The Final Aventador Pays Homage To The One-Off Lamborghin...

Lamborghini history is made and celebrated with the same car. Lamborghini has announced that the final Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae, and thus the final Aventador and final “pure” naturally aspirated V12-powered Lamborghini has rolled off the assembly line and is destined for the garage of a Swiss collector. However, if it’s even possible, this final Aventador has even more special attributes than just those. It’s an Aventador Ultimae Roadster, and it pays homage to a very specific and intriguing piece of early Lamborghini history. MUST READ: 7,342-Mile 1987 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV Downdraft Listed for Sale The car features a very specific and bespoke configuration, with an “Azzuro Flake” body color, accented by Grigio Liqueo and Nero Aldebaran, with an interior finished in Bianco Leda leather accented by Nero Aldebaran. The details of this color scheme are tailored to match a very special Lamborghini one-off, the Miura Roadster from 1968. The car, originally unveiled at the Carrozzeria Bertone stand at the Brussels Motor Show, was a roofless version of the Miura that was specifically designed and engineered to deliver performance and drivability in the open air. The car was then in the possession of the International Lead and Zinc Research Organization, where it was renamed the ZN 75 and showed the rust-protecting ability of zinc, which is still used in cars today. Eventually, the car was restored to its original look in 2008, and has served as the inspiration for the final Aventador and final pure V12 Lamborghini. The Last New Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae Roadster Ends ...

After over a decade, it’s officially over. It’s been talked about for quite a long time, but the moment has finally come when we have no choice but to move on from one of the world’s favorite supercar icons. The Lamborghini Aventador, and with it, the “pure” naturally aspirated V12-powered Lamborghini as a whole have come to an end, as Lamborghini has announced that the final Aventador Ultimae, officially a Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Roadster in a light blue color specially chosen through Ad Personam for a customer in Switzerland is rolling off the assembly line. MUST READ: Lamborghini Looks Back On the Murcielago’s Contributions To The Brand’s V12 Legacy The model served since 2011 as Lamborghini’s flagship offering, and it was, is, and will now forever be the pinnacle of Lamborghini’s pure V12 performance with incredible top speeds, lightning-quick 0-60 times, and innovation throughout its lifecycle, from the first Aventador, to the Roadster, to the SuperVeloce, to the Aventador S, SVJ, and most recently the Ultimae. With a nimble, lightweight structure, immense power, all-wheel drive, and aerodynamics, suspension, and technology throughout dedicated to performance, the Aventador has remained one of the greatest supercars of our time, and that’s proven by the fact that over 10,000 Aventadors have been sold, with the total number being greater than the sum of all the previous Lamborghini V12 models. If the farewell of the Aventador is anything like that of the Murcielago, we can soon look forward to an even greater replacement. View All Lamborghinis For Sale Source: Lamborghini

