Lamborghini’s Manifesto Concept Steals the Show at Centro...

This past weekend, Lamborghini Centro Stile celebrated 20 years, and we did a comprehensive story highlighting some of the production models from the Audi-VW era. Lamborghini’s in-house design center has been responsible for everything from the Murciélago LP640 and Aventador to the Revuelto, Huracán Sterrato, and Temarario. We also touched upon several concept cars and key design figures, including Walter De'silva, Filippo Perini, Luc Donckerwolke, and Mitja Borkert, Lamborghini's current design director, all of whom were instrumental in shaping the design direction over the past two decades. Image Source: Mitja Borkert This momentous occasion called for a celebration at the Lamborghini Museum in Sant'Agata Bolognese, and Mitja took to social media to reveal yet another design study. This is the Lamborghini Manifesto. Sitting alongside the recently unveiled hybridized Fenomeno and an original Countach, this wild concept is a roadster finished in a striking shade of yellow, with a midship layout and some pretty exaggerated proportions, massive wheels, and an aggressive carbon fiber diffuser, along with Lamborghini's signature Y-shaped motifs. Not much is known about the Manifesto at this point, but it serves as a look at where the brand is headed next. Watch this space. Lamborghini Centro Stile at 20: The Studio Behind Every M...

2025 represents a historic year for Lamborghini. The Italian marque is celebrating 10 years of Polo Storico, the brand’s in-house restoration division. We have extensively covered it since January this year. Just last week, we also touched upon the iconic Diablo turning 35.  Now, there’s yet another anniversary worth your attention: the 20th anniversary of Centro Stile, the in-house design center that has defined every single Lamborghini in the modern era. Design has been an integral part of the Lamborghini DNA since October 2025, and what initially started as an Audi-backed idea in the early 2000s has since become a model for the entire supercar industry. “The Lamborghini Centro Stile is an integral driver of our brand.” - Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini’s Chairman and CEO. Walter de'Silva Filippo Perini and Luc Donckerwolke Mitja Borkert Before Centro Stile, Lamborghini worked with established styling houses like Bertone and Touring, producing icons like the Miura, the Countach, which was one of the cars that defined the wedge era, and the Diablo, another one of Marcello Gandini’s all-time great designs.  While those collaborations cemented the signature extreme Lamborghini supercar design aesthetic and extreme proportions, the company lacked full control. That changed after the subsequent acquisition of Lamborghini by Audi, under the Volkswagen Group. In 2003, when Walter de’Silva, the then head of Audi design, pushed for an internal studio. Come 2005, and Centro Stile was up and running at Lamborghini’s HQ in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The first generation of Centro Stile leadership included Luc Donckerwolke, who brought us the Murciélago and the Gallardo (a.k.a the OG baby Lambo), cars that redefined Lamborghini for the modern age. Donckerwolke’s work included final variants of the aforementioned Diablo, following which the brand moved away from the soft proportions of thetoward cleaner, sharper surfaces. Other cars and concepts from this era included the 4-door Lamborghini Estoque concept and the fighter-jet-inspired Reventón, a car that laid the foundation for the Aventador. It showed that while he treated Lamborghini’s heritage with reverence, he wasn’t afraid to modernize the Raging-Bull brand.  After Donckerwolke came Filippo Perini, who pushed Centro Stile into overdrive. His team was small, with just seven designers, but their output was significant, responsible for the aviation-inspired Y-shaped Motifs and hexagon that we know today.  The Aventador, launched in 2011, was the first Lamborghini designed entirely in-house, and it established the complex, angular design language that still defines the brand. It was followed by the successor to the Gallardo in 2013, the Huracán. Perini also oversaw the stealthy track-only Sesto Elemento, Veneno, and Urus concept, each one previewing materials, technologies, and themes that carried into subsequent production models. By 2016, Mitja Borkert took over, doubling the studio’s size and broadening its reach. Under his leadership, Centro Stile finalized S, SVJ variants of the Aventador, the Huracán Performante, and now popular Urus SUV, and launched the hybrid Revuelto, Lamborghini’s current V12 flagship, and the more recent Temarario. He also worked on concepts like the Terzo Millennio, developed with MIT, which explored carbon nanotechnologies and supercapacitors. Centro Stile also worked on the SC20 by Squadra Corse in 2021. Building an in-house design center was not a cost-saving move; it was a bet on brand independence. Over 20 years, Lamborghini has invested heavily in CAD systems, clay-modeling labs, digital 3D printing, and even AI-based workflows today. These tools speed up design while cutting iteration cycles, ensuring that Lamborghini can pivot faster than competitors. “We are looking at AI, of course, to see how that can work for us, with the final decision always a human one.” - Mitja Borkert, Head of Design, Automobili Lamborghini. These days, though, every design decision has to also pass and comply with stricter parameters like pedestrian impact rules, hybrid packaging requirements, and strict emissions targets. What this means is that design and packaging continue to remain challenging. It’s not about retaining the aggressive proportions, but you also need to consider other parameters, battery cooling, hybrid airflow, and lightweight safety structures.  Having said that, the brand’s Ad Personam program takes customization to the next level, as we saw earlier this week when Mitja Borkert himself showed off three possible variations of the limited-run Fenomeno. As for Centro Stile, it is a strategic engine for Lamborghini that continues to ensure continuity across eras, while simultaneously experimenting with radical ideas. Its influence has also expanded into other lifestyle arenas, including yachts, architecture, high-end speaker systems, racing simulators, and fashion partnerships, further extending the Lamborghini brand’s reach. 20 years on, the studio has written Lamborghini’s design rulebook and, according to Borkert, is already focused on the next two decades. As a brand that is known for being a trend-setter in the supercar world, we can’t wait to see what they have in store. Whatever Lamborghini shows next, whether hybrid, electric, or something in between, will come from a design philosophy rooted in Centro Stile’s ability to question the status quo while staying unmistakably Lamborghini. Lamborghini’s Design Chief Previews Three Distinct Looks ...

