The latest version of Ford's 5.0 liter V8 arrives with 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. But the GT comes fully loaded, with a dry weight of 3,700 lbs. If you don't want to get smoked by a Fox Body or an SN95, Hennessey has your prescription. It starts with a heaping helping of boost. A 3.0-liter supercharger of their own design is paired with larger fuel injectors and a new pump.
For what it's worth, the stock exhaust system flows well, so it is left alone to keep state inspectors happy. A full stainless system is available as an option. Each car is dyno tuned and road tested at their adjacent Lonestar motorsports park. This ensures your car will arrive with a perfect air/fuel ratio and ignition timing.
