Lamborghini Squadra Corse Teases Temerario GT3

Lamborghini Squadra Corse has dropped another teaser of its upcoming Temerario GT3. We’ve known about the track-bred variant since last November, when the Italian marque first shared a sketch with interesting details, including an aggressive front splitter and a giant swan-neck wing. Subsequently, more details like the 2026 launch date at Daytona were shared on Lamborghini Talk back in April. This latest teaser doesn’t reveal much besides a garage door lifting and a Temerario hiding in darkness with its sleek headlights on. The short clip also shows flashes of a green wrap on the carbon fiber body work and some curbside action on the track. The post reads: ‘Gone before the blink of an eye. What is it? Stay tuned.’ View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lamborghini Squadra Corse (@lamborghinisc) Looking back, Lamborghini’s GT3 legacy began with the Gallardo GT3, things really took off with the V10-powered Huracán GT3 co-developed with Dallara. Its successors, the EVO in 2019 and the EVO2 in 2022, delivered global race wins at iconic venues like Daytona, Sebring, and SPA. The Temerario GT3 will be the brand’s latest customer race car and will replace the long-serving GT3 EVO2. Underneath the aggressive bodywork, expect the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8, seen in the road-going Temerario. But don’t expect the hybrid hardware to carry over as GT3 regulations prohibit the use of electric power.  This means that Lamborghini will ditch the 3.8 kWh battery pack and stick with internal combustion, which by itself produces 789 horsepower. In race-spec, expect the output to be toned down to 600 horsepower. Without the three-electric motors, power should be sent exclusively to the rear wheels. Set to be revealed sometime in 2025, the Temerario GT3 will be the turbo-charged contender that will take on the likes of Aston Martin, Porsche, and Ferrari in the popular GT3 class and serve as a precursor to the Temerario Super Trofeo. Bagnaia Vs. Imola: Here's What Two-Time MotoGP World Cham...

Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia is no stranger to speed. As a two-time MotoGP World Champion, the 28-year-old rider from Turin, Italy, has conquered some of the fastest circuits in the world on two wheels. Bagnaia claimed back-to-back world titles in the 2022 and 2023 seasons and has since racked up 40 wins and 78 podiums.  Having said that, nothing had prepared him for what was in store when he swapped his leathers for a carbon fiber seat, when he got to test one of Lamborghini’s latest supercars, the Temerario, out on the race track at Imola. More specifically, it was the lightweight Alleggerita model. What ties Bagnaia to Lamborghini is his lucky number 63 on his Ducati Desmosedici. 1963, of course, is the same year that Ferruccio Lamborghini founded the company in Sant’Agata Bolognese, and Bagnaia’s race number is a nod to the year that Automobili Lamborghini was born. “I’d never felt anything like it. Rather than a turbo, it almost feels like it has a naturally aspirated engine with an enhanced intake. I was astounded not only by that, but also by how easy it is to drive. It makes for a stunning combination.” - Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia Coming to the Temerario (Italian for ‘fierce and courageous’), it is Lamborghini’s successor to the much-loved V10-powered Huracán. Beyond the all-new styling, the Italian marque’s entry-level supercar packs a new formula under the skin, pairing a twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors for a combined 920 horsepower. Built upon the same high-performance electrified vehicle (HPEV) platform introduced on its current Revuelto flagship, the Temerario gets to 62 mph in 2.7 seconds and goes on to a top speed of 213 mph.  The Temerario is built for the modern era, lighter, sharper, and more advanced than its predecessor. While the plug-in hybrid architecture is a sign of keeping with the times, the V8 that screams to a motorcycle-like 10,000 rpm should keep fans happy. From the saddle of a Ducati to the cockpit of a Lamborghini, Bagnaia has now embraced two of Italy’s most iconic performance brands, making for a symbolic moment. If you want to see how the Temerario stacks up against a Ducati Panigale V4, the two went up against each other on the main straight at Imola, not too long ago. View all Lamborghinis and Ducatis for sale on duPont REGISTRY by clicking the links below. Lamborghini Drives Awareness & Funding For 'Movember' Wit...