The Lamborghini Fenomeno made headlines when it broke cover at Monterey Car Week back in August, and we were on site at The Quail to watch Sant’Agata’s latest flagship steal the spotlight. Limited to just 29 units, we knew about this upcoming V12-hybrid as early as June this year. The Fenomeno’s naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12, when combined with 3 electric motors, produces 1,065 horsepower, making it the most powerful Lamborghini ever.  However, the Fenomeno’s design is a highlight and is one that is now reaching beyond the road. Just last week at the Monaco Yacht Show, the Fenomeno’s sharp ethos carried into the Tecnomar speedboat, a reminder that Lamborghini design translates across several media. Now, the story has taken another turn as Mitja Borkert, Design Director at Centro Stile Lamborghini, has shared fresh Fenomeno imagery on his Instagram account, giving us a preview and first-hand look at what each of the aforementioned 29 cars could look like. By Charles Bradley Image Source: @mitjaborkert The launch car featured Giallo Crius. Now, Borkert previewed three variations: The latest flavor shown features Bianco Monoceros, a crisp white shade that highlights the Fenomeno’s angular bodywork. A second concept that pops in Arancio Egon, which is a metallic orange that feels right at home in Lamborghini’s extroverted catalog. The third color is Blu Acrux, a cooler, stealthier (owing to the matte paint), and more measured, but no less aggressive finish. Ad Personam, Lamborghini’s in-house personalization program, makes this possible. It has quietly become one of the Italian marque’s most powerful tools, as it allows you to go beyond just paint and stitching, by offering bespoke finishes, one-off materials, and design elements that make each commission unique. The Fenomeno takes that philosophy to the extreme, as every example is a blank canvas with endless permutations and combinations, and no two will be the same. If you are one of the lucky few to have secured one of the 29 allocations, you’ll be commissioning something truly special and bespoke, further adding a layer of exclusivity. This is one of several key parameters considered in the lucrative collector and auction car market. Watch this space. Lamborghini Day UK Featured Fenomeno Display, Temerario D...

