Hennessey Velociraptor: By The Numbers

Hennessey has just taken the Ford F-150 Raptor to a whole new level! Adding new axles, additional wheels and a whole lot more have resulted in an American monster known as the Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6. “Our VelociRaptor 6X6 is pure aggression on wheels – all six of them”, said Hennessey. “The new 2017 Raptor is going to be one of the best all-around trucks ever built. We are excited to help take it to the next level both in terms of performance and exclusivity.” It takes Hennessey Performance quite a bit of expertise, time and parts in order to make this conversion possible—this isn’t your average conversion. The full list of upgrades that have been made to the F-150 in order to turn it into the VelociRaptor 6°—6 include 6°—6 locking rear axles, Fox suspension, 20-inch wheels, off-road tires, custom bumpers, rollbar and LED Lights. All of these upgrades are installed by Hennessey Performance’s trained professionals at their Sealy, Texas facility where they also create a variety of other road-going monsters, like their upcoming Venom F5 supercar. When its ready for production, it will be featured among the world's most exclusive supercars for sale.One addition that can be made on the customer’s own accord is the VelociRaptor 600 twin-turbo upgrade, which will take the truck’s power over 600 hp. Let’s be honest, if you’re going to add two more wheels to your truck, you might as well add some more power as well. This upgrade also adds stainless steel exhaust, upgraded intercooler and plumbing, and a retuned ECU. Additional options available to owners include Brembo brakes, wheels, tires, LED lighting, interior options, electronic upgrades and armoring. Yes, you can seriously armor your 6°—6 Raptor. As far as pricing goes, Hennessey will turn a 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor into a VelociRaptor 6°—6 for $295,000 (that price includes the base model Raptor 4-door truck). For the twin-turbo VelociRaptor 600 upgraded, that’ll cost an additional $22,500. That being said, this is the best price you’ll see for a six-wheeled truck of this magnitude. If you’re interested, the truck can be ordered through Hennessey Performance or through select Hennessey/Ford dealers.

Hennessey Venom GT Just Became The Fast Convertible In Th...

Back in 2014, Hennessey Performance made history when the Hennessey Venom GT clocked a record-breaking top speed of 270.4 mph. To mark their 25th Anniversary, Hennessey Performance is breaking records again.At the Naval Air Station in Lemoore, Texas, The Hennessey Venom GT Spyder charged at a top speed of 265.6 mph down the runway, setting the world record for an open-top sports car. The new record tops that of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Vitesse set in 2013 at 254 mph. The time was verified Racelogic, an independent testing firm.Venom GT Stats Engine: 7.0-liter V8 Horsepower: 1451 bhp Torque: 1287 lb-ft 0-60: 2.4 seconds In commemoration of their 25th Anniversary and the newly established record, Hennessey, "plans to offer a limited run of three 'World Record Edition' Venom GT Spyder's" according to a press release. Did Hennessey Just Break The World Speed Record...Again?

Hennessey has uploaded a video that not only celebrates their 25th anniversary, but also something else incredible: a new world speed record.Back on February 24, 2014 Hennessey Performance sent out a press release that states that their Venom GT had reached a top speed of 270.49, surpassing the 269.86 mph sprint of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.“Building and validating our Venom GT as the world’s fastest has been a long journey and a lot of hard work," said John Hennessey, Hennessey Performance founder and president, in the press release. But as President Kennedy once so eloquently said, ‘We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.’ As a result, we have built a better car and a better team at Hennessey Performance (HPE).”Now, a little over two years after the previous record, Hennessey is teasing an all-new record. What speed did it hit? We won't find out until April 11, so be sure to check back!

Hennessey 665 hp Denali Runs 0-60 mph in 4.5 Seconds

Last week we revealed part of the mystery as to how John Hennessey is able to transform the new Cadillac CTS-V into the HPE 1000. A major component of the system is his new 2.9-liter supercharger, which can be utilized across the board on GM’s latest V8 engines.To show off the potency of the new blower, his team installed it into a new GMC Denali and the results speak for themselves. In an email sent by the tuner yesterday, November 25, Hennessey Performance showed off the ability for the big SUV to reach 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds. Taking into consideration that the curb weight of a fully loaded Denali is somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,500 lbs, this is quite an achievement.The two videos included in this article were uploaded earlier this year and late last year, and they both show the SUV's acceleration in action.Listen as Mr. Hennessey brings the engine speed up against the torque converter, and with a hint of wheelspin it rockets off the line. Filmed at their own closed drag strip in Sealy, Texas, the big GMC rockets through the ¼ mile in only 13.1 seconds with a trap speed of 110 mph. This is faster than most performance cars, and quicker than many supercars of only a few years ago. Thanks to 650 hp and 658 lb-ft of torque, you will have more power than you will ever need.The package includes professional installation and calibration by his engineers, and is backed by a 3yr/36,000 warranty.