In a breathtaking spectacle that brings together solidarity and luxury motorsport, 200 Lamborghinis decorated with Movember’s mustaches roared through Southern California, setting a new local record. This monumental event, led by Automobili Lamborghini's top executives, Stephan Winkelmann, and Andrea Baldi, was more than just a display of automotive grandeur; it was a drive for change. The record-breaking rally gathering stood out as a quest to boost awareness and support for men’s health issues under the banner of the renowned Movember charity. The 2023 Lamborghini x Movember "Bull Run" commenced at the iconic Santa Monica Pier and carved its path through the Malibu canyons, concluding at the vineyards of Calamigos Ranch. The rally marked the third annual alliance between the Italian automaker and the charity, as part of a series of global events throughout November. The fuel-driven event is not just about the striking visuals of a Lamborghini parade or the melodious symphony of their engines; it's a statement to the community's commitment to combating men’s health challenges, specifically prostate and testicular cancer, as well as mental health crises and suicide. Lamborghini's dedication to the cause was recognized, as Winkelmann acknowledged the significance of their involvement and the enthusiastic participation of their clientele, especially in their largest U.S. market, California. Movember, a movement that has been shaping men’s health since 2003, praised Lamborghini’s proactive engagement in this fundraising endeavor. Through this partnership, the organization continues to fund over 1,300 projects globally, dismantling barriers to health service accessibility and research for men. Donations ignited by the Lamborghini x Movember collaboration can be made through the automaker's fundraising platform, contributing to the ongoing battle for better health outcomes for men around the world. Lamborghini Polo Storico Displays The First Production 19...

Celebrating its 60th anniversary, Automobili Lamborghini is pulling out all the stops to make an impact at the 40th edition of the Auto e Moto d’Epoca classic car show. For the first time, the iconic Ialian supercar manufacturer will bring the event to its home province in Bologna, from October 26th to 29th. Lamborghini Polo Storico, the department dedicated to the brand's heritage, will be the main attraction, showcasing a lineup that includes two iconic models, the first Countach LP 400 produced and an Espada Series 3 under restoration. Started in 2015, Polo Storico is a reflection of Lamborghini's commitment to preserving its rich automotive and motorsport history. The department focuses on classic car restoration, certification of classic Lamborghini models up to the Diablo, and organizing events tailored for Lamborghini collectors. Their stand at the event promises a jaw-dropping display of Sant’Agata Bolognese’s automotive history, including the first-ever Countach LP 400. This red beauty, with chassis number 1120001, was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1973. The car became a myth of sorts until its rediscovery in Switzerland in 2003, where it was confirmed to be the original Countach after restoration works revealed its initial red paint underneath a layer of green. Also turning heads will be the Espada Series 3, chassis number 8824. Launched in 1968, the Espada was Lamborghini's first venture into the four-seater market. This particular Espada is still in the restoration phase and is presented as a work-in-progress, allowing attendees to see a masterpiece in the making. For those lucky enough to be in Bologna during the event, the Lamborghini stand is located in Hall 32 between the Costituzione and Aldo Moro entrances to Bologna Fiere. Doors open at 9 a.m., giving car enthusiasts and collectors a golden opportunity to immerse themselves in the legacy of one of the world's most storied car brands. Lamborghini And Ducati Team Up For Motorbike-Car Connecti...

Unveiling of prototype Vehicle to Vehicle technology that warns drivers of danger Automobili Lamborghini is steering safety forward by supporting Ducati's initiative on motorcycle-car connectivity. Debuted at Germany’s Lausitzring race track, the Demo Event organized by the Connected Motorcycle Consortium (CMC) showcased Ducati's latest updates in Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) communication technology. Since its start in 2016, CMC, with Ducati as an early adopter, has been committed to identifying the most high-risk scenarios for motorcyclists. Using this research, Ducati developed a prototype featuring an additional screen that displays warning signals to alert riders about upcoming dangers. Lamborghini maintained this research by providing a Urus SUV for case simulations, focusing on scenarios like obscured visibility and risky intersections. Three critical cases, IMA (Intersection Movement Assist), LTA (Left Turn Assist), and DNPW (Do Not Pass Warning), were tested. For instance, in the IMA case, if a motorbike and a car approach an intersection simultaneously, a warning signal pops up on the car's dashboard urging the driver to proceed cautiously. In the LTA and DNPW cases, similarly, the tech warns either the motorcyclist or the car driver based on who is attempting a maneuver like a turn or a pass. With this partnership, Lamborghini and Ducati are introducing technological innovation that sets new benchmarks for motorist and motorcyclist safety.