Lamborghini brings its supercars for a celebration in the UK. Known for representing Italian supercar excellence since it was first established in 1963, Lamborghini’s current lineup features some of the most dramatic and ambitious representations of its ability to combine performance, striking design, sumptuous luxury and exclusivity. These include hybrid supercars like the Temerario and the Revuelto which boast incredible amounts of power and stunning performance, as well as the new hybrid Urus SE Super SUV, and the recently-revealed Fenomeno, a few-off limited edition of which only 29 will be made. Showcasing many of those models and icons from Lamborghini’s past, the celebrated manufacturer gathered over 300 guests and their cars in the United Kingdom for Lamborghini Day UK, a gathering that took place at Millbrook Proving Ground. There, guests got to test drive the Temerario on the proving ground’s track, and various Lamborghini models from past and present were put proudly on display. Lamborghini Centro Stile occupied a ‘design center’ area of the vent, where guests could see Lamborghini designers sketch and get an up close and personal look at the process of how a Lamborghini comes to life from its genesis as pen on paper. In celebration of the new few-off Fenomeno, a special display included Lamborghini’s other few-offs: the Sesto Elemento, the Centenario, the Sián, and the Countach LPI 800-4. Lamborghini Polo Storico showcased one of its proudest restoration projects, a Countach LP 400 that was restored in 2021, and the Polo Storico team was present to explain the extensive process of restoration and historical preservation to event guests. Many of the brands that Lamborghini collaborates with on various lifestyle products and other projects were present, and all together, Lamborghini UK was a once-in-a-lifetime event for any Lamborghini enthusiast with a stunning display of historical and present-day excellence. This 2004 Lamborghini Murciélago Has Over 100,000 Miles ...

The definition of a true driver's car. While many supercars spend most of their lives tucked away in climate-controlled garages, only rolled out for the occasional short drive to keep the mileage in check, a few owners flip that script entirely. For them, it’s less about preserving value and more about squeezing every bit of enjoyment from a car, treating the odometer as a badge of honor rather than a number to fear. The team at Loren Automotive Group is proud to embrace this passion for driving by offering this 101,990-mile 2004 Lamborghini Murciélago as part of its inventory of exotics for sale on duPont REGISTRY. The Lamborghini Murciélago holds a special place in the brand’s history, serving as the flagship V12 supercar that carried Lamborghini into the 2000s. Launched in 2001 as the successor to the Diablo, the Murciélago was the first new Lamborghini developed under Audi’s ownership, bringing much-needed refinement without dulling the brand’s spirit. By 2004, it was already cementing itself as a poster car for a new generation, combining an outrageous design with serious performance. This particular Murciélago takes that spirit of individuality and turns it up a notch with a professional rear-wheel-drive conversion, transforming the all-wheel-drive Lamborghini into a more visceral and engaging driver’s car. Its exterior is equally impressive, featuring a full SV body kit with carbon accents that channel the more aggressive styling cues of the Murciélago SV. Finished with OEM details, the kit gives the car a sharper edge while paying homage to one of Lamborghini’s most iconic variants. Step inside and the legacy continues with a driver-focused cabin incorporating Italian flair and modern upgrades. While Lamborghini’s interiors of the era leaned toward minimalism, this Murciélago keeps its focus on function. Carbon fiber trim and sport bucket seats emphasize weight savings and performance intent, while Alcantara and leather deliver the tactile feel enthusiasts expect from a flagship Lamborghini. It’s a space that remains true to the Murciélago’s mission of connecting the driver directly to the heart of the bull. Of course, the centerpiece of this car is what’s hiding under the engine cover, a naturally aspirated 6.2L V12 paired with Lamborghini’s E-Gear 6-speed transmission. This Murciélago features a Carbon-Kevlar clutch, engine-out serviced at 78,000 miles with around 50% life remaining, designed to last three times longer than the factory part. Add to that a Sprint Booster and a straight-pipe exhaust, and the result is a sound and driving experience that borders on unfiltered chaos in the best possible way. With 101,990 miles on the odometer and an extensive service history, this Murciélago proves it was built to be driven, not stored. Priced at $194,000, it offers a rare mix of V12 performance, rear-wheel-drive dynamics, and SV-inspired styling, an iconic Lamborghini with an enthusiast’s touch. View Listing

Automobili Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group Present ...

