Miura Homage 2015 Lamborghini Huracan For Sale

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, which is why Lamborghini used the classic colors of the original SuperVeloce for the Aventador Miura Homage edition. The beautiful combination of Rosso Mars over gold rocker panels along with a black interior would look great on almost any car, but we first saw them on a stunning 1972 Miura SV from Curated. We assumed the colors would be exclusive to the Aventador, but one savvy dealer found a loophole in the ordering process. FC Kerbeck ordered this stunning 2015 Huracan as a Miura tribute, and it has only seen 3.456 miles before being traded for something else. For sale by Algar Ferrari of Philadelphia, and it has every option available. Exposed Carbon Fiber Pagani Huayra For Sale in Florida

Here's a crazy one: a 2014 Pagani Huayra has been listed for sale at Prestige Imports in Miami, Florida. Actually, this shouldn't come as a surprise considering Prestige Imports is actually an authorized Pagani dealership.Named after the Quechua wind god, Huayra-tata, the Huayra is a hell of a car sporting a massive twin-turbo Mercedes-AMG V12 engine that was built specifically for Pagani. This powerplant produces 730 hp that, in cooperation with the advanced aerodynamics, will have the car cutting through the air in a god-like manner.(Also Check Out - The Pagani Huayra Project Vulcan: Created by Dedication) This example dons no paint finish opting for exposed carbon fiber instead. Contrasting against the dark tones of the carbon fiber is red trimming that is found across the car in places like the wheels and side skirts. I might be biased considering the red/black combo is one of my favorites, but this hypercar is downright stunning. If the exterior doesn't give you enough carbon fiber, the interior is also chock-full of the material. The car comes with 995 miles clocked on the odometer, a low amount for a two-year-old car. Tarocco Orange 2015 McLaren P1 For Sale

Along with being incredibly light and strong, carbon fiber is also a great electrical conductor. Perhaps that is why McLaren chose it as the basis for their P1 hybrid hypercar. Only 375 cars were produced, which is why we love the opportunity to showcase them. What you see before you could be the most highly optioned P1 in existence, located at McLaren Newport Beach.McLaren Special Operations is capable of customizing any of their models, and we have yet to see a limit to their abilities. This car has all of the standard content which includes a 903 hp twin turbo 3.8L V8 and a plug-in hybrid electric drive, but the list of MSO options is simply shocking. If you need more citrus in your diet, Tarocco Orange is the name of the bespoke exterior. You won't find another like this, because McLaren says it was the only US-spec P1 ordered in this finish. McLaren Newport beach has a knack for repeat business, so this low mileage (only 1,114) example has been taken in on trade with no evidence of wear. This is car #225 and it was among the most expensive cars to be ordered. For more information and images, head over to the listing on our main site.View Listing

World Record 2015 Underground Racing Lamborghini Huracan ...

If you felt like dominating your local drag strip or autocross, the Huracan is capable of taking almost anything. From the factory, the base Huracan arrives with 610 hp and all-wheel drive. If you have a need for speed, Underground Racing has finished the development of its latest UR X-Version twin-turbo Lamborghini Huracan. Because the Huracan is still relatively new, UR had to build the intakes and exhausts from scratch. It takes serious reverse engineering to find room to mount the turbos and related components, and they were able to package it all neatly between the engine and rear bumper. The symmetrical system has two air to water intercoolers along with the latest in Motec electronics. Many turbo cars have anti-lag for launch control, but this is a game-changer. View Price & Listing View Lamborghini Huracan Price, Specs, Photos When activated, anti-lag selectively shuts off the fuel and ignition of individual cylinders. This causes a momentary drop in power while helping the turbos get up to speed. With 2100 hp available, this Huracan has the ability to evaporate all four tires even from a rolling start. Because the car has 10 cylinders, momentarily interrupting the firing order isn't that big of a deal. Also included are two sets of HRE racing wheels, with a good set of Toyo R888's ready for top speed. Currently, the car is set up for 1/2 mile racing, where it set a record of 238.6 mph. If you are curious as to what it will do in the quarter mile, that happens in only 7.7 seconds at 186 mph. It is capable of more, but drag parachutes might be required. For more information, please visit the listing on our main site. View Price & Listing Shakedown race World record time, listen closely for the anti-lag

