Hennessey is a well-known and celebrated name within the automotive industry, and it’s especially recognizable for its commitment to all-American performance engineering, including groundbreaking hypercars that rely purely on V8 ICE power to achieve nearly unprecedented performance capabilities, and customized versions of American staples that achieve incredible performance through Hennessey’s tweaks.
The latest is the new Hennessey VelociRaptor 1200 Ford F-250, a transformation of Ford’s immense F-250 truck that, serendipitously, arrives just in time to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence since 1776. It’s based on the F-250 Lariat, with its 6.7‑liter High Output V8 Turbo Diesel engine that produces an immense 1,200 lb/ft of torque, and enhances it with various changes made to its interior and styling.
An upgraded suspension system with five inches of lift offers greater off-road capability compared to the standard car, and it pairs with lightweight wheels and 37-inch tires, while various carbon fiber components throughout enhance the truck’s aggressive aesthetic in signature Hennessey style. The interior is also enhanced with custom leather and Alcantara upholstery, with red accent stitching, and a custom plaque indicating the truck’s part in a limited series of just 250 examples. Unveiled at this year’s NADA show in Las Vegas, Nevada, the new Hennessey VelociRaptor 1200 F-250 is a unique celebration of 250 years of American independence.
