New 1000 HP Hennessey Exorcist Camaro Edition Celebrates ...

Celebrating 30 years of "making fast cars faster." Hennessey Performance is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a very special Exorcist 30th Anniversary Camaro. Each of these examples will come with an anniversary logo on the front panels behind the wheels and a chassis plate denoting its place in the production run. While these numbers are special, the power under the hood of each example is downright insane. Hennessey has tuned the Exorcist Camaro so the power output is raised all the way up to 1,000 bhp and 883 lb-ft of torque. That power will propel the muscle car from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.1 seconds. It will also complete a quarter-mile run in 9.57 seconds. "The Exorcist is the epitome of the American Muscle car and has the off-the-line performance to embarrass almost any car on the planet," said John Hennessey, found and CEO of Hennessey Performance. "We’ve been making fast cars faster since 1991, so our 30th Anniversary Exorcist pools all we know into one ferocious supercar slayer." Hennessey will be offering the Exorcist 30th Anniversary Camaro at a price of $135,000, which also includes the price of the base Camaro ZL1. Each example also comes with a two-year/24,000-mile warranty. Customers can order this special model as either a coupe or convertible and with either a manual or automatic transmission. If you'd like to order one, that can be done through an authorized Chevrolet dealer or by calling (866)838-0979. See Hennesseys For Sale

The first of many to be revealed. Hennessey has just unveiled a rendering of a Venom F5 that was customized by none other than Howard Panes (@howardpanes). The exterior is finished in a bright blue paint that's accented by orange trim, similar to that of a Gulf Oil livery. Inside is a one-of-a-kind orange leather interior that matches the exterior trim. I've got to hand it to Howie P. because this is a brilliant spec. Of course, this is the first of many customer Venom F5s that will be unveiled, so be sure to stay with us for more news from Hennessey. Hennessey GT500 vs Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat

V8 + Boost = Excitement The roar of superchargers can be heard in downtown Houston. That's because once John Hennessey and his team get their hands under your hood, brutal power will soon appear. On Monday Dodge announced that limiting the production of the Durango Hellcat was a mistake. The 2,000 reservations evaporated within minutes, so they told the plant to keep building them. We're happy because Hennessey has proven the ability to offer 1,000 horsepower at all wheels in a reliable (and tame) daily driver. This is done without even touching the camshaft because that is the realistic limit of the Hemi's bottom end. To see it in action, a GT 500 Mustang was used as the control at the Pennzoil proving grounds. This is another potent platform they can take to 1,000 horsepower should you have a need for speed, so click the button to see what Hennessey can do to your daily driver! Learn More

911 Turbo vs GT500

2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S vs Hennessey Venom 1000 GT500

Borrowing the boss's car for a street race is always a great idea, except when your opponent combines boost and ethanol. To see how Germany compares to the republic of Texas, let's watch a 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S vs. Hennessey Venom 1000 GT500. When we learned he had pushed the latest Shelby into 4-digit power we tried to imagine likely competitors. The latest flagship Porsche sends 640 horsepower and 590 lb-ft to all wheels. So even with the big blower, the Mustang is at a disadvantage being rear-wheel drive. It would be nice to brake-boost these two at the line, but a rolling race is easier on these brand-new supercars. Tell us which one you would drive in the comments below and stay with us to follow this 911 Turbo S into uncharted territory. Learn More

Hennessey Hellcat vs Demon

By Andrew Nabors –  February 09, 2021

2018 Dodge SRT Demon vs. Hennessey HPE900 Hellcat Charger

Every automaker is on an electric push while Dodge has stuffed their supercharged Hemi into the Jeep Wrangler and the Ram TRX. To see how capable it truly is, let's watch a 2018 Dodge SRT Demon vs a new Hennessey HPE900 Hellcat Charger. For a quick refresher, the Demon was the most powerful muscle car in recent history. When the fuel tank sensed race fuel, it unlocked 840 horsepower and 770 lb-ft of torque. While this package was not offered on the 4-door Charger, they share the same architecture. While John Hennessey and his team have offered 1,000 horsepower examples for a decade, one lucky customer chose the HPE900 kit because it isn't as thirsty. Removing the upper and lower supercharger pulleys, their master technicians port the intake and fabricate an all-new stainless exhaust. Without removing the blower, heads, or touching the cam, the car receives a 200-mile shakedown along with a street-tune for the highest octane you can buy at the pump. This results in having 912 horsepower and 873 lb-ft of torque without having to spend big bucks on race fuel. Should the customer ever want to reach 1,000 horsepower, most of the hard work is already done. Tell us which car you would choose in the comments below and stay with us for all your Hennessey news.
