Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Sets New Production Car Top Speed Records Over the Quarter-Mile and Half-Mile

Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Sets Multiple Production Car Records

Koenigsegg’s Factory test driver Markus Lundh piloted the Jesko Absolut to two new all-out production car top speed records on June 6, 2026, at the brand’s home airfield in Ängelholm, Sweden, the former Swedish Air Force facility where the hypercar maker has operated since 2003. The results were verified by Racelogic using industry-standard VBOX equipment.  Over the quarter-mile, the Absolut recorded 8.54 seconds at 190 mph. Over the half-mile, it ran 12.76 seconds at 232 mph, extending the standing half-mile top speed record of 13.27 seconds at 232 mph and the 0-250-0 mph world record it reclaimed previously, both of which duPont REGISTRY covered in May last year. Both represent the fastest top speeds ever recorded for a production car at those distances, and mark the first time in history a production car has exceeded 300 km/h or 186 mph over the quarter-mile. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Christian von Koenigsegg (@heycvk)   For context, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X set a quarter-mile elapsed time of 8.67 seconds at 159 mph in January 2026, on a prepped surface with all-wheel drive. The runs were completed on an unprepped surface, on production tires, with power going to the rear wheels only, removing the variables that allow most record attempts to be questioned on grounds of preparation or specification.  What makes this latest run particularly notable is how new software advancements made the records possible, and Koenigsegg is rolling them out via over-the-air update to all Jesko Absolut owners. Every car in the fleet receives the same capability that produced these results without a factory visit.  The Jesko Absolut was introduced at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show with a theoretical top speed claim of 330 mph, the highest stated figure ever announced for a production car. That number remains unverified in a controlled record attempt, but the Ängelholm results demonstrate that the car's real-world performance at speed is not disconnected from its engineering ambitions.  Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 producing 1,600 horsepower on E85, routed through Koenigsegg's proprietary Light Speed Transmission, a nine-speed unit capable of shifting to any gear simultaneously rather than sequentially. Production is limited to 125 units, all of which will now receive this software update. View All Koenigseggs For Sale  Images: Koenigsegg

By Tyler Rampersaud –  January 21, 2026

Mansory Transforms The Koenigsegg Jesko

Going beyond the description of “hypercars,” Koenigsegg’s “megacars” are, in many ways, in a league of their own. Revolutionary engineering, ultra-luxurious craftsmanship, stunning design, and ultra-exclusive production runs have made Koenigsegg one of the most prestigious names in the automotive world, with vehicles that rank among the highest echelons of automotive performance. One of those is, of course, the Jesko, which was named after founder Christian von Koenigsegg’s father, and boasts over 1,280 horsepower from its twin-turbo V8 engine that goes through Koenigsegg’s “Light Speed Transmission.” The performance and exclusivity of the Jesko are virtually unmatched in the automotive industry. However, Mansory, a specialist in transforming and individualizing the most exclusive, luxurious, and desirable exotic cars, luxury cars, and supercars, has unveiled a transformation of the Koenigsegg Jesko. Known for its use of carbon fiber, the Mansory customization for the Jesko is an all-carbon fiber aerodynamic kit for the hypercar, adding Mansory’s signature style and ultra-luxurious edge to what is already an ultra-exclusvie hypercar. Undoubtedly one of the most ultra-exclusive creations in today’s automotive world, Mansory’s transformation of the Koenigsegg Jesko is a monumental new addition to Mansory’s portfolio and to the hypercar lexicon. O'Gara Coach Delivers Its Very First 1,600HP Koenigsegg J...

The monumental occasion marks the official kickoff of future Jesko deliveries. Throughout automotive history, countless cars have come and gone, but only a select few rise above the moment to become timeless icons. In rare cases, their impact is felt before a single mile is driven, leaving a mark long before they ever touch the road. This proves to be the case for Koenigsegg and its ever-promising Jesko series, which carries Christian von Koenigsegg’s torch as the successor to the legendary Agera. Originally announced back in 2019 at the Geneva International Motor Show, bearing the name of Christian’s father, Koenigsegg slotted just 125 chassis for production, including both a track-focused Attack and top-speed Absolut version. Today, Koenigsegg Jesko owners from around the world are celebrating as some are beginning to receive calls that their dream specs have landed all the way from Ängelholm, Sweden. The team at O’Gara Coach and Koenigsegg Beverly Hills is pleased to join in on the celebrations, recently taking to Instagram to showcase its very first Koenigsegg Jesko Attack delivery to a very special client. Engineered for the track with weight savings and downforce in mind, the Jesko Attack features additional aero upgrades that give it a distinct and sinister style in comparison to its high-speed counterpart, the Jesko Absolut. With a practically limitless color palette to choose from, the owner chose a stunning Imperial Blue Metallic finish that perfectly highlights the Jesko Attack's low-slung look and the way it channels air to achieve over 3,000 lbs of downforce. Natural aluminum centerlock wheels provide the surface traction while bright orange carbon ceramic supply the stopping power, adding a touch of contrast to the already-impressive configuration. Inside is where Koenigsegg’s refinement and focus on quality come into play, starting with a cabin tub construction completely from carbon fiber to ensure strength, stability, and safety while defying the laws of speed. One-piece carbon bucket seats come beautifully layered in Night Sky Blue leather with a contrasting Lava Orange diamond stitching, tying the entire design together and bringing the owner’s dream to reality. The Koenigsegg Jesko Attack packs a serious punch thanks to its twin‑turbocharged 5.0‑liter V8 that pushes out up to 1,600 horsepower on E85 fuel. Paired with Koenigsegg’s advanced 9‑speed Light Speed Transmission, which swaps gears faster than you can blink, the Jesko Attack launches with blistering acceleration and impressive top‑end speed potential. Performance stats are jaw‑dropping, including a sub‑2.5 second 0–60 mph time, a top speed rumored well north of 300 mph under the right conditions, and a power‑to‑weight ratio that puts it in top-tier territory. Koenigsegg Teases Track-Focused Hypercar Ahead Of June 25...

