Hennessey Venom F5 Going Overseas to Geneva

This year's Geneva Motor Show is going to be full of power, especially since Hennessey announced that they will be attending the event with their Venom F5 hypercar. Along with the Venom F5 making its way overseas, our friend John Hennessey will be in attendance as well. That means a car from the United States of America will be one of the fastest and most impressive cars in attendance. The Venom F5 has 1,600 bhp on tap, which is enough power for a top speed of over 300 mph. This power comes from Hennessey’s own twin-turbo V8 engine. Thanks to its light weight of 2,950 lbs and a low-drag coefficient, the Venom F5 will rocket from 0-186 mph in less than 10 seconds– that’s quicker than current Formula 1 race cars. Zero to 249 mph and back to a stop will be accomplished in under 30 seconds, faster than Koenigsegg’s current world record.Check back with us for more Geneva Motor Show 2018 news! Dodge Demon Feature

Hennessey 'Sets the Dodge Demon Free'

When Dodge first announced the new Challenger SRT Demon, one of their main talking points was that the car had been banned by the NHRA. While this is an impressive feat, it's an unfortunate turn of events for those that wanted to run a Demon at NHRA's 1/4 drag strips.Thankfully, there's Hennessey Performance. In a July 18, 2017 letter to Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands at FCA US LLC, John Hennessey assured the company that new Demon owners will have a place to run their cars to their full potential: Hennessey's own Lonestar Motorsports Park 1/4 mile dragstrip. Hennessey's only requirement is that Demons owners will attend one day of drag racing school with their Demon so that they can become "familiar with burnouts, setting tire pressures and safley operating their vehicles in a dragstrip environment."So, those looking to run quarter-miles in 9.65 @ 140 mph with their Demon will be able to find solace in Hennessey Performance.

New Hennessey Hypercar Takes Direct Aim at the Bugatti Ch...

Hennessey Performance has fired some direct shots at Bugatti, saying their new Venom F5 hypercar will be a direct competitor for the new Chiron for being the world's fastest production series super sports car.“We are very excited about our F5 and that it brings forth an all-new design and chassis to achieve even higher performance through improved aerodynamics and technology,” said company founder and CEO, John Hennessey. “The best way I can describe the Venom F5 is that it is sophisticated aggression on wheels. We look forward to sharing F5 with the world later this year.”The name of the new Venom F5 comes from the designation for the fastest tornado on Earth, the F5 tornado. These tornadoes have speeds between 260 mph and 318 mph, and Hennessey Performance is aiming to have the Venom F5 reach speeds of up to 300 mph.Hennessey Performance is already well underway when it comes to the development of the Venom F5. In fact, they have already established Hennessey Special Vehicles, a new company, that will design, develop, build and sell the new hypercar.“This is a new chapter in an all new book,” said Hennessey.  “F5 will be exceptionally American and built in Texas.  We look forward to sharing more details about our special hypercar very soon.”