Lamborghini is back on the open ocean with an all-new vessel. Embarking on a journey that would ultimately lead it off the racetrack and into the ocean's open waters, Automobili Lamborghini first partnered with The Italian Sea Group in 2021 to launch a seaworthy counterpart alongside the Sián FKP 37. Almost 5 years later, Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group are back at the shipyard to unveil the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT. Premiering at the Monaco Yacht Show, the 101-foot yacht represents the full spirit of Lamborghini and its focus on performance, innovation, and bold Italian design. The collaboration delivers a one-of-a-kind experience for owners who expect precision, speed, and aesthetic perfection both on land and at sea. With sleek, angular lines inspired by Lamborghini's few-off Fenomeno and a helm station mirroring the hybrid V8 Temerario, the yacht brings Sant'Agata Bolognese to the open waters. The exterior design of the Tecnomar for Lamborghini is best defined as automotive-inspired nautical styling. Its launch livery in Giallo Crius highlights the yacht's aggressive silhouette, while front and rear lights directly reference the Fenomeno. Every detail, from aerodynamic curves to functional elements, reflects Lamborghini's design philosophy. Interiors follow, incorporating signature elements like hexagons, clean lines, and the "Y"-shape motif, with stitching, colors, and textures echoing the brand's supercars and hypercars. The yacht can host 8–9 guests and three crew members, ensuring that even extended voyages remain luxurious and effortless. Beyond design, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT delivers serious performance. Powered by three MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines and paired with three surface propellers, the yacht achieves a top speed of 45 knots and cruises at 35 knots. The total output reaches 7,600 horsepower, and it is supported by dual 35 kW generators for efficiency and reliability. Being at the helm produces the same visceral thrill as driving a supercar, where tactile controls, ergonomic design, and intuitive navigation converge to create endless memories. The Tecnomar 101FT is a floating statement of Italian craftsmanship, supercar aesthetics, and ultra-luxury lifestyle. Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, emphasizes that the project represents a natural synergy between the brands, uniting clients who share a passion for racetracks and the open sea. Set to debut in full scale in late 2027, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini continues the evolution of Lamborghini on the water. All Lamborghinis For Sale Source: Automobili Lamborghini

Lamborghini Marks 10 Years of Polo Storico With New Herit...

If you follow duPont REGISTRY closely, you should be aware that Lamborghini is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Polo Storico in 2025, and we’ve covered this milestone extensively throughout the year. From the celebration at I.C.E. St. Moritz to our “Day in the Life of a Polo Storico Technician,” we’ve documented how Lamborghini is honoring its heritage.  To sample the passion of Polo Storico, we also had the chance to get behind the wheel of a classic Diablo and a 400GT in our exclusive drive feature through the picturesque Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, and dedicated an exclusive piece in our August print edition (No. 483 ). Now, Lamborghini is adding a new dimension to the anniversary celebrations with a series of short films. " width="680"> For those unaware, Polo Storico was established back in 2015 as the Italian marque’s official heritage arm. From the onset, the mission was clear: safeguard the archives, oversee restorations, and certify authenticity of classic Lamborghiniss, and in just a decade, Polo Storico has handled some of the most significant cars in Lamborghini’s history.  Restorations have ranged from early Miuras that once competed in period racing, to ultra-rare Countach variants, and even the 1971 Countach LP 500 prototype that was faithfully rebuilt from the ground up for the 2021 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.  Coming back to the films, they highlight the four pillars of Polo Storico: the Historical Archive, the Committee of Experts, Restoration, and Certification of Authenticity. Each short dives into how Lamborghini approaches heritage. The archive is a working resource that provides original build sheets, exact paint codes, and material samples; all critical for restoring a Miura or Countach to the condition it left Sant’Agata decades ago. Now, if you’re an owner or a collector, this level of detail matters because a car with Polo Storico certification can command 15 to 20 percent more at auction, compared to a similar car without documentation. That difference in value alone proves that authenticity and provenance are often just as important as the mileage. The films also show how restorations happen in practice, where craftsmen still predominantly employ traditional hand techniques, while relying on digital tools allow them to expedite and replicate parts and components that are no longer in production.  Think about a gearbox casing for something like a Jarama, Urraco, or Espada, which might be extremely difficult to source today. Polo Storico can recreate it to exact factory specs. Lamborghini claims that this combination of old-world skill and modern technology ensures that every restored car feels, sounds, and drives as intended. After showing up at Villa d'Este, the celebration tour that began at Pebble Beach moved to Lamborghini Day events in the UK and Japan, and will finish at Auto e Moto d’Epoca in Bologna this October. As for these films, they show that Lamborghini takes its heritage as seriously as its future, and if you own or dream of owning a classic Lambo, would you trust anyone but Polo Storico to bring any old-school Raging Bull back to life?