Everything You Need To Know About The Lamborghini Aventador

With over a decade spent as Lamborghini’s flagship model, the Aventador built up quite the résumé. It’s in the process of taking its final bow, but thankfully the story of the Lamborghini Aventador has a happy ending. After more than a decade in production, the Lamborghini Aventador has been an object of desire and admiration for just about the entire car world. Its naturally aspirated V12 power, all-wheel drive, and stunning looks that have remained fresh, modern, and even futuristic to this day have made it a car that will live on in history as one of the greatest, most iconic supercars of its time. The Aventador had a long history, and in its time it had plenty of iterations and incredible special editions and one-offs, as well as rare cars that used the Aventador as a basis to build an entirely new model. Here, we’ll take a look at the entire history of the Aventador, from the original, all the way to the final Ultimae and the rare cars based off of the Aventador that give us a look at Lamborghini’s possible future. Lamborghini Aventador Production Variants Aventador The original Aventador sent shockwaves through the automotive world. Tasked with the responsibility of replacing the legendary Murcielago, the Aventador had to live up to the high expectations that the Murcielago left behind, and it surely lived up to them. The Aventador’s all-wheel drive and naturally aspirated V12 engine gave it the incredible performance to put it at the highest echelons of the supercar world, with an incredible 0-60 time that was under 3 seconds, and a quarter-mile time that rivals the greatest cars on the road. Along with that was the fact that the Aventador was one of the most comfortable and luxurious Lamborghinis yet, helping it not only carry the Lamborghini legacy but grow it. MSRP: $379,700HP: 690 horsepowerTORQUE: 509 lb/ft0-60: 2.9 seconds1/4 MILE: 10.5 seconds @ 137 mphPRODUCTION NUMBER: 2,593 Lamborghini Aventador Price, Specs, Photos & Review Aventador Roadster As we came to know with just about every Lamborghini roadster before it, the performance, luxury, and style of a Lamborghini go wonderfully with the wind in your hair. Featuring a removable two-piece carbon-fiber roof, the Aventador Roadster was easily able to let the sky in as you drove. Today, it remains one of the greatest open-topped cars to drive in the world, as even without the roof, it maintained the original Aventador’s incredible performance capability and prowess, as well as its composure on the road for varying driving situations. MSRP: $441,600HP: 690 horsepowerTORQUE: 509 lb/ft0-60: 2.9 seconds1/4 MILE: 10.5 seconds @ 137 mphPRODUCTION NUMBER: 1,075 Aventador Superveloce How do you get better than a mid-engined, V12-powered, all-wheel-drive supercar? You make it faster, of course. That’s what Lamborghini did to the Aventador when the Aventador Superveloce was introduced. It took the incredible DNA of the Aventador and squeezed even more performance potential out of it, by further improving the engine, and taking anything out of the interior and the car itself that wouldn’t contribute to incredible performance. While the luxurious Lamborghini quality remains, you can see the exposed carbon fiber monocoque of the car in various places, and the Lamborghini Aventador SV is just as fast as it looks. MSRP: $494,000HP: 740 horsepowerTORQUE: 507 lb/ft0-60: 2.8 seconds1/4 MILE: 10.5 seconds @ 141 mphPRODUCTION NUMBER: 600 Why You Should Buy A Lamborghini Aventador SV Aventador Superveloce Roadster Over 100 pounds lighter than the standard Aventador Roadster, the Superveloce Roadster blended the very best of both worlds of the Aventador when it was released, the unique experience of a roadster, and the laser-focused performance of the Superveloce. Even the engine, the beating heart and one of the most impressive components in the Aventador, wasn’t safe from being improved when given the SV treatment. It’s both lighter and more powerful, and in a roadster with no soundproofing and a carbon fiber monocoque, that’s an easy difference to feel. MSRP: $530,075HP: 740 horsepowerTORQUE: 507 lb/ft0-60: 2.9 seconds1/4 MILE: 10.5 seconds @ 137 mphPRODUCTION NUMBER: 500 Aventador S The Lamborghini Aventador, just like any Lamborghini, was never a car known to rest on its laurels, which is why the Aventador S was introduced in 2017, updating and evolving the Aventador to make it an even greater supercar than it already was. With the Aventador S, four-wheel steering was introduced to the model, along with LDVA suspension control, and a refreshed design inside and out, making for an Aventador that was more capable and configurable, and not to mention more powerful than ever. MSRP: $417,826HP: 730 horsepowerTORQUE: 509 lb/ft0-60: 2.9 seconds1/4 MILE: 10.5 seconds @ 137 mphPRODUCTION NUMBER: ~ 2,000 Aventador S Roadster While the roadster variant of the Aventador S might not be as much of a performer as its coupe counterpart, there’s no way to deny that the formula of an open-top, mid-engined, V12 supercar that has mechanically identical improvements to the Aventador S is a winning one. The Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster is one of the greatest examples of Lamborghini’s ability to beautifully combine both performance and luxury to make some of the greatest Italian supercars the world has ever known. Along with that, the Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva system, or ALA for short and the evolved LDVA 2.0 system help reduce drag by 1% and improve downforce by 40%, resulting in the SVJ breaking the record for production cars at the Nürburgring by setting a 6:44.97 lap time. MSRP: $515,000HP: 759 horsepowerTORQUE: 531 lb/ft0-60: 2.8 seconds1/4 MILE: 10.3 seconds @ 136 mphPRODUCTION NUMBER: 900 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Price, Specs, Photos & Review Aventador SVJ Roadster Imagine the performance of the SVJ, except this time, it’s alfresco. What you are imagining is the wind in your hair as you let 759 horsepower and all-wheel-drive take you from 0-60 in an uncompromised 2.8 seconds, and eventually get you to over 219 mph. The performance, dynamism, looks, and legend status of the Aventador SVJ is something found in only a handful of cars ever made, and once you add all of that into a roadster, it becomes even more special. The origin of the J is in the Miura Jota of 1970. In a convoluted twist, the name Jota comes from the Spanish pronunciation of the letter J, as the Miura Jota was built to conform to the regulations set out in the FIA’s Appendix J, which is all to say that the Aventador J was built with a racing spirit. Obviously, it lacks a roof, but also air conditioning and a radio (since neither would likely be able to do very much) to save weight. The car shown at Geneva was the only Aventador J to be produced, and it sold for an amazing $2.8 million. Lamborghini Gets the Aventador Ultimae On The Road

Lamborghini’s traditional V12 powertrain is going but it won’t go quietly. The Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae is the brand’s grand and loving way to say goodbye to the traditional naturally aspirated V12 engine that it was known for having in its cars for decades. As the future makes the environment more of a priority, the V12 engine has less of a place in it. However, that doesn’t make Lamborghini or its fans love it any less, and the Aventador Ultimae is a bittersweet ode to the very thing that served as a backbone for so much of Lamborghini history. MUST READ: The Story of a Man and His Dream Car, the Lamborghini Countach The Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae is limited to 350 coupes and 250 Ultimae Roadsters, and all of them have been sold. The final coupe was auctioned for $1.6 million, and it came along with an NFT created in collaboration with Steve Aoki and artist Krista Kim. With its legendary V12 engine, and its combination of the best attributes of both the SVJ and S models of the Lamborghini Aventador, it was bound to be a breathtaking car, and now that we see it on the road, that’s definitely confirmed. In this video from AutoTopNL, we get to have a look at what driving a Lamborghini Aventador S at over 200 miles per hour on the Autobahn is like.
