The grand opening event for the new facility was attended by Maryland’s governor, Wes Moore, McLaren Automotive CEO Nick Collins, McLaren Automotive COO Henrik Wilhelsmeyer, the company’s CQO, Jochen Schnez, and McLaren Americas President Nicolas Brown. The grand opening not only showed the capabilities of the new Vehicle Processing Center, but also showcased a curated selection of McLaren supercars for attendees to view.

The state-of-the-art facility is the result of more than $10 million of investment in facilities and tooling, and provides several jobs to the local economy for technicians, as well as paint, logistics, and management personnel. Located at Tradepoint Atlantic in the Port of Baltimore, the facility is built for processing and enhancing vehicles with systems and technologies for ensuring the preparation and finishing of McLaren’s supercar lineup.