Over the weekend, Koenigsegg released a pair of teasers of what appears to be a more extreme variant of its already extreme Jesko. To recap, the Jesko, which debuted in 2019 and priced from $3 million, is available across two production variants: the wingless Absolut, optimised for straight line-speed (Koenigsegg claims over 300 mph), and the Attack, which is designed to take on the race track.  Going by the teasers, the model set to debut on June 25 could be an even more track-focused variant of the Swedish hypercar. The first teaser reveals a rear wing, which bears a striking resemblance to the Jesko Attack’s dual-plane spoiler, suggesting that this variant could be all about lap times.  The standard Jesko already produces 1,400 kg (3,086 pounds) of downforce at 170 mph. Other interesting details seen in the teaser include a vertically mounted stop lamp and a flush-mounted NACA duct upfront, ideal for cooling components like the radiator and brakes, with minimal aerodynamic disturbance.  While the exact performance numbers are still under wraps, the current Jesko packs a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 1,280 horsepower (1,600 horsepower on E85) and 1,106 pound-feet of torque. Paired with Koenigsegg’s 9-Speed Light Speed Transmission, power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels.  Now, with this upcoming new track-oriented variant, expect lower top speed but faster lap times. Could this be a stripped-out, limited-run special with more grip, more cooling, and a chassis dialed in for surgical precision, perhaps dubbed the Jesko Attack+? Whatever Koenigsegg has in store, we’ll find out in a few days from now. Watch this space. Watch Koenigsegg's 1,280HP Jesko Attack Set A New Lap Rec...

Renowned for engineering some of the fastest hypercars on the planet, Koenigsegg consistently sets new benchmarks with its commitment to pushing the boundaries of design, technology, and performance. Each model in their lineup of hand-crafted, multi-million dollar hypercars is an example of this relentless pursuit. This dedication to innovation ensures that Koenigsegg remains at the forefront of the hypercar market, continually evolving and challenging the limits of automotive performance. Of all the astonishing creations to come from the mind of founder Christian Von Koenigsegg, the all-new Jesko Attack stands out as a true track weapon that boasts incredible power and agility. Showcasing the capabilities of its newest production model, Koenigsegg recently took the Jesko Attack to the Gotland Ring in hopes of securing a new lap record. Stretching more than 4.5 miles, the Gotland Ring ranks among Europe's longer circuits. Its series of jumps and undulations pose challenges similar to the famed Nürburgring, but on a slightly shorter scale. During the test session, ambient temperatures hovered around 18°C, and the fuel utilized was standard pump gas with an EU rating of 98-octane, comparable to the 93-octane rating in the US. At the rear of the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack, a 1,280 horsepower twin-turbocharged V8 patiently awaited its opportunity to lay down some lap times. Test Driver Niklas Lilja revealed that he exerted the Jesko to about 90% of its capabilities, focusing not on setting records but on conducting vehicle testing and marketing initiatives. The previously fastest documented lap at Gotland Ring was clocked at 3:04.83 by a Porsche GT3RS MR. However, the Jesko, in its production configuration, shattered this record by completing the lap in just 2:56.97. This impressive feat was officially recorded and verified by RaceLogic. Koenigsegg Shows Off Its Naked Carbon Finish On The Agera...

Koenigsegg's unique Naked Carbon Finish (KNC) offers a revolutionary, ultra-lightweight carbon finish, combining aesthetics with durability. Koenigsegg operates as a leader in hypercar innovation, pushing the boundaries of design, technology, and performance throughout its growing lineup of multi-million dollar hypercars. One of the manufacturer's most celebrated achievements was the addition of its bespoke Naked Carbon Finish (KNC), a pioneering approach to carbon finishes that enhances both the aesthetic and functional aspects of its vehicles. Introduced 12 years ago with the Aircore Carbon wheels for the Agera, KNC stands out as a Koenigsegg exclusive, polishing the carbon down to its core through a specialized process. This technique leaves the carbon without any additional layers, distinguishing KNC from conventional finishes that add material. Over the years, KNC has demonstrated exceptional resistance to scratches and UV damage, setting a new standard in the hypercar industry. Today, Koenigsegg commemorates the introduction of KNC by sharing a spectacular photoshoot of three bare carbon examples on its Instagram page. Shot by Bleko (@blekoshots), the jaw-dropping lineup features an Agera RS, Regera, and Jesko Attack presented in matching Koenigsegg Naked Carbon finishes. While organizing all of Koenigsegg's most prominent hypercars proves to be challenging in itself, finding three specs that showcase the lightweight body design is truly unheard of. This innovative finish reduces weight by subtracting rather than adding material. The result is a lighter finish and an exquisite metallic sheen that is tactilely unique, being cold to the touch.
