With a century of history, Maserati is one of the most influential and celebrated Italian automotive manufacturers. Decades of classics have informed Maserati’s lineup today, and at the 2026 Auto e Moto d’Epoca, Maserati showcased both its cherished past and its impressive present. Held at BolognaFiere in Bologna, Italy, from October 22 through October 25, Auto e Moto d’Epoca is one of the largest automotive events in Italy, bringing together visitors and enthusiasts from across the globe, thousands of cars, and the leading manufacturers in the country.
At this year’s event, Maserati showcased an approach to automotive excellence that the brand has been well known for for years: grand touring. In both classic and contemporary forms, Maserati showcased Gran Turismo icons. The first was the 1972 Maserati Ghibli SS Coupe, known for a striking, sleek design and a 4.9-liter V8 engine with 355 horsepower on tap. The model itself is currently celebrating its 60th anniversary, and it was juxtaposed with Maserati’s latest high-performance grand tourer: the new Maserati GranTurismo Trofeo.
Powered by the iconic 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno V6 engine, Maserati’s latest GranTurismo Trofeo boasts an impressive 590 horsepower, evolving Maserati’s classic grand touring concept with high performance alongside luxurious comfort and captivating design. Displayed on the FIVA stand at the event was another classic: a 1970 Maserati Ghibli SS Coupe, completing the brand’s presence at this year’s Auto e Moto d’Epoca.
