U.S. Porsche Experience Centers Celebrate One Million Visitors

Atlanta and Los Angeles mark a major milestone as enthusiasm for hands-on driving experiences continues to grow.

Since the registration of the very first 356 back in 1948, Porsche has built a cult following of passionate owners and enthusiasts, all of whom are infatuated with the thrill and love of experiencing what can only be described as the ultimate driver's car brand. From the track-derived performance of the iconic 911 to the off-road capabilities and comforts of the Cayenne, its well-rounded model line continues to inspire and motivate generations of dreamers who yearn for a Porsche of their own. It’s that same sense of loyalty and obsession that gave rise to Porsche’s passion projects—the two U.S. Porsche Experience Centers in Atlanta and Los Angeles. Today, more than 77 years after Ferdinand Porsche rolled out “No.1” Roadster, Porsche is proud to celebrate yet another monumental milestone, welcoming 1,000,000 visitors to its U.S. Porsche Experience Centers.
Rather than constructing another museum-style destination, with historic and significant examples tucked away behind glass and stanchions, Porsche decided to dream up the ultimate playground for purists to discover and learn, but more importantly, to drive. That significant seven-figure number is proudly made up of driving enthusiasts and families, as well as corporate groups who all share a love for the brand, automotive history, and the cars that define its DNA. Timo Resch, President and CEO of PCNA, expressed his excitement by saying, “The Porsche Experience Centers bring our brand to life in a way that can best be felt in person – ideally behind the wheel – and this milestone shows just how powerfully those experiences connect with people.”Located at One Porsche Drive, home to Porsche Cars North America, PEC Atlanta opened in 2015 as the brand’s first U.S. Experience Center, with PEC Los Angeles following a year later in 2016. Between them, the two locations feature three dedicated driver development tracks and extensive programs built to sharpen skills at any level, whether it’s your first time behind the wheel or your fiftieth. Continuing the celebration in perfect fashion, Atlanta recently welcomed Sally Carrera and Lightning McQueen to mark the 20th anniversary of Cars, while Los Angeles rolled out its new Design Your Drive program. Take it from someone who makes a point to stop by whenever passing through Atlanta: the Porsche Experience Center isn’t just worth a visit; it’s essential for anyone who genuinely loves all things automotive.
