than capable engine, the real story of the Rally Fighter might be the suspension underneath the ride. At nearly 70 inches tall, 80 inches wide, and a 115 inch wheelbase, the Rally Fighter has one mighty tough suspension underneath it to tackle any environment you want throw at it. Tilt the hood forward and you’ll see coil-over shocks with piggyback reservoirs equipped on both the front and rear. But it doesn’t stop there; billet upper and lower front control arms ensure that no hill will get the best of the Fighter. The combination of the King coil-overs, independent double a-arms and a detachable stabilizer bar helps the Rally Fighter achieve an unbelievable 18 inches of travel in the front suspension. At the back of the car you will find a reverse triangulated four-link rear suspension housing the rear-end that is capable of 20 inches of travel. At the corners you will find 4-wheel disc brakes and various options for wheel and tire packages.Inside the Rally Fighter, you don’t feel like you are in a rugged off-road machine at all. Open the doors and you’ll find an interior that is capable of comfortably housing yourself and three of your closest friends.duPont REGISTRY Exotic CarsOptional Features include a 6 speed automatic transmission, the best warranty in custom cars, the comfort package, dual exhaust, Recaro seats, a supercharger and upgraded alloy wheels. We are proud to offer chassis 0048 in new condition.  It has less than 1000 miles, and was just broken in. 2015 Roush Stage 3 Mustang For Sale

Jack “Cactus Jack” Roush has a knack for modifying Mustangs. His name is synonymous with performance, and his latest creation has more power than you could ever need. Our friends at Ford of Murfreesboro have made a name for themselves as well, and not just as the builder of the “Black Ops Edition F-150.” If you have a need for speed, they have just taken delivery of the new Roush Stage 3 Mustang. In a YouTube video uploaded June 26, Specialty Vehicle Manager Ryan Greatrex highlights the most important features of this new car. Starting with a Mustang GT, Roush worked with Ford Performance to develop a new generation of their “ROUSHcharger.” This massive supercharger displaces 2.3-liters, which makes it larger than most four cylinder engines on the market. Force feeding that much additional air into the 5.0-liter V8 is how the RS3 is able to make 670 hp and 545 lb-ft of torque. It wouldn’t be as potent without a host of other proprietary changes, including their own intake, exhaust and computer tuning. If you don’t opt for the active exhaust, bypassing the mufflers is easily accomplished by removing the block off plates at the tailpipes. That is just one of the neat features that let you know this car was built by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. To see some highlights of the 2015 Stage 3 Mustang, check out this video from ROUSHperformance, posted to YouTube May 23. All Roush models are backed by a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty, and the price for this particular Stage 3 Mustang is set at $65,255. Be sure to check out this Mustang in detail in the gallery, and for more information, view the listing by hitting the button below.  Buy Now Gallery (Source: YouTube, Ford of Murfreesboro, an advertiser of duPont REGISTRY ) See More "For Sale" Updates

2010 Mercedes-Benz CL550 4MATIC Centennial Edition For Sale

If a business makes it to their 100th anniversary, they must be doing something right. If their business is building cars, they must be making the best cars in the world. In the summer of 2009, Mercedes celebrated their centennial with a very exclusive CL550.In order to make this car one for the ages, they pulled out all the stops. The "100 Years of Mercedes-Benz Edition" has standard 4matic all wheel drive and the AMG Sports package. Many aspects of this car were limited to the anniversary edition. From the in-house design studio came a metallic graphite exterior finish, along with a hand stitched aniline leather interior. On the center console are the original emblems from Daimler and Benz. The roof is finished in anthracite alcantara, providing a brilliant contrast against the piano black wood trim. The Sports Package includes front and rear spoilers along with painted calipers and rocker panels. Anniversary edition wheels are 20” and finished in titanium gray. Under the hood is the potent 382 hp V8 and automatic transmission. Torque is rated at 391 ft-lbs. This much power sent to all wheels is why this car is "The Best or Nothing.” Only a few anniversary edition cars were brought to the US -- don’t pass up this opportunity for the centerpiece of your Mercedes collection. To understand the significance of this car, the original press release issued by Mercedes-Benz from 2009 can be found below.View Listing and Buy NowMontvale, NJ – This year Mercedes-Benz is celebrating the one hundredth birthday of the Mercedes three-pointed star and the Benz emblem with an exclusive edition of the flagship CL-Class Coupe. This anniversary model shines with an extensive package of appointments and exquisite details. These include an elegant paint finish from the designo collection, the AMG Sports package, premium leather, black piano lacquer trim and beautifully executed emblems of the original trademarks inset into the center console. These are accurate reproductions of the emblems that Daimler Motorengesellschaft and Benz & Cie registered as trademarks one hundred years ago, forming the basis for the Mercedes star. With this special edition, Mercedes-Benz is adding even more individuality to the luxury coupé, and showing that even the best can still be perfected. Available with standard 4MATIC all-wheel-drive, a limited number of the special "100 Years of Mercedes-Benz Edition" model goes on sale in the U.S. during the summer of 2009.The histories of the Mercedes star and the Benz laurel wreath began independently of each other: on June 24, 1909 Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft officially registered the design of the Mercedes star, and on August 6th Benz & Cie. registered the letters "Benz", enclosed by a laurel wreath, as a trademark with the Imperial Patent Office. The fact that both vehicle makers registered their new trademarks in the summer of 1909 appears in retrospect as a parallel to the year 1886. That was the year when, again independently of each other, Gottlieb Daimler and Carl Benz invented the automobile. Twenty-three years later the two companies, competitors at the time, created new brand symbols which promptly appeared as a badge and device on their respective vehicles. On February 18, 1925 – more than a year prior to the merger of Daimler and Benz on June 28, 1926 – the two brands registered the new joint logo: Daimler's Mercedes star set within Benz's laurel wreath. The CL-Class has been acknowledged as a masterpiece of automobile engineering since its inception. It combines the comfort of a prestigious luxury sedan with the athleticism of a sports car, with a captivating design and trailblazing high-tech features. With its exclusive appointments, the special "100 Years of Mercedes-Benz Edition" underlines the special status of the CL-Class.The crowning highlights of the anniversary edition are the historic trademarks dating from 1909 in gilded plate brass, which are inset into the center console. Together with the designo metallic graphite paint finish these accentuate the model's exquisitely luxurious character. Sporty visual touches are provided by the AMG Sports package with muscular front and rear aprons, side skirts and sports pedals of brushed stainless steel with black rubber studs, plus painted brake callipers with Mercedes-Benz lettering. The anniversary edition also includes high-sheen 20-inch 5 twin-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels painted in titanium grey, which are only available for this special CL-Class model. They are shod with 255/35 R 20 tires. The interior is fitted with exquisite, partly hand-stitched Sahara Beige premium leather. The high-quality wood/leather steering wheel harmonizes with the interior trim in shining black piano lacquer. The 382-hp special CL550 4MATIC "100 Years of Mercedes-Benz Edition" is equipped with all the new features of model year 2010. These include new exterior mirrors with larger lenses, an eye-catching indicator design in LED technology and improved aerodynamics and an upgraded telematics generation with a further development of COMAND system. An SD card slot in the center console, a USB interface in the glove compartment and a universal Media Interface for connecting mobile audio devices are also included. Finally, all components of the Premium 2 package are included as standard equipment.Gallery