Publisher's Choice: 1963 Toyota FJ43 Land Cruiser For Sale

We give Toyota an honorable mention for the 2006 FJ Cruiser, but everyone agrees, "They don't build them like the used to." That notion sparked a resurgence of popularity in the classic FJ Land Cruiser, which was produced from 1960 to '84. With a short wheelbase and rugged construction, they have a following that is almost unmatched in the world of 4 Wheel Drives. Our boss doesn't normally choose a 4WD for Publisher's Choice, so allow us to explain why he loves this Toyota.Generally, classic FJs can be grouped into two classes: stock restorations or wild customs. You might value the Japanese engineering that was built to conquer any terrain, but we have an original example in our collection. In stock form, the FJ is nose heavy and underpowered. The original frame is an open C-channel that can flex when you need articulation. The original engine was based on the ancient GMC straight six, which made 105 hp and weighed over 600 lbs.I could go on with other areas to be addressed on the original FJ series, but given an unlimited budget it might end up something like this. Travel the world and find a pristine FJ43 (long wheelbase) and ship it to Ai Design. First take most of the original C-channel frame and sell if for scrap. Call Art Morrison and order a tube frame chassis in their finest thick-wall DOM. Remove the original engine and fill it with tannerite. Find a late model Chevrolet 5.3L V8 to cut a few hundred lbs in weight. Back that up with a new Aisin-Warner 5 speed transmission. Send power through an Atlas II transfer case to locking differentials. Fabricate new bumpers with integrated receiver hitches front and rear, and add a Warn Zeon winch.Change all the lighting to LED, the gauges to Autometer, and call it a day! But no, its still not light enough. Scan the entire body into a CAD program and make every body panel from aluminum instead of steel. There, you have the recipe for a perfect FJ. It will only take you over a year and a few thousand hours to build what you see here. Some of the more interesting features are an onboard CO2 system for inflating toys and a very rare hard top. As far as what original parts were retained, that would be the radiator support and the VIN plate. This is the world's most capable FJ, and it can be yours.View Listing

Buy All Three Of The Hypercar Holy Trinity In One Place

History repeats itself. Not in the fact that Florida experiences 15 minutes of torrential rain every day, but in that duPont REGISTRY has several examples of the world's most powerful cars for sale. The "Holy Trinity" of hypercars to be exact: the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. The state of the art in supercars are ones that combine powerful gas engines with hybrid energy storage. Recent advances in battery technology have allowed manufacturers to incorporate electric power into almost every form of transportation. These cars make incredible power, but each uses a different approach to energy storage and incorporating the power into the drivetrain.McLaren should receive an award for having only 3.8L of displacement in their engines. This small V8 is boosted by twin turbos to 727 hp and coupled to an electric motor/generator for a total output of 904 hp and 723 lb-ft of torque. Search McLaren P1 For SaleThe LaFerrari's 6.3L V12 makes 789 hp naturally aspirated, and it uses two electric motors for a total of 950 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. One unit is coupled to the transmission for direct drive, and the second is on the engine to charge the batteries. Like the P1, slow speed maneuvering is done in electric mode as long as the battery is charged. Search LaFerrari For SaleFor their masterpiece, Porsche made a sensible decision to share the power with all wheels. At the foundation is a twin turbo 4.6L V8 which uses a flat-plane crank to spin to 8600 rpm. Higher engine speeds allow the generator to charge more efficiently and send power to the electric front axles. Total output is 887 hp and 940 lb-ft. Horsepower sells cars but torque wins races, and the all-wheel drive will keep you planted in the corners. Search Porsche 918 Spyder For SaleI haven't driven a P1, but I can attest to the unreal abilities of the others. Each one has a 120v wall charger if you don't want to use any fuel, but who goes to a theme park just to ride the Monorail? Until something more powerful comes along, allow our dealers to leave you electrified.

