The product of two Italian icons.
There aren’t many cars that capture early-2000s Lamborghini energy quite like the Murciélago. It’s loud, a little unhinged, and proudly mechanical in a way that modern cars rarely allow themselves to be. Even today, it still looks like a poster car came to life with sharp edges, scissor doors, and an unmistakable V12 tucked just behind its shoulders. When Lamborghini partnered with Versace for an ultra-limited run of only 22 special edition Murciélagos (20 Coupes and 2 Roadsters), it was all about two Italian powerhouses speaking and incorporating the same design language into one of the most recognized supercars ever created.

This 2007 Murciélago LP640 Versace Edition is one of the clearest examples of that partnership, presented by the team at Sigma Auto as part of its extensive inventory of exotics for sale on duPont REGISTRY. Finished in Balloon White from the factory, it has a quiet presence at first glance until you start spotting the details that set it apart. The black Versace-pattern graphics running down each door feel like a signature instead of a decal. Gloss-black wheels and exposed carbon bits around the engine bay remind you that this is a 200+mph supercar with real substance underneath the style.

Inside, the collaboration continues. The black-and-white cabin carries Versace’s influence, but not in a way that turns the car into a designer billboard. The seats feature the iconic Versace pattern, and subtle leatherwork throughout adds to the already exclusive feel. Everything remains driver-centric and analog with open sightlines to the road, a thick Italian leather-wrapped wheel, and an interior wrapping tightly around you, the way Lamborghinis from this era do. It’s special, but it hasn’t forgotten what it means to be a raw, unfiltered Murciélago.

And that matters most when the V12 wakes up. Lamborghini’s 6.5L naturally-aspirated engine is nothing short of a legend that defines an unmatched era of supercars, with 632 horsepower, instant torque, a single-clutch automated gearbox that makes you time your shifts, and an all-wheel-drive system that gives the car traction when your heartbeat probably says otherwise. Zero to sixty in just over three seconds. A top speed that breaks the 200-mph mark with room to spare. The numbers hold up, but the experience is what inspires collectors and enthusiasts to own them.
Looking back, the Versace Edition marks an interesting moment for Lamborghini. The brand was beginning to embrace automotive fashion and lifestyle, but the cars hadn’t yet lost their rough edges. Special editions captured a different take on what made a Lamborghini exciting. With values rising and collectors paying closer attention to meaningful variants, this collaboration stands out as a limited run attached to a bold Italian identity and wrapped around a truly great engine.
