For over 60 years, Lamborghini has contributed to the automotive world with some of the most desirable, beautiful, and exclusive cars. This year, Lamborghini is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its Miura, which is widely considered to be the first supercar, establishing the formula that we know supercars and hypercars for adopting today. In the Americas, which Automobili Lamborghini says is one of the most significant global markets for the manufacturer, a new CEO has been appointed, Christian Mastro.
He succeeds Andrea Baldi, who took on the role of CEO in 2021. After success as Interim CEO of Automobili Lamborghini America, Mastro has now been appointed as the CEO on a permanent basis. Working closely with Automobili Lamborghini’s global headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, Mastro’s role will be based in Lamborghini’s American headquarters, located in Reston, Virginia.
Mastro brings over two decades of experience in the global luxury automotive industry to his position as CEO of Automobili Lamborghini America, starting with the brand in 2004. After that, he served as General Manager of the APAC region from 2009 to 2013 for Automobili Lamborghini, and then held the EMEA Region Director position from 2013 to 2018. Between 2018 and 2021, Mastro worked closely with the current Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, Stephan Winklemann, as Commercial Director at Bugatti, and returned to Automobili Lamborghini as Marketing Director in 2021, overseeing important launches and events across the globe, including at Monterey Car Week and at Art Basel Miami.
