Widely recognized as a common misconception, but unfortunate in some instances, hypercars do not always spend their lives tucked away in collections where odometer anxiety outweighs the thrill of actually driving and enjoying the experience firsthand. Even though history has and continues to prove that these ultra-exclsuive cars do gain notoriety and soar in value among the collector car world, it's the new breed of hypercar leaders, the people whose cars actually bear their names, that push and motivate owners to get behind the wheel.
Christian Von Koenigsegg is one of those innovative believers that hypercars are best enjoyed on the track and open roads where they belong, which is why he and the brand continue to organize The Koenigsegg Ghost Squadron Tour.
Gaining popularity among owners since 2016, previously rebranded from the Koenigsegg Owners Tour, the Koenigsegg Ghost Squadron Tour is celebrating its tenth year, kicking off its 2026 event in Mallorca, Spain. The annual rally features a week of fuel-driven festivities geared toward Koenigsegg hypercars and their owners, curating scenic drives, time on the track, and other luxurious experiences along the way.
This year, with Christian Von Koenigsegg leading the pack in his limited-production CC850, more than 20+ cars have joined the Ghost Squadron Tour. It's almost a rolling timeline of the marque’s history, bringing together iconic hypercars like the Agera, Regera, Jesko, Jesko Absolut, and CC850, along with all their bespoke, performance variants.
Starting off day one with a gathering at the marina in Mallorca, the group set off on a scenic convoy across the island’s most beautiful routes, with stops in Es Guix and Port de Sóller. And while you may lose sight of the fleet when they enter the twisting roads of the mountains, you most definitely can hear them as their monstrous V8s roll through the gears.