Black on Black Saleen S7 Twin Turbo For Sale

In the long history of Ford powered supercars, the Saleen S7 stands apart from the others. Not only was the S7 developed to dominate on the track, it was the last great triumph of Ford's traditional V8. Some have speculated that the Saleen S7 is what prompted the return of the GT in 2003, but regardless of its implications to lesser cars, the S7 Twin Turbo is an 850 hp recipe for excitement. Saleen began S7 development in the late 90's, with many in the motoring press deriding his efforts to build his own supercar. Previously his company specialized in wild versions of the Mustang and other Ford cars, so this was seemingly beyond their abilities. Production began in 2000 using a naturally aspirated 7.0L V8. This allowed it to reach 60 mph in under 4 seconds and return consistent 11 second 1/4 mile times. While that may be faster than 99% of cars on the road today, there was room for improvement. (Located at Exotic Motors Midwest) Mr. Saleen has never been content to leave his creations alone, so from the car's inception to 2005 the team had developed a myriad of upgrades to the original design. When the Ford GT arrived with a factory supercharged V8, Steve returned fire with the S7 Twin Turbo. No, this isn't a turbo package, for all intents and purposes it is a new model. Taking the S7 back to the drawing board, the team was able to integrate aerodynamic and powertrain revisions that had been planned for the original car, but were too expensive to build at the time. Starting at the ground up, the Twin Turbo arrived with dual coil springs at all corners. This is not normally seen on street cars due to cost reasons, but it makes perfect sense considering the car's dual nature. The main spring handles normal driving, and a secondary coil supports the incredible downforce generated at high speeds. Brembo monoblock calipers were also integrated, which lowered unsprung weight. For weekend racers, a competition package was also available. By raising the boost of the turbochargers along with other engine revisions, the S7 Twin Turbo offered no less than 850 hp to play with. Any normal small block V8 would detonate at these levels, so a few innovative steps were taken to ensure reliability. The camshaft is belt driven to separate valvetrain harmonics from the bottom end. This resulted in numerous class wins at LeMans and Daytona, making the S7 Twin Turbo one of the most desired cars in the world. What you see here is an opportunity to own the most highly optioned model we have seen. With only 961 miles, it isn't even broken in yet. Exotic Motors Midwest, located in St. Louis, MO, just completed a full service, consisting of changing all fluids along with testing the turbos and ignition system. Included is the original window sticker, luggage, and a certificate of authenticity from Steve. You won't find a new S7 Twin Turbo with the competition package anywhere. Exotic Motors is pleased to offer this car for sale at their St. Louis headquarters. 1967 "Ferrari" Thomassima Selling For $9 Million

To venture to Italy in the 1960s as an American and design an automobile while there was no simple task, but it was a task Tom Meade undertook and completed. The result of his journey was the Thomassima. And now, the Thomassima II is for sale on duPontREGISTRY.com for a cool $9 million after a complete restoration by Red Car Restorations.Back in the '60s, Meade had just finished his "world tour" with the Navy and was working in California. After a day of work, he spotted a tail of car on his walk home. Just this tiny glimpse of the car took him by surprise and he had to find out what it was. The owner told Meade that it was a Ferrari 500 TRC and that there was a warehouse full of them in Rome.Immediately, Meade knew what he had to do, and he left for Italy on a freighter with only $50 in his pocket. After working with Maserati and Ferrari engineers for years, he produced his first vehicle: the Thomassima I. This car was based on the Ferrari 250 GT and embodied Mead's vision of elegance. Unfortunately, a very rainy season caused the workshop where the car was housed to be flooded. The high water rendered Meade's first complete car irreparable before it had even debuted.Bouncing back after a major loss, Meade was commissioned to create a car for a friend back in California. For the new car's chassis, he used a modified chassis from a Cooper Climax F1, as Tim Taylor of Red Car Restorations told us in a phone interview. Taylor also noted this very Cooper Climax F1 chassis was raced by De Tomaso. View ListingAfter months of designing, building and revising, the Thomassima II was delivered to its owner in Los Gatos, California."What made this car so important was Meade's vision and tenacity to walk into Maserati and Ferrari as an American and work with those guys," said Taylor. "And then, to build a car he believed to be comparable to any cars they were building at the time, beauty wise, was astounding. It was accepted at the time. I'm still in awe that this car even happened."Years passed, and the legendary car swapped owners. At an unknown point in its lifetime, it was involved in an unfortunate accident, leaving its nose damaged. In 1983, current owner Larry Hatfield purchased the car as is. He planned on having it restored and kept it in a barn completely disassembled, but the years passed and the car sat without its planned repairs. This is when Taylor and his partner at Red Car Restorations, Derik Kennedy, stepped in. Hatfield hired the two due to their reputation of putting one-off cars back together and working with projects that had little to no background information. The two restorers accepted the challenge.Their first encounter with the Thomassima II occurred in the barn where it had sat dormant. "Every part was dismantled, except for the engine and transmission," said Taylor. "We had to take pieces of the car and figure out how it all went back together. It was a difficult task due to no documentation."Every single component of the car had to be refurbished. But, for the body, everything could remain original except for the nose, the point where the car had hit a tree. After seven years of locating missing components, educating themselves on the car and restoring it, the Thoamssima II was brought back to life. "The only thing that remained completely untouched was its wheel, per Meade himself," Taylor stated. "He told us this is where the hands that built this car connected to the car and he wanted this bit of automotive history to be unaltered."At the Concorso Italiano 2015, the Thomassima II in its restored form was unveiled to the world. And now, just months later, the Thomassima II is looking for a new home. This historic "Ferrari" is currently up for sale for $9 million on duPontREGISTRY.com. Taylor told us he hopes the new owner is a "true enthusiast that understands the car's history and what it did."You can view the car's listing by clicking the button below.View Listing Sponsored by:
